The goal was to prevent Laura from and Dreamwalker from dying. we accomplished that goal. so to answer your question: yes.

Now if you're asking whether we are happy or not, not really, because we were not able to save everyone's life in this battle (Felafaf, Flint, some of those ghosts, etc). Not only we couldn't save them, we were even forced to hurt them, making me wonder if we did more harm than good. I just wish I could have figured out some better way through that conflict.

But at this point, It's alright. I don't think we are expecting any kind of happiness from our journey anymore. But whatever.

Now then, This battle left things unanswered (such as what this battlefield really was, who those two invisible people were which were with Karikatura Fortune Ana (>>878836) and other sort of secrets we could have missed.)
That said, I would like to use the mirror curator totem to see what important hidden things we may have missed during the battle, please. Besides, we used the shrimp mother totem a couple of time, so it is time to give the mirror totem a shot in the spotlight.

oh, but first, we won't be able to bring Dervan's business card with us, so perhaps you should keep it for yourself. It's probably what Dervan would want anyway. *hands the business card over to the spirit*

inner thoughts: Guess he didn't want Dervan's business card. Doesn't matter.
inner thoughts: Time for a bit of cleanup before we leave. Can't have people taking things I can't take with me

*she next picks up her tarot wand, and casts a fire spell on her chariot and sets her chariot on fire*

I see. Well I can't stop you. But just know that as Dervan said, we didn't really mean what we said about you imitating human emotions. We only wanted you to get off that throne. Really, it was either us or Essence, a kill or be killed situation.

shut the hell up. You swore to kill off the spirit parasites and now you're bargaining with one?

Why the hell would anyone want to be human anyway?

Most humans i've seen around here are only in it for themselves. You took some random man's fingers, I don't even know how you lost them in the first place. I somehow get the feeling it was your own fault though.

So congratulations, you've failed at even trying not show how human you are by doing a human action.

You're angry? Good, so am I. I am angry that your sister was too dumb to know when to stop. I'm angry that we couldn't agree on anything. I'm angry that you're imitating her because she's all you've ever known. I'm angry that you're making the same mistakes she did and that I did. That blood leads to more blood, and murder leads to more murder.

And we're all to fucking human to stop.

he could put his feet on the chair so his legs are not dangling like that, then drop the grenade under the chair so that the chair works as a crude makeshift barrier between him and the explosion after he drops it. It most likely won't free him from all injuries, and the loud sound of the explosion might leave him deaf, but at least it might raise his chance of survival. Worth a shot.

Either that, since his legs are free, he could kind of sort of stand and bend forward a little, taking the chair up with him on his back and attempt to move towards you and kamikaze himself at you I guess (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UEajhyHhqSU)

I think I'll let Scarred choose between those two options unless she has a better idea.

That said, I wonder if he has any family members or best friends who might want "justice" or "vengeance" against you for his kidnapping, torture, and possible death against your blinding anger?
>>
No. 928772 ID: a88088

Personally i prefer the first choice of using the chair as a barricade, but lets see what my partner says.
>>
No. 928808 ID: 30f295

>>928767
Yeah that would be the first one would be the best option.

Except

I have a suspicion this is all a bluff. The average grenade actually has less material than a standard stick of TNT, only about 2oz of material, but it is capable of more explosive power. Plus there’s the issue of shrapnel, and depending on what that chair is made of, the hostage will probably end up losing their hands and their legs if they don’t immediately die. But the part I can’t wrap my head around, is why is she sticking around? She’s already stated that the blast could kill her if he just drops it, and the confirmed kill radius for a grenade is 5 meters, and with the casualty radius being around 15 and she is more than close enough for it to do the job, she’s not getting away unscathed. Boy, wouldn’t it just be so ironic to start to run only to have your new fingers blown away by shrapnel?

So she is either bluffing to be cruel for whatever reason, I wouldn’t put it past her. Or, she really is stupid enough to have created a death trap for herself. I may not be good when it comes to social things, but on the topic of weapons and killing, I know more than my fair share.

So she can either realize that she’s made a very large error and put the pin back in the grenade, because once he lets go of the lock that will trigger the detonation, both of them have about 3 seconds.
>>

>>928808
interesting. In any case, I still choose option 1 because if it isn't a bluff, that would be the only action I can think of that can give him even a tiny chance of survival.
Also, the blast might not effect Spirit contaminator as I think she can regenerate. She did say she tried to tear off the spirit parasite part of her head, only for them to grow back.
But then again, she is weak against fire sooo...

I also wonder, didn't Essence say that Happy specifically told her not to kill anybody that isn't immortal or something? I wonder if that order applies to Blizulia as well. But it might not matter if Spirit Contaminator is suicidal, or if this man is immortal in some way to give her the okay to kill him. I think I remember explosions is one of the few ways to kill someone who became immortal through the ash tree?

ehhhh, I'm rambling and wasting time. You already know my choice, Blizulia.

So you’re not stupid, you’re just suicidal.

I have a question for you. What kind of place is the world that your sister told you about?
>>
No. 928900 ID: e51896

Hummm... No. I'm not going to give him advice anymore because I don't think he is going to listen to a single word we'll say... only because we are not directly communicating with him, but instead you are the one relaying the messages we say to him. You did mention that he is unaware of everything that is happening around him after all, so he might think you are still a cosplayer, but with mental health issues who hears dumb voices that don't exist in her head trying to talk to him (no offense to you or us), while he does not realize us voices do in fact exist trying to speak to him.

