I'd consider looking through his stuff, but that might be tampering with evidence. I've watched enough Cop show to think that might make it inadmissible or something. I don't want him to get off because I did something I shouldn't have.

Oh I think I should give you an update. In the 5 day's that have passed I have gotten to know her a little bit. She attends the art school with me, and works there part time as an assistant. I have also met a few other girls that I think are nice too. You will meet them later.

On a side note, I think she's checking me out.

The police arrive quickly. There must have been a car around the corner. They collect the perp and ask us both a few questions. They ask Ninje to come down to the station in the morning.

You should think about getting some nice clothes, your traditional sergal getup looks a bit worse for wear, and you could use more than one non-work outfit.

Also here is some info on the potentials that I have found. These are 4 girls that have shown interest in the last 5 days. They are listed in order of the chance I think I have with them.

Girls I have met so Far

Ninje: 1 a 1/3 hearts. Southern Sergal.
A fellow class mate at art school and seem to be a part time teacher their too. She lives in the apartment below me.

Nurse Jill: 1/2 heart. Volto.
I met her at work and she is real nice. You will see her later if you choose to follow me there. Problem is Dr. Bungalow like her too. And he can get me fired.

Mepchi: 2/3 heart and 1 black heart. Nevrean.
She is another student that is attending several of the schools. She is always trying to chat me up before and after the class we share. She has made a few obvious flirtations. But a can smell her fear of me.

Mopollie: 2/3 heart Moogle.
I like small girls but she's pushing the limits of possible. She teaches a class at the art school, but not one I'm in.

Just cause somebody mentioned it, and I have time, I swing by the mad science academy or what ever its called. Here I volunteer to be a Guinea pig for their strength augmentation treatment.

They tell me that after this I will have to work out the old fashion way to get any stronger. Unless I don't mind my muscles ripping off my bones.

I pay my 2 golds and go home and spend the rest of the night throwing up and aching. The normal side effects they say.

The new clothing cost 2 golds as well. The vest was expensive

They next day I go to meet Ninje at the restaurant in the mall for lunch. Its a nice Asian fusion buffet that she likes. Sergals eat a lot. High metabolism and large bodies and... well its were she wanted to go okay!

As I'm walk through the mall, I see Mucho Mucus. He runs the Business College across the street from my apartment. You've heard the saying "those who can't do, teach".
That was made to describe him. He took an instant disliking to me for some reason. Maybe because I looked like a lumpy blue kangaroo at the time.

Mucho: "New wrappings sergal, dose that mean you've be re-gifted?"

He's right in my way, arms crossed with that smirk of his. I'm sick of him, he's worse than Dr. Bungalow.

Stronger, almost certainly. I know I can run faster than a volto. But he may be quicker and more agile. With my recently upgraded physic, I'm a sergal of average strength. (Stronger than most anything else at average)

I am however very short. Ninje for instance is a southern sergal and we are about the same height. Well she is also a bit taller than average. If it came to a fight, it could go either way.

How much time do you have? Find a way to lose this guy before meeting Ninje, like go through some other shops first if you can.

I guess one fight advantage would be your massive jaw filled with sharp teeth, but you never know if he's the kind of asshole who carries a knife or something. This is probably not the best time to start destroying someone in the middle of a populated mall.

Maybe you should go swimming sometime soon. It'll be a good, safe exercise for your newly enhanced muscles and you can check out the women. Especially if any of the girls you know want to come.

I don't blame anyone for forgetting this one single entry from chapter one. It was a minor post a long time ago.

But I have established a lack of fire arms in the setting of this quest. If they exist they are far outside the reach of any character including law enforcement.

I was not planning for it to matter at the time when I stated this. But then the quest has really gone down a different path.

Canon sergals are pretty bad, but not terrifying. Sergal civilization is like living in a Roman Legion 24/7, as long as you can be useful, and aren't obvious prey, they'll let you live and do your thing.

However, if they brought General Rain Silves along, now would be a good time to ask your brother to kill you before the nightmare begins.

Also, Toby? Your brother may be crazy, but he's got a funny sense of humour, eh?

Since the quest author most likely won't allow the meta-creation of firearms, should we start thinking up alternatives? I'm thinking electrified floor panels for defense and ambushing them with cars.

