This has got to be the most boring waiting room I've ever seen. No magazines, cheesy elevator music, and even worse, no hot secretary to ogle over!

Seriously, this had better be worth the money....

Why thanks, I'll consider those compliments.

If you're wondering why I'm getting money for waiting here, here's the deal. I'm waiting for a little drug test, a kind of sell your body to science deal. I'm short on cash, high in debt, and just a little desperate. There may or may not have been some loan sharks involved. But hey, they're paying me to take drugs and trip out so they can see what kind of responses I give to different colors and such. It can't be all bad if they're paying me to get high!

But still, I've got to fill out this form before somebody shows up to take me to my room.

Well then, how should I answer these?

I quickly nod and make sure I'm at the right test, the one with the drugs. He nods politely.

"Of course, sir, let me tell you what we are going to do, just to make sure you are comfortable! Your room is the wardrobe, though you can take another room if you'd like. It's the third door on the right. Once you are there, you may wait for the rest of the examinees to arrive, since we will need 10 of you to begin. You will all begin in your rooms, have the drugs administered, and then be put through a series of cooperative tests in order to judge your critical thinking capacity while under the influences of these common drugs. Once everything is complete, we will hand you your check. The amount advertised was $200, but if you suffer side effects or are injured in any way, we are prepared to double that"

Seriously though, walking out wearing nice clothes that don't belong to you will probably be easier to get away with than stealing 4-6 figures worth of wardrobe and fencing it off.
What's the most masculine you can pull off boyo? The clothes are the first step to making the man when the man starts out looking as feminine as you do. We have a lot of work to do--provided you don't want other people thinking you're a girly. I suggest you try a nice suit, a short, sharp, and neat haircut high on the forehead, and a nice pair of snakeskins because you just don't have the build to cut it in a tank-top and army-pants.
If some of what they're giving can help like testosterone or one of the other good steroids and steroidals maybe we can move on to something less dressy... but trust me when I say that skeletal is not a build to show off unless you're a female runway model maybe.

I like trenchcoats but you're a bit too skinny and creepy-feminine to pull one off probably--people might think you're a flasher. Try one on and look in the mirror to double check in case I'm wrong, they are awesome for providing pockets and ways to hide small and medium firearms.

Well, here's what we have.

Poncho: No pockets... but it looks cool, I guess.

Stop being an idiot and check for internal pockets. Most trenchcoats have internal pockets on each side and probably at least one of the jackets do as well.
That however is not a trenchcoat. It's some kind of longcoat but trenches all have epaulets and usually also armets for rank insignia because their first mass-adoption was as battlefield dress for officers in the first world war. It's also missing the belt loop D-rings and belt.
Huh, it's not a duster is it? Those usually have even more pockets than trenches and button-snap dividers in the back. Those are really nifty because they're designed to be able to conform to a rider using internal straps and this would make it good for climbing ladders and other things you would expect a long-coat to get in the way of.
Really, dusters tended to have a lot of external pockets too so I'm guessing this is some half-ass prop coat if it doesn't have any internal pockets--it's missing waist-pockets for FSM's sake! Oy, maybe they don't care about these clothes because they're low-quality stage costumes or cast-offs kept for hobos?

Hmm, there's 23 dots on the paper and 23 clothes-hangers.
7 of these dots are opaque, there are also 7 dresses.
You do not wear dresses, so these are not your clothes.

On the other side of the mirror, there are coats.
You wear coats, so these are your clothes.

I believe the objective of this test is to get your mirror self to arrange the coats on her side according to the dots on your note and to arrange the dresses on your side according to her note.

Maybe you should try talking to her?

Yea, you're probably right. We should talk with her a bit, at least let her in on what we've noticed, and ask if she has anything she wants to mention. I wonder what's up with her not talking though. Is she mute? Or just shy? I doubt it's the latter, considering how she's been acting.

Tell her your name at least. Even if she won't/can't tell you hers. Maybe there's a connection. Let her know that she's just as welcome to try something. You don't want to push her around too much. Nobody likes that.

Any clue as to what the black and white dots represent? I guess the line is the mirror divide. Are there dark and light clothes? Do all the coat hangers have mirrors on them?

Also suggest that you both put on the sunglasses for a minute or so. maybe you'll see through each others eyes or something awesome. Put on the sunglasses and try out a movie quote, like "Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Matrix is. You have to see it for yourself." Then feel smug.

Agreed. We want her cooperation, not her hatred.

>>312342
I'll explain the black an white dots, from how I understand it. There are 23 dots, 15 white, 8 black. There are 23 coat hangers on each side of the mirror.

Now, of course, it makes sense that our side should use the mirror side instructions, and mirror-girl needs to use our instructions.

