[first thread- >>484606]

When I wake up, I am not in my bed.

I'm very confused, and I manage a worried mumble before I remember what I did before I slept.

Something tugs at the hem of my shirt.

I nod, and follow, but this time I do not grab on to Natty's shoulder.

I don't like to do that, it makes me feel silly.

Right now, we need to figure out where to go. Should we try and go to the study, Cloudy's bedroom, or Ma's bedroom?

That makes sense. I tell Natty we should head to her room, and she leads me down the hallway to take us to that corridor.

>>493110

I'm pretty sure she's still at work! I only slept for a little while, and Natty said it was daytime when she saw Cloudy outside.

Why is he worried about me? I'm not in any trouble now!

>>493128

A little while after we saw Cloudy, I was very tired. Natty let me rest for a little while in the kitchen. We were walking around and had breakfast before that, remember?

I often don't remember my dreams. I don't think everything's okay in my head anymore.

They're always very colorful, though, and I can see. It's nice.

Torture devices.

Be really careful when you're sneaking into Ma's room. If you get in make sure to investigate the closet for presents. Presents love hiding in closets.

[i can't find my tablet but i swore i was gonna update tonight so apologies for the quality of this'n ;u; i'll try to get to my tablet tomorrow]

We walk down the hallway to where Nat thinks Ma keeps her things. We wouldn't really know for sure, especially considering neither of us have talked to her since...

Well, we can't remember!

Natty seems to get really nervous by the time we reach Ma's door. I have to touch her shoulder when we stop, and she's shaking.

I ask her what's the matter, but she won't tell me why she's upset.

She just asks me to go in first.
>>

Well, you can't really see, so that might not be the best of ideas. Are you allowed in Ma's room? If not, that's probably why Nat's nervous

She can't open the door, so you pretty much have to go first. Get the flashlight out and on before you walk in.

... Well we couldn't exactly tell you what was in there hmmmm? [How do you loose a tablet, although lol I have no room to talk I lost my soldering iron once!]

Oh, well usually Natty can open doors. Like her door or mine. But she says this one is different. I don't really see how it could be, but I kind of understand that she's scared.

>>497750

That's probably why she's nervous, yeah. We don't usually leave our rooms, let alone go into Ma's room without her prompting.

Though she hasn't talked to us for a very long time, so I wouldn't expect her to.

I open the door with the flashlight in my hand, which Nat quietly tells me is helpful. I point it forward, though I don't really know which way I'm facing.

Natty tells me some of the things she sees in a tiny, scared voice. When I try to help her calm down, she goes completely silent and I can't find her.

"Natty?"

I hear her breathing. But I don't feel her.

What should I do?
>>

Try and find her, and get out of the room if you can, without her, you won't be able to do much.
Just be on the listen out for Ma, something tells me all is not as it seems

Walk back to the door. If you have to feel your way back, be careful. There may be sharp objects on the wall.

I start to back up. I'm nervous now. Natty still isn't saying anything.

"N-Nat? Natty are you here?"

There's a small hum. She's saying yes, I think.

A great big noise makes me even more afraid, and I jump, hitting the wall. It sounds like it came from outside.

"Natty, we need to go! Something happened, I think!" I'm shouting now and I'm scared. I don't like to shout but I don't know what to do!

Natty doesn't answer me still, and my hands are shaking at my sides. Why won't she say anything? What's the matter?

You now gain control of Natty. You can choose to take one of the two items on the dresser, the memory box or the journal.
>>
No. 498606 ID: 2de44c

well fuck

both sound critical...but from what cloudy has said, it may be safer to go with the journal. the memory box could bring some things back too quickly

hopefully after reading the journal, we can come back and take the memory box-for now, take the journal and retreat to yours or kus room to read, in case ma comes back
>>
No. 498647 ID: 91c1b3

You know how to read, right Nat? Pick the journal.
>>

calm your sister, she's freaking out since you're not saying anything.

Journal, we must know her secrets, there is more information than in the memory box. [Which quite frankly is probably just going to have Ku's eyeballs and Natty's hands.]

I do my best to scoop the book up and I clasp it tight against my chest.

I don't like this at all no not at all this isn't good it doesn't make sense

I was never able to find Ma's room before and why is our picture like that what did she do that for?

I hear Kuani whining and shouting behind me and I turn, quickly guiding her to the door and prompting her to turn the knob. That sound could only be Cloudy.

I guide her back up to the second floor as quickly as I can, into my room. I tell her she can lay down on my bed and she doesn't hesitate to.

I walk over to my desk and lay the book down.

I can read. I know how. It's been a very long time though.

I'm worried about what this might say. What it'll tell me. But... I guess it's a good idea to read it, right? Or should I try to get anything else taken care of?
