Yes... yes, that works very well. You wouldn't have a jacket like that in teal like 3, would you Alice?

Since your body grows everytime you eat something, try not to wear anything that's too tight. Unless you want your clothes to burst off of you during a growth spurt and leave you completely naked!

Make sure you wear something that's loose and has plenty of room for you to grow, without any risk of destroying your clothing.

The slinky black dress is actually weirdly humanifying - in a very good way. That's what I would go with.

It signals "I am a person," very strongly.

It's not like they're sending her to an all you can eat buffet... unless that's part of the test.

>That dress is perfect. Never dress less than your best for success, Alice. Shows off plenty of leg and won't get caught on sharp corners and tear, and if there's anything the lab taught you, you should live every day like it's your last.
Good, good. What's with all this concern about clothing damage though?

Alice has quite a bit of time left.
Alice is tired.
Alice is very stressed.

Alice has picked something to wear.
Alice's hair is a mess.

This is a great idea, this is how you come to terms with the changes in your life. You dust yourself, pick yourself up, and get back out there.

The shape of your world may have changed, but that doesn't mean you aren't a person anymore. Just relax, you are going to spend an hour getting to know someone, there's no pressure here.

Ok, let's fix some of these issues:

-De-stress by turning on some smooth jazz. That's never fails to melt stress away. Alternatively, have a "jazz cigarette."
-Start combing and brushing your hair. Try to make it look like it flows from top to bottom. For inspiration, I suggest opening the nearest women's magazine.
>>
No. 939004 ID: ad51b8

So is your hair still just hair or do you have some control over it? Because might as well find a hair style now so you know how you want to put it once your ready to go. So I say find a hair style you like just to knock it out of the way and maybe go and take a little nap to de-stress and rest up.

Though I do have to ask, has the fruit been filling you up at all or no? While probably not a good idea to gorge yourself right now incase this turns out to be a diner date you still have some time before the thing even starts so if you can find some food that is actually filling you could probably make yourself a snack before taking a nap?

The dye has only managed to correctly colour of the tips of Alice's hair and stained most of it this intriguingly bad olive colour. Meaning it's a mistake, a horrible mistake.

>So is your hair still just hair or do you have some control over it?
Alice has some control over all of her body, she's just not very good at it. Let's revise that to "not very much control".

>>test
>..huh. can you say more about this please?
You know, a test? A process to determine what someone can reliably do? For example, going on a date with nothing going terribly wrong! You wouldn't think it'd be that difficult!

>Frosted watermelon tips, nice. You are what you eat, they say, and Alice is definitely... a person.
A date is about getting to know someone, not eating them out! Alice is trying to put the whole sophont cannibalism thing behind her.

>The shape of your world may have changed, but that doesn't mean you aren't a person anymore. Just relax, you are going to spend an hour getting to know someone, there's no pressure here.

It can't hurt to find out!!

Haha no, if she eats the right thing it'll stop right???

>Do you have any meat in here? eat meat if possible.
Yes, good plan. She hasn't eaten any for a while she has plenty.

>Don't get your clothes dirty though.
Yes, yes. That's why she has to eat all of it.

hopefully the meat helps but just to be safe maybe take off your date clothes until you're ready to go on the date so you don't have to worry about them getting messy.

As for nap or show? why not find something to fall asleep to? Something good enough to entertain you but not capture your full attention... like reruns or something. Either you get caught up watching the show and enjoy yourself, or it will become background noise to hopefully help lull you to sleep.

Alice! Calm down! You're losing control because you're looking at meat again! Turn away for a moment, it's not going anywhere. Seriously, you're drooling.

First change out of the fancy clothes into something expendable. You're certain to get splatter on whatever you wear.
Now that you've calmed down a little, why is it exactly that you've been avoiding meat? Is that reason still relevant today? If it is this might be a bad idea. Be honest with yourself here.
Two ways this could go; The meat satisfies your hunger or it Makes Things Worse. In your experience, which is usually the case?

Also, we have to remember not to go to a place that serves meat. This behavior is acceptable only when alone. If a vegetarian place can't be arranged, don't order meat and if the date wants to order meat, you'll have to ask them not to.
Meat makes you lose control, and losing control is really really bad, especially in front of other people.

One last thing. You mentioned a They, when you talked about the test. Who are They, exactly? Who's sending you to the test?

>The dye has only managed to correctly colour of the tips of Alice's hair and stained most of it this intriguingly bad olive colour. Meaning it's a mistake, a horrible mistake.
Look, if you don't like it that's fine, but if it's about whether it looks good to others or not, then judge it by our reactions: we're all saying it looks good on you. Again, if it's just that it goes against your personal preference then let's see about changing it, but otherwise don't bother, you're fine.

>>941439
>Haha no, if she eats the right thing it'll stop right???
Sorry, no. You have a medical condition now and the hunger won't ever go away. You'll have to learn to cope with it.
And seriously, people, stop suggesting eating food, especially meat, unless you're purposefully trying to sabotage the date. She's an addict and you're enabling her.