There's not much you can do. Try to talk a bit with your crazy brother to see if he'll help you out with any eventual escapes or plans. See if he has any tricks hidden up his jacket.

Inspect the cell for weaknesses.

Perhaps this is some sort of test. The other sergals may want to see what you'll do with the Volto.

Option one: Kill volto and try to join your SERGAL BRETHREN.
Option two: Form a team with the volto and your brother to escape and then fight back against the canon sergals using SUPERIOR VEHICLE BASED COMBAT.

Malco grins at the last statement.

Malco: "Well if I have something to pick them with. But We haven't searched the cell much. They had some solder watching us till just a little bit ago.

And yes with his freakish strength, Huge can bend the bars.

It's to small for me. Malco might fit.

I'm not sure if he's randomly yelling various words when he speaks or if he's specially emphasizing certain ones. If the latter, tell him it's cool if he BREAKS rather than BENDS. Also see if the Volto can pick the lock with the scifi dagger. Any thief worth his salt can improvise. If not, just send him through (feel free to give him a not-too-gentle shove if it's a tight squeeze) and let him know that if he doesn't make sure to come back and let out you big strong sergals he'll just get eaten by the other ones the moment he runs into one. Which is inevitable.

Or tell him that he really doesn't want to leave the only two people in this town who won't go medieval on his ass, trapped in a jail cell and pissed off at him. Even if he leaves at least you got the volto off your hands. That always makes things simpler.

Huge is a bit crazy and can hear your voices. His reactions are not nearly as reliable as other characters though.

Malco has a shard of that orb. It will also let him hear you and react to commands.

Well we've got a chair. A cheap flimsy looking table. And a halberd?!

Toby: "They left that there?"

As a side effect of Huge ripping out his "pole arm", Toby can fit through.

Huge: "Need to rip another one out."

Huge can continue to pluck out bars until he can get through, then equip himself with whatever he thinks he'd be best with. Give the dagger to Malco and Toby can use either the halberd (if Huge doesn't take it first) or an iron bar. then we can proceed

then peek about the next cells.

Malco is cool with the knife. He knows a little about knife fighting which is way more than Toby. Huge might not like some one other than his brother with it but doesn't seem to notice at this time. Toby takes the halberd. It feels... good.

For all intents and purposes we're disembodied voices that can watch you and speak to you from a limited perspective, not inherently trustworthy but in some cases we do give good advice and suggestions. To note, you're probably soon going to be rescued by Toby and his brother, and quite possibly that Volto that tried to break into your place. You remember Toby don't you? Well anyway they intend to rescue you, so you can either sit tight or try to accomplish something yourself.

Hopefully you know how to use that. Also don't use it unless the guard is completely out of the room.

You seem smart but i doubt you can lockpick a lock thats on the outside of the cell without someone noticing ...
And the file would get too loud ... and time consuming unless you want to sharpen your claws.

So you could talk with the guard, wait for help. Or wait for Mopollie to wake up maybe she can get out of the cell and search for Toby.

How far down is that driver's license card thing? Can you reach it if you use the lockpicks as some kind of chopsticks? Make sure you don't lose them!

If you think the guard will be away for some time then try the lockpicks on the cell door. One of them will be a torsion wrench to put some rotational force on the lock. The others might be a wobbly looking rake and a hook?

When applying rotational pressure just run the rake in and out of the keyhole to see if it's a simple lock that'll open through a bit of luck. Use your big ears to listen for pins falling into place. If the rake on its own doesn't do it then try to use the hook to get any remaining pins into the precise place for the lock to turn. Mind you that the raking part will make noise...

If you do get the door open you might want to just scout around a bit before returning to the cell as you can't really go running around with Mopollie without a plan. Unless you want to leave her behind.

Okay Ninje Picking the lock was a combination of beginner's luck and very good instruction on your part. She probably won't be able to do that again.

Mopollie has a broken wing and a wrench left arm. She can't fly or hold heavy things that would use two arms.

This end Chapter 3 as both groups can leave their cells. Do we continue with The boys or the girls next?

I didn't know they make the locks accessible from both sides on prison doors now ...

Give Mopollie a hug for good measure and get going. is there anything you could place in the cell like a blanket with stuff under So your escape isn't instantly noticed? Your focus should be on just getting away and out of town to safety. Mopollie proably needs to see a doctor somewhere.
