Horrid screams of agony bounce down the chilly metal halls and vibrate through the walls and floor, barely heard above the din of the alarm.
>Everyone has seen this coming, but no one would do shit to stop it.
>And it's too fucking late now, if the red alert klaxon or the screams have anything important to tell me.
>Fuck, they're probably going to wring me out for this, the dumb shits. They'll say I wasn't doing my job.
>Though this is what I signed up for.
>It's the goddamn robot uprising, and I intend to stop it.

>Your mother as far as I'm concerned. Life-threatening danger, like an attack or some kind of melt down, what else.

>First, a quick trip to the armoury before I need to check in.

You're kind of a douche.
Speaking as a disembodied voice lacking corporeal form, I find little motivation to assist you in your endeavors.

>Alright, here are our options for a primary gun. These are a special set I've cleaned up and stocked up on in case we should ever be beset by hordes of rogue automatofucks. The rest of the guns are not quite as ready to kill industrial machines as these are.

>From the left now:
>The good old slug-lobber. Fires hot sub-sonic high-calibre death, half a pound of it per shot to be precise, and is pretty much the only gun here that has proper recoil. Feels wonderful whenever I pull the trigger. Comes with a variety of fancy ammo, but I think standard caseless will do.

>Next we have the fatty, EM induction projector. You can call it the microwave gun. Terribly effective. It's shown here without the harness and fuel pack required for it. Good for those who need something to overcompensate for, as it's a very big gun that's kept at crotch level.
>Next, we have the sleek, black beauty that is our standard laser rifle. I've highlighted the standard fuel cell pack in green, as it will be removed in favour of linking the weapon to a hip-mounted generator. We're low on fuel cells. They've been mysteriously disappearing over the past few months. See what I meant about the signs?
>And lastly we have my old love, the plasma weapon- comes in rifle (pictured) and cannon formats, the cannon being simply a heavier rifle that I cannot hold akimbo.

Affix them all to the power-assist exoskeleton you've been modding into powered armor.

...

You have been modding a power-assist exoskeleton into powered armor, right?

>No, not in space, but the atmosphere outside is practically that thin. I don't think we need to worry about blowing holes in shit that I didn't mean to blow holes in.

Powered armor isn't a robot, it's a tool.

Grab a cart or something, 'cause you're sure as fuck not leaving valuable resources behind.

You're acting as if the robots won't ALSO loot the armory. Or blow it up.

I think he meant just to take it with you to wherever your stronghold is but I'm guessing you don't have one?

Take the... Plasma RIFLE. Having one hand available can be important at times.

A tin can can't rip robots open at close range.

What kind of idiot would loot an armory and then RUN? Those four are your weapons, ergo you should take them.
Nobody else around here gave a damn like you did, so why should you leave your hard work for those ingrates?

If you're the armorer then you know that the regiment won't miss four guns.
Beyond that? You're bringing weapons TO the combat area, where there's a damn good chance you'll encounter unarmed personnel.

Take all four.

>Well, you know what? Fuck you. I will take all the weapons. But you know what would be lovely? If I could decide on which to fucking use first because I'd like to kit up. It's not as simple as just picking it up to point and shoot the weapon, I have to Smart-link it, and in some cases rig up a harness and pak. Carrying is easy.

It means I am effectively ambidextrous and can track and aim with two guns at once, as if with one. Means I can move my eyes like a chameleon too. Neat, huh?
