"Ow...what the hell happened?"

Last thing I remember is walking in the park, minding my own business...and now this. no object,s no sign of life, nothing. It's as if I'm...

Am I dead?"

Your eyes scan the entirity of the place for any sign of anything, only to be dissappointed in its nothingnes. Then, out of the nothingness, a voice.

"You are dead.

However, this is merely temporary. You are part of an experiment of my making, and as such we have needed to make...modifications. While we work, please answer the following questions, as they will aid us in determining how you proceed."

Questions and listsfill your mind, overwheliming you. Might as well answer them.

>which of the following colors is most suitable to you?
[]Red
[]Blue

[]Violet

>Which of these animals is most amiable with you?
[]Ape

>Which of these locations would be the most desirable to vacation?

Actually I picked male because I thought it was less likely to devolve into constant requests for the PC to have sex with the first friendly character introduced in the quest.

I actually had several responses prepared for trolls who suggested that. I'm not going to let this devolve into a sexfest.

Anyway, back to the storyline...gonna make you the girl (it was checked for you, after all) and give you the name Val Penelo (rolled dice for that one)

"We have your responses and are ready to start modification. this journey will be one of great risk, but also allow you to reap great rewards. Your success or failure depends solely on your action or inaction.

We wish you luck."

"Hell, what kind of speech was that? I mean couldn't the disembodied voice be at least marginally helpful?" The thought goes through you head before a burst of energy floods your senses, branching thorugh to every cell in your body. It's burning...but not painful.

Reanimation to commence in 3...2...1...

Val's eyes snap open as she awakens, utterly confused and more than a little scared.

"Okay...let's get all this out right now.

My name is Valerie Penelo, but everyone call's me Val. I'm 13 years old, and I have NO FREAKING CLUE what is going on.

Let's see...I'm in a bed in this room. aside from a dresser and closet there doesn't seem to be anything special. some really wierd paintings, a curtain, a bag in the corner...

what am I supposed to do from here?"

What to do indeed. She could just run out of the room right now, but her instinct tells her gathering anything useful would be her best move, at least to start.

First, attempt to locate any windows (may involve moving the curtain) and look outside.

Second, loot the room.

[Macro "Loot" to mean "Iterate through all available containers and likely hiding spots looking for items or anything unusual, taking anything that seems interesting or useful".]

Third, examine the paintings more closely.

The first thing you do is open the curtains to assess things like how high up you are, the weather, time of day...etc.

It also appears that whoever or hatever put you here didn't want you to have that information, the window has been bricked over.

"Seriously? who the heck bricks over a window?

*sigh*
Okay Val, this isn't a huge setback. Let's just see what we can find.

In the dresser are several pairs of clothes, most of them in various shades of blue. a quick thumbing through the tags shows they're all her size. Inside the closet, there's a wooden baseball bat, some shoes and several empty hangers.

The bag in the corner of the room is an over-the-shoulder messenger style bag, big enough to carry quite a bit of stuff. Inside is a card with Val's name, age and picture; as well as 3 notebooks and a few pens. The bat stays in her off hand in case she runs into a pedobear or something.

In one corner there's a coil of rope, which goes into the bag, and atop the dresser is a piggy bank. a shake tells you there's some money inside!

Other than that, your search hasn't turned up much that seems to be of any possible use.

Both paintings are just squiggly lines drawn on 8-inch square canvas. Pablo Picasso this guy ain't. hell you could pull somethign like that off...

Behind the paintings is...

more wall. no sign of any safes or hidden notes. Somewhat depressed, you leave the room, making sure to keep the door closed but unlocked.

Outside the bedroom you just exited is a hallway. There appear to be 4 other doors in the hallway, leading out into another room that you can't make out yet. All you can tell is there's a really bright light turned on in there.

As you stuff all the items found in the last post into the bag (save the bat which you're equipping, and the piggy bank - what do you want to do with that?) you peer out into the hallway.

(Pic is a map of the hallway. grey arrow is where the light is, red door is the room you came out of.)

Val is a bit curious, so she hesitantly knocks on the door right across from hers.

there seems to be no response, just the sounds of someone sleeping, snoring lightly.

Empty out the bank. Open the door. Try not to make much noise.

No. 226448 ID: e4e724

>>226442
You try to open the door to see who or what is inside...only to find that it's locked.

"Well that was a waste...good thing I unlocked mine, otherwise I'd be stuck here..."

As for the piggy bank, after pulling out the rubber stopper in its stomach, Val is able to extract a good deal of coin. It takes a minute or two but the final tally is $7.29 in change.

Val gets on one knee and takes a look at the doorknob.

"Hmm...well if this is like my door, then the locking mechanism is on the other side. Short of taking out the doorknob, I'm not getting in.

Ah well, whoever is in there has to wake up eventually, right?

Hmm?"

As your weight shifts, you stick a hand in a pocket and pull out a deck of playing cards. A quick scan shows it's a full deck, unmarked. Nothing at all special about it as far as you can see.

On the other hand, it does afford you a bit of a distraction if you intend to wait for the sleeper to awaken. But you could also explore the rest of the place...at least of what you can see.

check all doors.
>>

Val decides to check all the other doors in the hallway, maybe she'll get some more information.

(For reference, room A is the one you just came from, Room B is the one with the sleeping person; Room C is the other room on your side of the hall, etc. etc.)

Hesitantly you knock on Door C. You hear a few shuffling sheets, then a voice.

"Go Away!"

From your (limited) knowledge of the human voice, it sounded like a pre-teen girl, probably your age. Doubt she's in a good mood. Her door is also locked.

Rom D's door is also locked, but you can hear some thumping and strange gorans. Whoever is in there is either in pain or pleasuring themselves.

You're still not convinced this isn't some hidden camera show, so you make a vow to not engage in such faggotry. The Mod will hold you to it.

Room E's door is actually open! inside...well, it's a bathrrom. A fairly large tub, showerhead, a pedestal sink and a medicine cabinet with a mirror. A stack of white towels is in the corner, as well as a small box, the kind you'd put a ring in.

"Well, that was wholly uneventful..."

However, there's a strange aura you feel in here. It's almost as if there's a sense of familiarity here, evne though you'd swear you've never seen this place. It's comforting, but still very odd.

open ring box and check cabinet.
>>
No. 227777 ID: e4e724

>>226720
The cabinet holds nothing of real interest. Several clearly-labeled bottle of aspirin, antacids, cough syrup and a box of band-aids. You could stuff them all in your bag, but it's just as accessible here.

As for the ring box, there doesn't look like there's anything inside...but then if there wasn't, why did you pick it up?

Looking back into the hallway, you see something else strange: four circles drawn on the wall. One green, one blue, one red, and one purple.

For some reason that combination of colors seems familiar, but you can't place it...

I guess we go to the end of the hallway. does the arrow lead anywhere?
