I don't know how I'm going to do it, but I need to make a plan.
I can look around my room here, although I've combed it all over before. Maybe I can wait for a nurse to come by and get some information, or try to get out and talk to one of my friends.

What about the layout of the facility? How well do you know it?

Why don't you look around your room while you wait for a nurse to come by. How would you talk to your friends, are you able to sneak out of your room already? Do they want to leave too?

Do you think you could overpower a nurse? Whats keeping you here? Are the doors locked, guarded, need a keycard?

They call me 011, but my friends call me Molly. Sometimes I write it like M011y, because thats kind of cool.
And I didn't do anything to get send in here, if that's what you mean. I'm in here because I'm a faerie, and they want to experiment. Simple.

>>Are the wings normal for you, or the result of experiments?

My wings used to be normal, but...let's just say I tend to be 'uncooperative' with the staff here.

Uh...my dresser?
This is about all I know of the place. I have to go to the dining hall for meals once a day, and I could try the nurse's station to get permission to go to the common area for good behavior. I would see other people in both places.

I KNOW I could overpower a nurse. If I even flash my teeth they'd back off.
Problem is, there's a shitton of them, and the station is right outside my room. The doors are all keycard locked, and as an added bonus, I can't touch the metal with my bare hands. Faerie perks.

>>Check the drawers and prepare yourself. We'd like a list of your skills and abilities.

There are only 'approved items' in my drawers, which is to say jack shit. More stupid hospital robes and a couple towels.
As for skills, I know I have a high pain tolerance. Anything else is kind of up in the air; you'd have to be more specific.

>>what's your daily schedule? If we know your routine we could plan to make an escape when security is the lowest.

I know about as much about that as I do the floor plan. I know I eat once a day at the dining hall, if I've behaved, but there are no clocks in here, so I don't know when it is.

Could you, for instance, wrap towels around your hands and pull the bars out of the wall? Or go invisible to steal a keycard?

I know they have a ton of surgical equipment in here, and sometimes I see guards with tasers, but no guns. I don't think they want to damage the test subjects.
The Lab is run by the government, but it's pretty remote--I don't know if it's a secret or not, and I've been in here too long to know the social status of fae. I know creatures generally aren't treated kindly, but that's it.

>>Can you do any faerie magic?

Flying is out of the question. I was shit at it before my wings got shredded, and now they can't support my weight. There's only one faerie here who can still fly, I think. I could fly with magic, maybe, but that's also out of the question right now.

I only possess basic magical ability in the Lab: I can heal minor wounds, communicate telepathically with other creatures close by, use glamour to conceal my faerie features, and move small objects short distances without touching them.
Those are the only things I know I can do for a fact, trying anything else is a risk.
In addition, I have a weakness to most metals, especially iron.

I haven't had much of a chance to test it, but I know I'm stronger and faster than the average human adult by my interactions with the nurses. It usually takes four or five of them, with drugs, to restrain me on a bad day.

I could try the towels for sure. I can still feel the metal, but it's a dull burn as opposed to searing pain, so it's tolerable.

I hit the intercom button and scramble over to my bed, stuffing the halves of the towel underneath.

"Sorry! I, uh, ripped a bedsheet on accident. It's not a big deal, geeze."
My heart is pounding, but it's best not to be too nice; I haven't been in the past, and it might make them suspicious.

There is a long pause before the intercom buzzes again.

INTERCOM: We will send someone to collect it.

Okay. So I actually have to rip my sheet before they get here, which should be easy enough, and then do whatever else I want. I don't know how much time I have to prepare, either, so I'd better move fast.

NO.

As of right now, I have the keycard tucked into the waistband of my underwear, so that it sits against my hip. It is doubtful that the nurses will search me and find it.
I also have the flimsy hospital gown, which I am wearing.

In my room, there is a bed (now sheetless), whole towels, a ripped towel, a dresser, and a small endtable.

I have time to do something before the nurses come to take me for dinner, or I can just wait.

Ok, well now I'm imagining her pulling someones blood out from underneath their skin or their eyeballs out of the sockets.

About your telekinetic and telepathic limits... are you only be able to move things/communicate with people in your line of sight?

Is size the only factor or is it harder to lift small but heavy things? About how long can you hover something for before needing to put it down?

