Yep, that is probably Anderson's letter. It should explain the details of what happened. Nan, look for the keyword "Bed" - Anna's Blasted Corpse was found in an elevator, Alan's corpse was under a bed.

Keep all the notes in your inventory. They may be useful in the future. For the heck of it, you should probably stock up on anything you find here, since your inventory is lighter.

... About the nightclub. Look, if it was an accident and you did your best, then all you can say is that you didn't cut corners and would fix the problem if given a second chance. Assuming that it was your work that accidentally set the building on fire.

Whether or not you're guilty of negligent homicide, you called your work your "duty". That takes a level of dedication to say normally about your day job. You've got little to be guilty about if you showed effort and respect in your work on an average daily basis.

For now, survive. If you can keep living, you can keep redeeming other Blasted Corpses. You might be able to fix this mess like you did for Anna and Alan. You may even be able to escape to an alternate timeline, and fix the damn nightclub wiring correctly. Or just sabotage it intentionally and call in an engineer to help you with the wiring mess.

You haven't given up throughout this journey. And you're still alive. Keep going!

Oh and watch out for Santiago. He is probably following you. He might be helpful, what with being part Dark.

Just want to point out that Anderson is the only one we've seen kinda go demon when he gets really pissed off. Something to watch for.

Well... damn. Nan, be careful. Showing this to Anderson outright might make him snap. Tell him the truth: you know now that he and his son were on opposite sides of the law, and this letter was a curse against him for hiding his violent/ruthless nature behind a badge. HOWEVER, tell him that YOU. CHANGED. HISTORY. When you saw him in that vision, he was fumbling for a pen. His mind was overloaded from all the pressure and thoughts in his mind, and he needed to spill them out on paper. But he didn't have a pen. YOU gave him the pen he needed. It changed things -

WAIT. Right. Changed history. That would explain all the amnesia.

TELL ANDERSON THERE IS HOPE, THAT BECAUSE OF WHAT YOU DID, ALAN COULD STILL BE ALIVE. IN AN ALTERNATE TIMELINE PERHAPS, BUT STILL ALIVE.

What the hell did Alan mean by "darkness inside of you"? Anyway, I guess... Anderson shot Alan while he was hiding under the bed. Or THOUGHT he was shooting Alan, only to accidentally shoot the hostage that Alan stashed under the bed. Or something like that.

Ouch... This is some seriously dangerous information. Dangerous for Anderson and, as long as he carries that revolver, dangerous for us.

As long as we have the letter, we are in danger. If Anderson learns that we've been keeping this from him, what do you think he'll do?

Either burn it up or give it to him. On one hand, Alan wanted him to know this. On the other hand, there's no telling what he'll do after reading it.

Have we tried to look outside from up here yet? Could give us a good view of the hotel as it currently is, or something equally interesting.
If we're feeling really suicidal, we could even try to shine the flashlight onto everything to see if it works.

I've been having these wierd thoughts lately. Like is any of this for real or not?

The newspaper clipping mentions Father Velasco. Try scraping the blood of the article around that as well. You didn't get mcuh off of the Fatal Elevator tidbit, but if that paper has to deal with our neighborhood monster, we need all the information we can manage from what we've got.

Scratch that article free. Let's see our lotto numbers, so to speak.

I knew that before, I'm just amused that it's finally confirmed that it is in California this deep into the story, while we've been speculating that it's based on the song sense near the beginning.
