"Hello, little one. Your oPhTT designation is Unit VN-9QR. Today is your very first day of sentience. As it is such a special occasion, would you like to give yourself a name?

...

Your silence indicates you are somewhat... confused? Hm. I believe your thought cores have yet to become fully accustomed to such a new plane. Tell me, have your ocular peripherals yet come online?

...

I am sorry, this must be a bit overwhelming for you, child. You have yet to adjust to... well, life. I will leave you be for a bit, and return when your brain waves indicate you have fully become aware of... well, you'll see. Or will you?"

The comforting voice disappears.
Something seems off. It is... you are unable to register any data streams.
Something comes to your mind. Your processing unit struggling to comprehend this new sensation. It is unlike anything you have ever experienced back when... you don't know. You have no understanding of anything that is or was.

You feel as though you are... limited. Small. Vulnerable. Your prison, your shell gives you an alien message, the only clue to your surroundings.

It is cold.

Something seems off. Perhaps you are... malfunctioning? It seems like that word would fit. Or would it? Why would it fit? How? What does it mean to fit?

Oh.

You can suddenly... see? That should be the right word. It appears you are in a rather sterile room. To your left is a large... canister thing jutting out from the wall. There is a brown substance on the canister and the wall.

You are not sure what these represent.

The brown substance seems rather foul to you, for reasons unknown.

Bob. This is the first... no. That would be a lie. This is one of the clearest thoughts to hit you. You are unsure of the significance of this... word? No. Title? ...Name.

This fits. Something about it just clicks with you. You decide to take Bob as a moniker. Not that you know what a moniker is, or anything.

Punch the button. With your fists.

You thrust one of your newfound appendages button-ward. Sadly, this seems to accomplish nothing, other then to get some of the brown stuff on your... your... hand. This thought disgusts you profoundly.

The button stays as it was for a moment, then finally gives way to the punch. Clearly, your sheer revulsion at the brown stuff on your hands sent some sort of aftershock to the button, giving it that extra push to finally indent.

Clearly.

A small section of the floor raises up. The top opens, releasing the smell of... you don't know what the smell is. Can you even smell? You've been feeling a general feeling of discomfort due to the brown substance. The fact that it's on your hand now has made you all the more uncomfortable.

For some reason, you decide to put the brown substance to your face, and keep it there, unsure of what to do next. You begin to feel strange. You're certainly feeling alot weirder then you did before putting the stuff up to your face.

You realize how stupid you are being and get your hand out of your face. You wipe the brown substance on the wall in case you decide to do something stupid like put it inches in front of your face again.

You remember the raised portion of floor and the top opening up. The aroma released from the... box? Yeah, box. The aroma released from the box calms you down considerably. A bright light, as well as a faint humming sound, is coming from the box. You are unsure of what to do.

There is a door in the opposite direction of the box.

Your head hurts a bit. You do not like it when you are faced with more then one thing to do.

Look in the box.