Going to dinner would probably give you better opportunity to slip away, unless you think the nurse will get her clearance pulled before they take you to the cafeteria, disabling your keycard. In that case... I dunno, ask to use the bathroom and you can try to loose your guard there? Assuming theres only a keycard reader on the outside of your door.

This should be helpful for holding things, and will let me smuggle the towel scrap to touch metal.

>What are the limitations of your telekinesis?

In this environment, I can only move small objects short distances. I usually have to be close enough to the object to see it, and the heavier it is the the harder it is to move. I don't think I could move anything over a couple of pounds right now, so people are out.

Moving someones brain or doing weird stuff with their blood sounds too complicated for me.

He would definitely be good to have around. Not only can he fly, but he has different magical abilities than I do, including a sophisticated glamour, and he has pretty good knowledge of the facility.
I think.

>I don't think he wants to risk leaving. So who else comes by here?

The only other faerie here is Sam, who should be here soon. Still, I don't want to just abandon Daniel.

I glance over at him, grinning.
"I'm bustin' out."

His eyes widen, and he shushes me.
A moment later, I can hear his voice in my head.

Not so loud!! How are you getting out?!

The humans definitely can't hear us telepathically, but we can't make it obvious we're talking, so I look away.

I stole Juli's keycard, and I have some towels so I can touch the doors. Dunno if they'll deactivate it, but I have it. I'm heading out tonight. You want in?

Daniel is quiet for a moment before i hear his voice again.

Julianna left for a few days break after yelling about how you wrecked your sheets. We have time. But the sooner the better. Can...would you really take me with?

"H-hey, guys. Sorry I'm late--testing."

I eye the bruises on the inside of his elbow and suppress a shudder.
"Ouch."

He half laughs, rubbing at it.
"Yeah, not fun. What'd I miss?"

I hesitate once again, feeling Daniel looking at me.
I know he won't tell Sam my plan if I don't, but it feels kind of shitty not to.

I definitely trust Sam, even if he is a bit worn out right now, so I fill him in as he sits down.

You in?

Sam smiles.
Of course I am.

The three of us talk for a while, and I think we're starting to nail out some basics of a plan.
If I get out tonight, I can get the two of them out when guard traffic is low, and we can make a break for it.

Daniel knows the guard shifts, and he can figure out when it's best for us to leave. He also knows the layout of the facility, can construct more sophisticated glamours, and can fly.
However, he is very timid, and mostly nonverbal. That could be bad if we run into anyone.

Sam, unlike myself and Daniel, is actually on good standing with some of the guards, so if we get caught he may be able to talk us out of it. In addition, he has mild persuasive magic, meaning he can nudge someone to a decision if they are on the fence. He is knowledgeable about technology, and is likable.
However, Sam is currently tired, and can be overconfident in his skills. He may be unable to perform a task when we need him to.

As for myself, I have the most brute force of our group, and can heal minor wounds. I currently possess a keycard and towels, which will allow me to open doors without problem.
I am on pretty bad standing with the guards, though. If they see me as I am, it could get bad.

All three of us can communicate telepathically and construct basic glamour, but are weak to metal.

Do we need to make a more sophisticated plan or kick someone out of the group? Daniel or Sam wouldn't be happy about it, but...

Sam and I can only use basic glamour, hiding our wings and making our eyes and ears look like a humans.
Daniel can change our features, but any big changes will sap his energy pretty quickly. Invisibility for three beings would be pretty hard: the less he has to change the better.

I think about giving the keycard to Daniel, but decide against it. He is pretty timid, and I don't know how I could pass it over without anyone noticing.

Daniel says that the number of guards and nurses greatly diminishes after lights-out, so a few minutes after our rooms go dark should be a good time to get out.
He adds that there's a supply closet right outside of our wing, and that he can glamour us up in there if he wants. We may be able to change clothes, too--but we might run into someone.

Sam doesn't like the idea of stopping, mumbling that we should just make a break for it and glamour on the way. The sooner we get going, the better.

