Well, the shove's eyes stopped glowing and the skull's eyes started, so we're in the skull now. You traded the talking shovel for a regular shovel and a talking skull! Improvement?

Giving the skull a good crack over the head made it's eye's glow brighter Spade was then given the traditional greeting of the undead "FLESH"

It then proceeded to politely rip her clothes of as it attempted to devour her.

The young gnoll would then give the beast the common gnoll response of "Eeeeeeeeh!"

The wraith would eye the gnoll as she took in the news her lord was dead..while normally this would be good news considering she could sell her soul to another demon it had appeared that a new demon lord had inherited her soul "By the abyss it can't be h-how could it be!" she would gasp upon hearing who now owned her soul.

Banging the shovel against a rock the gnoll would sit down for a moment as she took the news in...

Meanwhile in the abyss Spades new master and the new deomonlord of the burning abyss dances on his throne. The little imp had snatched his former lords scepter of power as he lay dying forcing the other demon's to bow to the new lord of Death, Chaos, and award social situations.

Spades covered her face in raw embarrassment she had sold her soul to the last demon lord for a shovel and bragging rights that he was one of the most powerful demon lords in the abyss. Now the thought of this small imp being able to command her was horrifying.

"B-but I don't want to dance!" she would whimper much to the undeads confusion.
>>
No. 744666 ID: ba506f

well... I mean it's not like he even knows who you are? I mean he's never met you so he probably doesn't even know who's soul he's got. Plus their's not much you can do about it anyways. I say just go back and do what you were originally here for and stop worrying about this. Unless you were doing something your old lord wanted you to do, if that's the case then lets say fuck it and go home. I'm sure the imp will get slaughtered before the week is out and things will be back to normal.
>>
No. 744675 ID: 7a0fae

This is not good. You're a prime test subject for Stubby McStabface. He might not get much downtime but if he's as petty as he looks, he might start off his short reign of chaos with his boss' suckers.

Maybe you can do something with the shovel. What powers does it have, anyway?
>>
No. 744678 ID: dfdb1e

Come on... It's not every day that this sort of debauchery happen. We may as well enjoy for the short period it will last.
Beside, the way I see this is a great opportunity to gain some favor. As a new ruler the Dark Lord will need help cementing his power and securing his position. At the same time, many pretender will see this as their chance to lead the lord of the abyss to his demise and take his place. Either side would be smart to recruit our help.
Whatever we decide to do, it's important to not assume this master to be incompetent. The only reason we have to do so is the stereotype of imps, but for all we know he could be extremely clever.

...not that selling your soul for a shovel is worth bragging about. You know Faust sold his for unlimited knowledge and worldly pleasures, right?
>>

Enough with the self-pity, you're a gnoll with a sentient artifact for god's sake. This is a threat, but also the opportunity of a lifetime. Play your cards right, and who knows how far you'll go.

In the short term, your first priority should be to gather information. This zombie seems to know something about the underworld. Ask him about the scepter, specifically find out how hard it would be to raise a rebel army.