Re-reading the logs, seems like the urge to eat is getting stronger as you eat more and you stop thinking clearly after eating. This is especially true when you're low on mass. How much mass are you at right now?

In any case, this meat is fucking with your head. Get it together! You're doing that thing where you've decided you need to eat and you're trying to justify it however you can. That is not how rational thought works. That is the opposite of how rational thought works.

hopefully you'll have enough time before the date for the urges to go away.

And definitely change clothes first. Remember, you're very likely to throw up everywhere after eating.

You are not alowed to eat all of the meat. You may have a single quarter-steak and then you have to wait, at least ten minutes, to see if it actually satiated you or if it is just an endless craving. This is SCIENCE! people. We need to conduct with proper testing discipline.

>>
No. 941623 ID: 151656

>>941618
Nope, eating addiction is something that actually exists and doesn't apply to everyone; just being dependent, or even enjoying it, isn't enough. The main difference, and the one that's most important right now, is compulsive behavior and lack of control.
Alice can't control herself when it comes to eating, and every time one of you suggests that she should eat something, she will take the excuse to eat.

>the addiction seems to go away after a while.
It doesn't, not for her. Read the previous chapters again, her compulsion to eat actually gets worse the more she eats.

>Alice! Calm down! You're losing control because you're looking at meat again! Turn away for a moment, it's not going anywhere. Seriously, you're drooling.
Look she's just been drooling more lately it's fine. She briefly turns away because she knows it's never going to escape. Escape is not possible.

>First change out of the fancy clothes into something expendable. You're certain to get splatter on whatever you wear.
Fine, she'll make sure her dress is safely out of the way!

>You're doing that thing where you've decided you need to eat and you're trying to justify it however you can. That is not how rational thought works. That is the opposite of how rational thought works.
If Alice was being so irrational, she'd have kept her dress on!

>Now that you've calmed down a little, why is it exactly that you've been avoiding meat? Is that reason still relevant today? If it is this might be a bad idea. Be honest with yourself here.
It was the plan? When she was hurt and hungry. So it would looking convincing.

>Two ways this could go; The meat satisfies your hunger or it Makes Things Worse. In your experience, which is usually the case?
That's ridiculous, if you don't eat you die. Alice is going to die if she doesn't eat!

>You are not allowed to eat all of the meat. You may have a single quarter-steak and then you have to wait
>Alice, Eat one (1) chunk. not everything. ONE.
Fine, she'll leave one piece. She doesn't have a problem and this proves it!

Alice messily devours most of the plate's contents.

>Remember, you're very likely to throw up everywhere after eating.
Alice is fine, and her dress is fine despite Alice tending to leave a mess! She hasn't been vomiting slime at all lately.

>Set an alarm, then watch a show!
Alice switches on the television and sprawls out on the couch to make herself comfortable.

>Is the history channel still convinced aliens are real?
What? Of course they're real. The Antarctic ruins leave no doubt of pre-human colonisation.

>Go watch a nice clean Messenger-approved anime.
Alice isn't a nerd.

>Sit somewhere and meditate.
Sounds awful. Alice has better things to do than think about how everything is slowly rotting.

>One last thing. You mentioned a They, when you talked about the test. Who are They, exactly? Who's sending you to the test?
You know, the people keeping her here? She's here for Alice's own good.

It'll be great, once she's out of this place. Or her date comes here? Maybe they're someone she knows! ... And then the trick is to make sure that they don't die! Or that she dies instead? No, that can't be right.

>Look for the most watched show on the market, that way it may give you a shared interest with your date.
The most watched show seems to be Status Report, some sort of medical drama. Alice doesn't want to lie around watching scientists moaning about some lady (or someone's pet?) dying.

>As for nap or show? why not find something to fall asleep to? Something good enough to entertain you but not capture your full attention... like reruns or something. Either you get caught up watching the show and enjoy yourself, or it will become background noise to hopefully help lull you to sleep.
Alice just keeps channel surfing, bits and pieces of action and drama and exot ads? She lies in a lull feeling like she's just dreaming. It's good to unwind a bit, but she's starting to feel restless. She should up be running, or moving about. Or perhaps hiding.

>How much mass are you at right now?
Too low, too low, critically low!

Alice gets up and finishes the last piece of meat on the platter. What's the last things she should try to do?

Alice is running out of time.
Alice is mostly clean.
Alice is tired.
Alice is stressed.
Alice is still very hungry.
Alice has picked something to wear.
Alice's hair is a mess.

Ok, there's nothing wrong with that hair, it's a bit strange looking and that green is usually awful but the gradient you ended up with and your already strange hair work well together making it exotic instead of strange.

Just prepare yourself mentally. You're going to go outside, be around people, and talk about yourself. Talking should come easy, you have a plethora of grand adventure to draw on. Maybe practice a bit since vocalization isn't your strong suit. Avoid getting too drawn into your emotional state because that's what'll draw you into talking about the constant gnawing hunger and all the other things that'll make normies run.
