"Trees, no, the forest feels pain just like elves. Or even Kobolds. I know your kind lives only twenty years at most, but some of these trees are hundreds of summers from the seed. Would you really want to destroy something that took so long to reach it's current state? Surely, there are alternatives to destroying nature's beauty for the sake of something meant to kill. Why not spend your short, wretched lives doing something more productive? Perhaps you could find a cave to live in, out of sight and out of mind. Alternatively, there are human and dwarven settlements reasonably close. You could go and ruin their horrible cities and mines. Please leave the forest unmolested, however.