I hesitate, mulling it over. We need to figure out what to do now, so that later we aren't standing in the hall like a bunch of morons.
I think this is the last chance we'll have to talk before we go back to our rooms, so we have to decide fast.
>>
No. 716304 ID: b17b81

Do you all know staff with the same builds as you? I think ducking into the closet, swapping clothes (having pockets will be a great improvement. you might even be able to grab a set of gloves so you can touch stuff without it being obvious to anyone watching), then glamor-ing it up to look like some specific staff members.
To get clothes you could have Daniel completely glamour himself solo and have him go to the nurses station to get a full set for all of you.

That sounds like a good idea.
Daniel doesn't like the idea of going alone, but we're out of time to discuss other options: the nurses are here to usher us back to our rooms.

I sit down on my bed to think.

Right now, I have Julianna's keycard and towels to touch metal.

Daniel has confirmed that Julianna took a few days off, so her keycard will not be noticed missing for a while. He knows that the guards will decrease significantly after lights-out, which is probably when I should leave.

Sam and Daniel are accompanying me, so the first thing I need to do is bust them out. From there, Sam and I need to find a place to hide while Daniel goes to storage to get us scrubs and gloves, if he can.
Daniel did not want to go alone to the storage room, but we didn't discuss other options, so that's the current plan.

Is there anything I should do in my room, or should I wait until lights out?

Might as well go with the everyone hide-in-the-supply-closet plan. Once you get out of your room I doubt youd want to go back in. I decide to go grab them both and head to the supply closet, and open the door slowly.

It's darker in the hall, too, the lights dimmed due to the late hour. Daniel was right: the nurse's station is deserted. So much for hard workers.

>Bite some throats out!

Honestly, I don't have a problem killing humans. I know that I can, and if I have to, I will. I don't know where Daniel and Sam stand on it, though.

Sam's room is right next door, with Daniel's next to that. They had to renumber the rooms after we started dying.

No blaring alarms. Normally that would be a good thing in any stealth game, but this is a scientific institution. They're going to have smart security, guards capable of keeping up with the constant technobabble and able to understand what will work against the test subjects.

They'll also deploy traps for this situation.

You need to act fast, they might be sending specific stealth teams to knock you out. Open both doors from the control console and turn off anything important.

Seems we don't need to separate then, looks like there are spare scrubs on the shelf. Everyone gown up and put on a set of those gloves. See if they are enough to touch the sink handles without heavy pain. You can double or triple up on them, but any more would be noticeable and maybe impact your dexterity. Everyone has pockets now too, right? (after gowning up)

Pop open the first aid kit and see what goodies are in there. What are in the open/closed boxes on the shelf?

We *could* rig up some water in a glove to take with us.(tie it in a knot so it stays closed) Not sure if it's worth carrying some around though, it depends on how far of a trek we have to go before we can rest again.

You have any clue which way the exit is?(towards the labs or the other wings)

I grab a set of scrubs, as do Daniel and Sam.

I have to roll up the sleeves and the bottom of the shirt for it to fit right, considering I'm pretty small, but I manage.
I don some of those stupid latex gloves, too. They're itchy, but they should help with the metal.

Sam goes to look through the first aid kit, and Daniel and I take the boxes on the shelves. One is full of empty syringes, which would be great if we had needles.

Daniel unearths a surgical mask, tying it on.
"It's probably better to cover our faces, right?"

He's right, but I really don't want to.
I glance at the sink, and pause.
The faucet is on. That could mean someone's coming back here.
We have to move fast.

> Masks
Too conspicuous. If you put too much high-profile camouflage on, you're just drawing attention. Still, keep some for extra disguise options.

Some of the best disguises are as thin as paper but are so vivid that eyewitnesses will focus specifically on these glaring traits which have absolutely no physical or mental connection to the actual user, allowing them to make one-time interactions that will completely throw the identity trail off.

Here's an idea: if you need a quick glamour, try combining the features of multiple staff members, preferably those that group together often. Veterans may mistake your mix-and-match as colleagues trying out each others' makeup tips.
>>
No. 722683 ID: b17b81

>better to cover our faces
Way too noticable. Especially since you are planning to glamour yourselves to look like others anyways. Daniel takes the brunt of the glamors (hair, skin if necessary for the person he is gonna disguise as, and facial features towards the people you are all supposed to look like) while you and Sam pick up the wings, eyes, and your own teeth if you need to speak.