That said unless we can directly communicate with him, he isn't going to listen to a single advice we say if you're the one relaying what we say to him. Perhaps if we had my totem, I can speak directly to him, but I don't want to rely too much on magic anymore to solve all our problems. We've been getting by pretty far on our wits alone without using strange powers as a handicap, much like the long fight we just had

No, I think if we want to save him at this point, we'll have to take a different approach and attempt to instead persuade you to let him go instead through negotiating.

>>928887
Scarred, I'm not going to jump to conclusions on what she is (like being suicidal). nobody can really truly 100% comprehend the perspective of another person, really.

ok, Blizulia. I'll start by asking this: you say that you are doing these horrible things to this gardener to show you never want to be like us, nor want to be. But don't you find it a little ironic that with you relaying our advice we are trying to give to him, wouldn't that mean in a way, you are in a sense, posing as us giving advice to him as a voice like us? Just something for you to think about.

But that's beside the point though, what I really wanted to ask is, is this true anger you are feeling, or is the anger you are feeling actually hiding how you really feel with your anger acting as a mask.
I'm not accusing that you are imitating emotions again, I'm just saying that people, like Scarred (big example here) tend to hide their weaknesses, sadness, misery, or fear with intense anger to cope with the reality of the situation they are dealt with. a lot of times, we don't even realize we use anger as a mask to hide our emotions. I'm sure you sensed it when Scarred was screaming at you.
(Sidenote, letting out your true emotions instead of hiding it under a masked emotion is sometimes stronger)

I only ask if what you are feeling is true anger because if you were truly angry at us, I would think that you would of kidnapped someone who we actually knew first hand in this timeline, like a true friend or ally to torture, just to stick it to us as revenge and prove a point... but instead, you chose an innocent bystander who was just minding his own business, probably just trying to get by in the miserable hellhole our world has become. I wonder why you chose him?

Also, I'm not going to assume you are depressed, and hiding your depression with anger, but the way you are laying there, waiting for the bomb to explode in some fashion if he drops it... it reminds me of Ana when we were defusing a bomb, when she was laying right next to 1993 when she felt so defeated after boxhead, one of her only friends at the time, betrayed and left her... just awaiting for the bomb to explode and for the release of death. Seeing you do that makes me sad in some way. But.. I wonder, how will Happy feel if you die from this explosion? Doesn't he see you as one of his daughters? he just lost Essence, and now he's going to lose you too? I know you said you don't care about what happens to yourself, but doesn't Happy and your other friends care about you? More importantly, do you care about them?

Precisely why I asked her what the world is.

According to people like Essence, the world is a cruel place and you must be cruel to survive in it. In my experience the world, and by extension people, are like a sewer, what you put into it is exactly what you’ll get out of it.

It’s a humorous analogy, but it’s true. The world is only as cruel as you let it be, if you put cruelty into the world you will get it back in trumps. It’s why in the end I had more pity for Essence. She never saw her own logical fallacies, if you are cruel and viscous thst will just continue the cycle and the world can never heal because cruel people won’t let it heal. She claims we didn’t have what it took to survive in the world, and in a way she was true, but people don’t want to survive, people want to live. People who reject the mentality of kill or be killed are the stronger ones because they have the courage to reject the way the status quo.

So how strong are you?

Does he truly need help from us, or is that you need help from us? Because you are now looking desperate to see how we do stuff.

In any case, enough fooling around. I realize the gloves he is wearing looks to be too big for him and are pretty loose. Depending on how tight you tied the bomb on his glove on his arm, and if he is very careful, he should be able to sort of slip his hand out of the glove while holding the bomb and glove at the same time, and then just throw the bomb and glove away, at least as far as he is allowed to throw it with his wrist tied to the chair. His glove looks loose enough to slip his hand out of without using his other arm to remove it.

This again depends on how tight the bomb is tied to his glove and wrist to even remove his glove, and this also depends if he is willing to listen to a single word you say, Blizulia. Like I said, after the way you treated him, he will most likely not listen to any advice you give him... Unless you probably say something like "Oh crap, I hope you don't realize the gloves you are wearing are loose enough to remove without using your other arm for help, and just throw the glove with the bomb away from you. I totally forgot your gloves are too big for you to slip out of. Shit." or something similar.

And what made you think I'm being driven mad? I'm just throwing out ideas to see what works.

You honestly think so highly of us? I’ll chose to take all of that as a compliment.

And as for the whole thing about doing the impossible, we just do our best with what we’re given. Personally, I consider how we ended that fight a failure to do what I really wanted, which was keep her from Essence from hurting herself or others, but I didn’t want to kill her, the same way I don’t want you to die either.

With this scenario you’ve given us, you have all the power here and you know it. All we can do it talk with you, because your life does have value and if Essence was the sister you considered her as, she would... well honestly she would think it’s hilarious at first and then find some way stop you, probably while also calling you stupid for trying.

You’re the only one who can put the grenade away, I’m trying to convince you to stop this because that’s how we all win. In fact fuck it, I don’t care about winning what I care about is doing the right thing, because believe it or not Blizulia, I loved your sister, and I don’t want you to die too.

We’ll do what we can, but you’re the one who can fix this better than we can.

>>929022
That would work but aren’t his arms also tied to the chair? Actually if he can slip out of the glove on his right hand he can work on getting his other hand out and he can throw the other glove that has the grenade attached to it.

And grenades won't explode until you let the trigger go, pulling the pin is like flipping the safety on a gun but instead of keeping the trigger from being pulled the pin keeps it in place from setting off the detonation. if he lets it go, then comes the ka-boom.
