Your name is Albert Koning.
You work in the statistical mathematics department of a large buisness.
The year is Nineteen-Eighty.
And you are about to lose Your job.

You make a half hearted attempt to argue.
You knew it was coming, theres no getting around it.
Theres not much point even asking why, these things just happen you guess.

Its not like you weren't trying, it's just how things panned out. It has to be.
You are convinced if this. It has to be.

...yeah, this seems to work.

Aha, maybe you can finally stop contemplating that as soon as you leave the building.

You get on the bus you usually take home, and pause for thought for a moment.
Your mind goes completely blank.

Its as if some cosmic creator suddenly had all of their art assets for the next scene lost in a computer crash.

Ah, thats better.
You start paying attention again and notice how inhabited the bus is.
Nearly home now, you make a note to check with your doctor about this, maybe ask if its a side effect of your perscription.

This is your home.
Its awful.
A tiny, disgusting, cheap little hovel.
Cheap being the important bit.

Lets be honest, that job was it.
You don't know how you're going to survive now.
The economy is effectively dead here, the only work is on the other side of the wall, and you know yourself that you're not capable of doing anything that... stressful.

That in mind, you suddenly feel like you can take things into account.
Food: 7 days
Medication: 3 days
Morale: 5/10
Sanity: 17/20
Today's luck: ?/20

You feel horifically tired.

You're dreaming, you think.

You're in long hallway, somehow you know you're in a maze, but you can't figure out why. All the walls curve around you, but you can't seem to tell which way.

To your right you can hear a faint, continuous whirring noise, and on the left the hall seems to go on into blackness -or maybe a corner- you can't tell.

In both directions there will be junctions, and you somehow know you could get lost very easily here.

A sudden gust of wind blows from the left.

You blink as it passes by, and you get the uneasy feeling you just missed something.