Another thing, is that the instructions have 12 dots on the top row, and 11 on the bottom. The actual coat hangers are arranged with 9 in one, and 14 in the other. We should probably make sure that the number of coat hangers on each side follows this example, 12 on the left, 11 on the right, in addition to the clothes going where the black dots are.
>>
No. 312382 ID: 9c538a

>>312357

It's trickier than that. It looks like we aren't tripping enough for the hangers to move differently. So when we move a hanger, hers floats through the mirror air and invites a mirror punch. So we can arrange our hangers and coats in the order the diagram suggests, but it could mess up the order of her hangers and coats. If she tries to fix it, like as not it would mess up ours too. Unless her instructions are an exact mirror image of ours that is, in which case our solution will produce her solution, but I doubt it's that easy.

I wonder, if you put a coat over a hanger so it covers the hanger's mirror, does it stop moving in tandem with the mirror hanger?
>>
No. 312392 ID: 5f55fe

>>312382
I thought of that already, but if you look at both sides, you'll notice that none of the hangers that have clothes on our side, have clothes on her side. So it's simple, as long as each side puts the clothes where they need to be.

I doubt covering the mirror will have any effect.

Tell Kazzly there's someone behind her straight away and that she needs to find mirrored objects like that other door with the white handle ASAP if she wants your help in any way.

If things get dangerous remember they can hear you through the mirror so you can potentially shout as a distraction.

I yell out to Kazzly on the other side to watch out. Just to be sure, I try and lift the mirror off of the wall to block him, but it won't come undone! I can only get two corners off at once for some reason...!

"Well, talk about a welcoming comittee, eh?" Comes a rather rough feminine voice from the other side of the mirror. Wait, that was... a girl?!

Er... that's a good idea. I'll need to check on that. Probably should've thought of it sooner!

"Oy, Sydney! This chick's on our side, don't worry!" A girl's voice, rather rough, comes from the other side of the mirror.

Sydney looks askance. I take the opportunity and smile and say "Bienvenido?"

He looks at me funny. "I ain't Italian, son" Oh lord, that is the worst southern accent I've ever heard.

Skip introductions, assess danger on Kazzly's side. Find out if others see the same details - hanged bodies, nasty scrawl, etc...

There are two sides, so if you see three people on Kazzly's side, there are going to be two other people on your side. It's possible that Kazzly's "mirror world" is somehow restricted, like there is no way outside, and that's why the people there hung themselves. No other choice outside of starvation...
>>
No. 325259 ID: 5f55fe

Are there the mirror equivalents for the new people who arrived on your side? I'm curious if any of the people hanging on that side are the double's of anyone alive on this side. We need to figure out the connection between the two sides. We may be a double with Kazzly, or we may not. It could be just set up that way, so that there's people on both sides, of opposite genders. Without conclusive evidence, there's no way to know. It is a test after all, anything could have been set up.

We should look into the room in the middle, the one that used to be labeled "do not enter"

All the rooms the others came out of are likely just other test rooms, and not a concern.

nonononon, she is WAY too dangerous to hit on. and also, her partner could still be trapped because instead of the door being unlocked it is broken. so that means she ditched them, so she would be untrustworthy to watch your back. just be ready for anything.

You are assuming the door on the mirror side is still there. It might have been blown up as well. From what we've seen, opening/closing a door on one side will do it on the other. I don't see why blowing it up will change that.

It seems that everybody made it out alright, by some miracle.

A voice booms from some hidden speaker in the room.
"Oh, I see that everybody has made it out. Though... it appears that one of the locks broke. Ah well, you are all probably in the foyer listening now! So everybody, one at a time, please say 'present'!"

I point to myself to start the order. One at a time, we all yell present... except for Kazzly on the other side. I quickly tell the butler about how she can't speak... and quickly tie in a bit about getting a bonus for personal injury.

"Hm... must be a side effect of that knock-out gas I used...

Wait... knock out gas?!

I also let him know about the bodies and writing on the other side.

The speakers are silent for a while.

"Well... it seems that I must get right down to business with all of you. There are ten of you, correct?"

Either we're tripping balls, or something is very very wrong and we have been very very lied to. We have no way of determining the former so we must act on the latter. As much as the Butler just screwed us, there is apparently someone else that is more immediately hostile. We'll have a bone to pick with Mr. Effeminate later, but for now we should follow his advice as he obviously knows more than we do. On this train of logic, we should find out as much as possible from him so we're less reliant on his direction. Let's start with two things:

One - What exactly are the mirrors doing? Is that like an alternate dimension or what else could it even be? Can we cross over or otherwise interact on a level we don't already know?

Two - Who are we supposed to kill? Why? What should we know about him? What is Butler so obviously afraid of that he had to trick us into becoming his lackeys?
