Right, so, this thread is both for discussion of The TGchan Caravan and for opting in and out of it as a quest author.

In order to be eligible, you have to have either completed a quest or have maintained one for a good amount of time. Otherwise, you will be shot on sight.

You will also have to give us your rough location in the world, though you may lie through your teeth about it.

We don't ask for much in exchange for your participation. If you're one of the up-and-coming authors, please follow these few rules.

• Update at least once a day. You can update more than once a day, however.
• Don't kill off other quest authors or otherwise abuse them for no reason without permission from the author in question. Comedy counts as a reason, but only if it's actually funny, and not just 'oh look I'm stabbing Trout in his buttock oh what a lark'.
• Give up control of the quest when it is your turn to do so.
• Always try to be going towards or selecting the next quest author who will gain control of the quest.

Other than that, you have complete control over the quest!

Cash that can be used to like buy beer and stuff. So come grab me. I'll be near the Sizzlers at fresno. Can't go to the chinese place anymore.

Welp I am bad enough at arts to say I'm not willing to actually do updates, but if you want to pick me up in south San Jose (about a 40 min drive from IdiomAlpha) I can be an NPC.

+1 car, +$$$, I'm not as full of innuendo and flirtation IRL as I am on IRC but since I'd be an NPC that doesn't matter.

You should pick me up when the caravan reach Europe, I can give you vegetable, cheese, livestock and I own a totally not suspicious white van we ca use to carry other author…the red liquid dripping from the back door it’s definitely not blood nor the red liquid on my slaughter apron…yeah, any way I live in piedmont Italy, in a not at all suspicious, isolated farm.

I have authored Wonderful World, Ink Quest, Witch of Whimbly, Peep Quest and Incense.

I have only completed one, which was a comedy one-shot parody of HatchQuest called HootchKwust!

I update at least once daily, but occasionally miss days due to my busy schedule. I live in Seattle.

Since many people seem to be uncertain of meeting the update speed requirements, and certainly not because I am a lazy bastard, the required update speed has been changed to at least once every 48 hours!

Also, for those who have posted in this thread looking to join up, don't wait for a reply from us! Just assume you're on the list and act accordingly.

Sorry for the slow update speed! Larro unexpectedly lost his tablet while fighting time-travelling Aztecs, so Trout and I spent the last few days dueling for the honor of caravan control.

At least that's the excuse I will be using from now on.

hey so uh
since i was listed as one of the q.authors you could pick from at the beginning of the quest, i'm assuming i'm already in, but
i thought it would just be nice to post a little intro here for people who don't know me from the irc/my quests
i'm FRACTAL and y'all should pick me up when you get to cleveland
i have a bunch of useless junk, plus the authority that comes from my official titles as slut-governor of ohio, floozy-in-chief, executive hoebag, etc.
that shit holds weight, guys
i run fudgequest and rekitzchenstreben

Since we seem to be introducing ourselves for the future.
I'm Ave, and I'm in the process of running The Murderous Testament of Ildmir Dolmeri III for which I really should find a shorter name to refer to it by. I promise it'll get to a plot soon. Anyway, I hang around in these here South Florida wetlands, meaning I'll probably be one of the last ones to get on board. In the way useful stuff, I got my buddies down here, and we all got these TEETH, CLAWS, and BORDERLINE BULLETPROOF SKIN. Also I got some wallets from the tourist snacks that come through every so often.

Hello, I am Overlord.

For those who are shamefully unacquainted with my magisterial exploits, I am the author of Space Marine Quest, Doolbag's Mission, and BLOODQUEST.

If you girl scouts find your way around the 'Australia' region at some point, consider picking me up. If not, make me an NPC like Kalt or something, I don't fucking care.

Trout said he would take it over and then didn't.

I wasn't having much fun, and in all honestly I'm kind of really tired of making joke quests-- I want to do something with more substance.

But if trout (or octary?) doesn't do something soon I might try to continue the sorta kinda story arc I had going
>>
No. 65928 ID: 55c4cf

I directly asked to be told when the update was intended to be made and a general idea because I was not sure what to do and I was told by Trout and Idiom that I would be talked to when it was time to go again, so I am mildly annoyed that it just started up anyway???

Whenever again i guess.

If people are going to blame the quest's death on me then I'll just keep updating it.

Trout and Idiom have taken way too long, so talk to me sometime I guess to figure out exactly what's going to happen... or opt out and I'll go to RML. Either way is fine with me at this point, so long as I don't take the blame for other peoples' failings.
>>
No. 65932 ID: 34cbef

i'm still here, is it mandatory that it has to be at my part of the quest in order to update? I don't have any issues for updating parts that i'm not involved in just to keep the quest going.

Why don't all the (potential and current) authors get a channel to plan things out? An IRC channel, or Skype, or some combination of things.

Updating randomly might be too chaotic... at the very least you'd want to be on the caravan first!

>>65933
Appreciated, but it's ok for the moment. I have a good idea where the quest is going at this point and people are ready to receive it.

>>65938
I don't think most folks are interested in that idea.

HEY THERE.

Hopefully, now that we're all past this spot of difficulty and self-doubt, we can get Caravan back on a normal schedule!! All respect to Slinkoboy for doing this against his will and keeping his record at 100%. We love you, man.

We're still accepting authors; So if you wanna hop on the caravan, just give us the location of where you'd like to be picked up and maybe we'll get around to you! The Caravan is currently in, uh.

Arizona, I think. I forget.

But, uh, yeah! Thanks for reading!
>>
No. 68496 ID: 55c4cf

Yeah I have been waiting to do a couple of updates for months, and there was an opening and I had an idea and now it doesn't look like it is going to work. I want to participate some but people only seem to communicate with me to tell me they had been waiting for me despite requesting direct assistance from the main people running it. I don't particularly know what to do besides wait for another opportunity.
>>
No. 68510 ID: 4e4163

When I talked to you about it, you said you were busy at the time! Then Slinko had it, and I'm not really surprised that you weren't contacted or worked with because he REALLY wanted to get his part done.

You don't HAVE to be where you're actually located, either! You can totally get back in after RML is done with her part.
>>
No. 68514 ID: 55c4cf

>>68510
I just wanted to be told when to do it, I am always busy and probably going to be forever. I did want to participate and that's why it went to Arizona in the first place.

There needs to be better communication. The point of telling both of you to let me know when was a good spot was to avoid this exact thing.
>>

when you guys get to my part just make a quick note of it here in the discussion thread. I'll try to show up to irc more often but I always have an eye on tgchan.
