>How did you become captain?
I do not know how I came to be on this ship or what happened to its original crew but I do remember wandering these halls, constantly hungry, absorbing anything that I could use to grow larger, soon developing a consciousness, a mind of my own. Then one day I found myself inside this control room, I was much smaller back then and had gathered a stockpile of edibles, I wandered through space for who knows how long, and then one day I came across the Tapogs sending out a distress signal. When they asked who the captain was well, I replied.

>Just how big are you?
I have grown significantly after I rescued the Tapog merchant ship mostly because they brought me gifts of food which I absentmindedly ate which made me grow to cover this entire room. While I have grown less ravenous my mobility has also suffered.

>How much do you and Huin know about the Tozol?
Huin and the other Tapogs refer to the Tozols as "Space Demons" because of their vicious nature to ruin the wealth of space merchants by raiding their vessels. Of the few files not corrupted in the ship's computer is a fairly detailed analysis of a Tozol's capabilities, fighting preferences, their origins and lists protocols on the handling a Tozol. Looking at this file I would hazard a guess that this is probably not a Tozol ship.

>Have you tried to communicate with the Tozol?
Well she awoke quite suddenly and violently and after ripping that beast to pieces the idea never came up. She did seem to say a few things for a while but the translators had trouble with deciphering what she was saying and she eventually went quiet. Communicating with her would be something on my to-do list but right now there are more pressing matters at hand.

>How badly was the Tozol damaged?
It seemed to be a clean through and through shot from the cheek to the center back of the head. As far as her memories are concerned I would not know but it seemed like she knows exactly what she is, unlike me.

>The crew’s skills
Starting with me I have an acute sense of hearing and smell, a left over trait from when I was roaming these dark corridors. As I have grown however I developed interesting abilities like the ability to shape my mass into something that isn’t just a bunch of tentacles. Another ability that I recently developed is a limited form of telepathy. I can see through the eyes of a willing mind and I can also implant a subconscious suggestion. The suggestion isn’t powerful enough to overpower their will but it is able to give a push on matters that they are unsure on. I have found it somewhat useful on the Tapog Captain to push for more charity from him then he would normally give.

Huin the Tapog has a merchant oriented skillset and also greedy like most Tapogs. He is not physically strong and not particularly brave but he is quick witted and extremely ambitious. If his claims about his skill to sell any kind of goods are true then he could be a valuable person to have.

The Tozol as far as I know is a Tozol. We don’t really know any of her skills at this time but she has shown herself to be proficient at both fighting and eating things. If I can convince her to help us then she could be useful in securing this ship.

the wandering the halls eating things makes it sound like you might connected to the monsters. possbly sharing an oragin. do you remember if any of the things you ate when wandring the halls were setent? also what are the protocals for dealing with a tozol?

does your ship have any weapons on it of any kind? and by weapons I mean both guns on the ship to protect it from other ships and anything for the crew to defend themselves with, or not really at this time?

What's the nearest system where you could find a lot of unemployed, unimaginative, desperately poor people? With an offer of a home, employment, and food, you could get HUNDREDS of grunts to help clear and secure the ship. Then all you need to pay for is equipment, supplies, and a few competently-trained and equipped crew to train the others.

For the direction this thread seems to be going in...

um, do you think you will ever draw up a map of how much of the ship we have explored so we can get a better idea of what we have to work with or we shouldn't really hold our breath on that one?

Still figuring out that bit. Regular ways of mapping wont work for something like this at this scale so it's presenting a bit of a challenge.

do it in floor plan slices. draw one floor and mark stairs. then next floor. the stair spots overlap.

only other way would be to draw it like Dead space in game map.

You seem to have forgotten that the ship is 6 kilometers long.

I just thought he could color code the ship.

Like the cargo bay would be blue, the armory is red, and then go buy the floor by floor plain depending on the area and just have the lines or background of the map just match the color of the area so you know where you're at.

Yeah, I'd imagine it would with a ship this size. I assume you weren't planning to place all the small rooms, halls, maintenance conduits, and such yourself and just abstract those away, leaving only the major hallways and other elements to place yourself. Marking areas like >>76093 says would make sense. Then make rules to cover what is in those types of areas, and how they connect and only chart out maps for them if we actually go down there.

Somewhat off-topic: Will the ship have a tram transit system? Because that would fit with a ship this large.

>>76092
This reminds me to ask: How wide is the ship and how many decks does it have? We can already estimate it's about 1.5 kilometers tall at the tallest from the OP image, but that varies quite a bit from fore to aft.

The ship had better have a damn tram system. I'm not walking 6km to fix a broken taillight.

>>76130
Yeah, but to use the tram system you need to acquire a Kinesis module and fully charge a Stasis Pack.

As some of you probably noticed I misspelled dungeon. I am trying to get this fixed.

Eh, I just assumed it was a made up alien word that simply resembled the word "Dungeon".

I just thought that Dungen was the name of the ship or something like that.
