Has been up for a day or so and running stable, on mcpc+, and needs players to get things rolling.
It's a weird smorgasbord of techno and magic mods that I managed to get cooperating.

Server rules.. uh.. ask Dylan/don't be a dick.

Originally also had a few entity-adding mods and Ars Magica 2, but removed them. The former to cut down on memory usage a little, and the latter because other servers have had some questionable stability when using AM2.

IC2 experimental is in it because one of the people I was doing the pack for wanted nuclear reactors and junk, the UE reactors have been buggy ever since they were first made, and I'm not too happy with rotarycraft/reactorcraft atm.

The pack's here, http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/details/quantum-thaumaturgy.214318

You'll need to download the technic launcher and plug the platform url from that page into it via "add mod" on the mod slider in the launcher (left side).

If you don't like the technic launcher, get something like MultimMC 5 beta or magiclauncher, and use this for the mods/configs. You probably won't need the bin folder. Just make sure to install latest forge for 1.6.4.

Leave a message here or /msg midaychi on rizon IRC to report any bugs or give suggestions.
You're a 99% likelier to catch me on irc, tbh.
If you're reporting a bug, please pastebin or dropbox (or whatever) "output-client.log" and "ForgeModloader-client-x.log" (where 'x' is the number of the most recent file) for me. It will really make it easier for me to figure out what's going on.

The airship mod is robust and awesome.

I fiddled around with Salestax1's save to see if I could figure out what caused the crash. The error thrown involved the decorator for the terrain manager being interrupted by a request for a decoration during decoration phase. "java.lang.RuntimeException: Already decorating!!"

Idk what caused it. A slime island was the only weird terrain feature that I could see around where Salestax was exploring.

I'll set the server up to restart itself after a crash, I guess, incase this has to do with biomesop somehow.

>>25681
I caused it somehow? Hmmm. Part of my airship was made with some bloodwood, maybe that did something weird? I had nothing else unusual with me or my ship. Only not wood/balloon item on it was a single wooden chest.
>>
No. 25689 ID: eb27db

Kinda. It was you generating new chunks, though. I think either biomesOP and/or Mystcraft are causing it, and I think deleting the overworld and regenerating it with biomesOP's generator might fix the issue, but I don't wanna do that for obvious reasons aha. I guess I could have someone generate a stable mystcraft world, drag everything worth saving over there, and have them log off and let me copy their save .dat. I could then edit everyone's dat to the same dimension and coordinates, and delete/ regenerate the overworld with all the players being saved.
>>

Hey, I have an idea. We could store everyone's bases in Spacial Storage via AE, then reset all the chunks in the main world. BoP should in theory generate completely new biomes for us.

It's REALLY EXPENSIVE but hey, it's possible.
>>
No. 25701 ID: 7bbaae

>>25689
Oh right that's what you were already saying sortof. Except without the Spacial Storage.
>>
No. 25708 ID: eb27db

I have backups of the entire world and I can restore anything I have the coordinates of sorta. Havlock's right though. I kinda want to just wipe it and start with a new seed. The reason kelp forests/coral reefs are super rare now is kind of stupid: Mariculture hooks into the existing coral reef/kelp forest biomes that BimoesOP has instead of randomly spawning it around the ocean. That means that it'll be super rare because a kelp forest or coral reef biome from biomesop has to happen.
Any seed suggestions?
>>
No. 25709 ID: eb27db

Honestly tempted to remove mariculture due to the stuff it sometimes breaks or handles poorly, but I won't unless people complain about it.
>>
No. 25710 ID: 96b823

Could we get Mechworks added to the server's modpack? It's the spin-off mod from Tinkers' Construct that the drawbridge and some other things from TCon were moved into. It's going to be expanded to include a bunch of other stuff, eventually. For now I'd just like to get drawbridges back.
>>
No. 25711 ID: eb27db

