I remember only one thing - when the meteors came.

They fell upon the city, striking down buildings and causing explosions. I heard blood chilling screams and panic...

When I woke up, I knew I wasn't the same... I just knew. I don't even remember how I looked before, I just felt odd. There was no one around me. Everything was silent. There weren't even fires in the distance, but the city around me was just a ruin.

Here I am now... unsure of what happened, who am I or what should I do... If I want to survive I better think of something... I think. Or search for survivors... or I don't really know. It's all a tangled mess...

Well first things first. Presumably you still need sustence of some kind. So finding water and something edible should be first order of business. Finding survivors and shelter can come after that.

Shit looks pretty wrecked though. So you might have to search a bit and possibly walk towards the edges of the ruin where stuff should be a bit less wrecked.

The scenery stretching out before me is just a sea of ruins. I think there's more intact buildings somewhere around here, but I can't really tell with the skyline full of destroyed skyscrapers.

Food and water? Got it. I think there might be some kind of a store somewhere or something similar where I can stock that up.

>>283136

I don't think so, I mean... I feel naked. Was I wearing anything? Damn I just can't remember. And if I did, where did that go?

>>283143

I'm not wearing anything. This... is my skin? I don't really know. It feels kind of odd, kind of alien.

>>283153

Is that so? I'll need to find a mirror then to see if that's true. Shame on you if you're lying though. You should treat women with more respect.

Uhhh. I'm really lost. Should I head into the skyscraper direction? I think there's a bridge or somesuch in the opposite direction. I can't really say much, given there aren't really that much landmarks of any sort.
>>

Depends a bit on the layout of the city. But skyscrapper direction is probably towards the centre of the city. Depending on how the strike went that might be the worst hit area. Or the most looted area. Probably better to start with the edges, so head away from the skyscrappers.

First off, you seem to be either wearing a very strange and/or magical helm, or you are undead, or possibly an alien. Check your head, as well as your general sense of touch: what parts of your body have no feeling?

No doubt you have survived the meteors by sake of being what you are, or perhaps what you are wearing. Pay it no mind, and consider your 'skin' to be what was left of your original clothing, most likely some form of multi-morphic polymer skin-suit with an advanced metallic nanoweave to insure optimal safety of the wearer and integrity of the suit.
In short, you are wearing the equivalent to an HEV suit, or if w'ere lucky a Black Carapace.
Head onwards to the skyscrapers, and stay hidden. Assuming worst case non-apocalyptic scenario, those meteors weren't alone.
Assuming the Apocalypse has occured, start praying and watch the sky for signs of a blowout.
Godspeed, you nameless abomination.

I can feel everything, even though it doesn't look natural to me, it is my skin for some odd reason. I'm not really in the mood for experiments beyond few pinches, let alone cutting myself.

>>283293
>>283170

Heading towards the skyscrapers made me wonder in seemingly undamaged blocks. There are few vehicles here that got turned over - Useless I think. While at this corner there's a store with half-broken window. The dust concealed most of it, so it would be difficult for me to see through it without wiping it.

But I think the most interesting thing is around the corner...

What was once a park, I think, doesn't look as one no more. The vegetation is mostly gone, the grass is sickly green. There seems to be an impact crater there in the distance and is that something shimmering there?

Well I can either investigate the shop, the impact site, look around the park some more or proceed towards the skyscrapers a little bit more. For some reason, I feel something odd in the air. Can't really place it, but it's not something worrying at least.

OW! That stung! I'm pretty sure I'm not wearing a suit nor am I dreaming.

I got to the impact site... or rather impact sites, as the meteors seem to have fragmented and worked like a cluster bomb, blowing the buildings to bits. Unfortunately there's not much to be found around here, everything is devastated.

Except this... this is the source of that shimmering. Looks like some kind of a crystal shard. The air around here feels a bit charged, there's a small hint of ozone in the air. I have that weird feeling again as I get near it.

Nothing will happen if you grab it unless it is hot, which is a possibility. If the shard does not feel radiant, go ahead and pick it up. As I said before, though, it probably will not do you any good.

Prioritize food, water, and shelter over shards. Call out to see if there are any other survivors of this catastrophe.

[Unknown gained 2 ability points to spend]

[Skills that are greyed out are unbuyable. To gain access to skills, you need to find a trainer or a suitable source to train skill from]

[Power descriptions as follow:]
[Entropy: manipulation of surrounding - fireballs, flashes of light, water turning to ice suddenly. It's all entropy manipulation.
Energy: beams of particles, radio waves, radiation. Energy control power lets the user focus energy in the form of streams of photons.
Organic materials: DNA manipulation, pathogens and any kind of mutations are controlled by this power.
Nonorganic materials: Shaping lifeless matter - whether be stone, metal, ceramics.
Mental Influence: Influencing one's mind - either to damage it or to make illusions.
Astral Influence: Manipulation of life-force.]

Ok, lets pick some upgrades before looting that store. Immediate problems are still day to day survival. Entropy and Nonorganic materials should be good for that. Making tools is alot easier if you can shape materials with your will and being able to influence the surounding nature of things is quite useful for a variety of purposes as well.

Time to try out the nonorganic materials thing a bit. Try to see if you can make a knife out of rock, or glass if the rock doesn't work out, or metal if you have any of that nearby. Have to have something for protection.

The smell of the slime monster. It has spotted you, time to try some emergency diplomacy.

Turn around and back away from it a bit. Say that you only want some supplies for yourself and a friend, and there is enough in here that will go bad before he can eat it all to share. You're fine with letting him have the location, and in exchange for getting some food you're willing to make some tools for him.

Chances are it's largely the same as you. Woke up in some weird place looking like a weird thing. That doesn't mean it might not be dangerous or hostile though. So keep your shield ready and your weapon near at hand.

"Me has to think."

He doesn't seem to be hostile just... horribly retarded and simple minded. What else should I do with him other than trade stuff?

Frey: you are a bad person you should feel bad about how endlessly cruel you are to your fellow sentient beings

Nothing really. If he accepts a trade then you get food for a very small cost and that's quite nice. He can keep the place as long as he's willing to trade with you.

You could probably show him what you can do also. Make something for him and tell him it's a gift.

Do you really have anything to TRADE, though? I suppose you might be able to turn some stuff into some other stuff... make a little playground/jungle-gym for him out of various metal pieces... he might enjoy oozing around various tubes and slides
