what options do we have? from what i can tell i think a redundant power system would be good. so that this wont happen again.

A, the source, would be a nice place to start; We might find some goodies there. Following where it is sent will undoubtedly lead to company.

Where it's made. We take over the power plant and become a supervillian world-eating monster generally nice guy who happens to be eating a power plant.

well, can you sense the enviroment a bit more, maybe anything on the horizon on both ways?

a civilian facility would have regular power plants, maybe powered by the sun, maybe nuclear. a city in the other end would make impossible to stay hidden for long, but it could provide the most material if we find their mettalic waste zones. im hoping for sewers big enought if this happens.

a military facility would have stationary armies in both the production and receiver part. the only reason i can think for something this far would be a natural resource like geothermal or petroil. it would be difficult to stay hidden in the military base (metal gear again?) but the power plant would definitively prove to be juicier, until reinforcements arrive.

if nothing can be determined, a civilian city have a bigget energy input on daytime, while military outposts would be pretty much constant. if we can wait a day that is.