Updated the pack a lot, added mechworks too. Reset the world completely. You guys had some cool awesome stuff but my bungling broke stuff too much. (though I *do* have backups of everything if you guys wanna revert :V)
Worked with Havlock to get a new seed. We'll see how it turns out.
Whee.
If you want me to reinstate your thaumcraft research, all I need is your fresh new player file and my handy nbt editor with these backups here.
>>
No. 25712 ID: eb27db

Which just involves you connecting and me being around to do it.
>>
No. 25713 ID: 7bbaae

If Mariculture doesn't spawn its stuff unless BoP is already spawning similar stuff, the worldgen may as well be removed. It has other modules though.

What stuff does it break?

equivilent exchange 3 seems to be very incomplete, the only useful thing it seems to add is the Minium Stone.
>>

>>25714
Yes, that is basically the entire mod last I heard. I didn't think it was even updated for 1.6.4 yet? I can't find any 1.6 version of "Jump Pads" either. It would be nice if the less well-known mods had links to their threads.

What is all this new tooltip bullshit in the modpack? It's kindof annoying to have every item give its item ID to me TWICE.
>>
No. 25716 ID: eb27db

Some update involving Wailia or NEI. Can't say I'm getting two id's, though.

Going through their options should let you disable it.
Not going to be modifying this modpack much anymore unless it's to update/fix things or add/remove mods that don't have a massive worldgen impact.

EE3 has been being updated recently without an official post and hopefully they're going to add useful things. I was going to add "equivalency", too, but currently the mod has problems with MCPC.

THIS. This is what I am talking about. EMC values show up too on some items now, which is also annoying.

There's no ingame options for waila and it's added redundant features twice now. I really hate it.
>>
No. 25719 ID: 7bbaae

>>25718
Ok I'm wrong about everything, the key for waila's options is numpad0, and waila isn't doing this, it's EE3.

Updated to fix above issue, coincidentally removing ee3 in the process. (it was worthless without that addon mod that doesn't work with mcpc+ anyways).

a specific player says that this server is TOO EASY and is not for TRUE MANLY MEN, so as a question:
Who would be for setting keepInventory rule to false, removing simple recycling, and adding twilight forest? You'd have to use charms for inventory keeping, and decon table for deconstructing.
Also maybe suggest other mods that involve DANGER and MANLY ADVENTURE?
Specific player just can't get their adventurin' on if it's easymode.

Here's a crash, produced by right-clicking Coal Ore to see recipes that use it:

>>25720
I'd be all for that. I was going to ask about adding Twilight Forest anyway.
>>
No. 25728 ID: eb27db

The crash is caused by mine factory reloaded 217; the author added a custom handler for a new shapeless recipe and nei didn't like it, but nei was reporting an error within nei because it overwrit base classes of nei.
Author says they'll fix it in the next update later today.
Two votes for TwiFor and no item keeping/recycling.
Also I went to talk to the maker of neiplugins about the liquid issue for recipes and they immediately told me just not to join a server hosted on a linux based os.
>>
No. 25729 ID: eb27db

Twilight forest is in, simple recycling is out, mfr is downgraded for now, open blocks is updated.
I don't think I'll be adding/removing mods unless something breaks or updates meaningfully or someone really wants me to try to get a specific mod working. Sorry for deleting the last world, but this one should stay pretty well.

Also:

You can type "/kits death" once every 12 hours to get a free keep III charm. Use it well.
>>
No. 25730 ID: eb27db

I lied. *now* I'm done with the random mods.
Added MCA because I forgot to in the last update.
>>
No. 25731 ID: a36601

>>25729
Whoa Whoa Whoa, we had simple recycling? I would have used that on so many things. How would you even do that? Though I'm fine with removing it, losing items on death, and adding the twilight forest.

The Uncrafting Table can serve the same purpose. It just costs exp instead of fuel.

The server isn't even around anymore!

FYI a spambot bumped the thread, that's why it's on top.
