So, I've been thinking about how the majority of /tg/ doesn't utilize tgchan / quest.lv here. Which is a shame, because alot of stuff that DOES relate to the board can be talked about and posted here, even if it breaks the 'worksafe' rules of standard /tg/. Also, various things could be done in a more organized and paced manner here, without the need for a bump every 4 hours.

So, fa/tg/uys and ca/tg/irls who haven't come this way til now, why not? Resident posters who have been here forever, anything you'd like to say to new folk coming in?

Where does everyone want to see things go for /tg/ and tgchan?

>It is sad when Gaia Online has better administration and community than /tg/.
>(bullshit, just look at any RPG-related forum but he seems to belive that)

The reason for this is simple. Those boards attach EVERY POST to an account. So when somebody is being a giant faggot repeatedly
they get their asses banned.

You want anonymous posting? You take the shit that comes with it.

Hang on, last time I popped into /tg/, which was half a year ago now at least, it was in the middle of a shitstorm over an overzealous janitor, who was subsequently removed/replaced/something. Is this a completely separate shitstorm in a chain of shitstorms over completely different overzealous janitors, or is this the continuation of the same massive tropical cyclonic shitstorm?

It's gone now. Which makes sense, because this is about the time the Janitor normally gets on. The Janitor's not one to let a thread that people are enjoying stay on the board just because it's not /tg/ related.

Honestly? I don't really see what tgchan has to offer. You guys have a lot less traffic here. Shit, there are threads here that are nearly a year old. A fucking YEAR. You move very, very slowly.

Although I may start coming here from now on. The /tg/ janitor and his hatred of all things chitiny and scaly (balanced out by his love of people posting links to /b/ that have fuck all to do with /tg/) grows wearisome, and damn it, if I'm going to write thri-kreen fapfics or whatever I want to be able to post them without getting banned.

So hello, tgchan. I guess I'm going to be hanging out here for a while.

Well this place is and has mostly been a spot for quests to run unhindered, but the other boards have become more and more used over time.

So welcome, I guess.

Welcome.

Look out for tiny deers runnning around, we don't like them being stepped on (although spraying fluids on them is awwright).

Make sure you check the quest wiki in case you are looking for something to read through if you have too much time.

Feel free to spread paranoia and conspiracy theories in the discussion threads. Depending on the related quests, staniol caps will be handed out at the entrance.

Apart from that, we have a nice theater with regular drama shows and some famous actors appear on stage every night. Drama queens and drag queens abound.

If that's not your thing, join the IRC and be ready to watch some draw-magicks unfold, at least whenever our good draw-fags happen to be in a good mood and feel like streaming/paint-chatting.

Ah, well, all in all, welcome to tgchan.

Could be something to do without how they don't ever get deleted, thus allowing things to be planned over timespans longer than 24 hours.

The "TG" in "TGChan" is a misnomer, TGChan is primarily a quest site, anything other than them is not the focus of the site and doesn't get as much attention.

I suggest learning to read before you try to write.

For example, you could read some of the replies to that awful fapfic here in /meep/---oh, wait, it actually got deleted because this is not a site for circlejerking over each-other's terrible fapfic! >>6135

No, it wasn't deleted for anything, the poster took it down. The general rule is that only trolling, vehement arguing, and spambots get deleted. I guess if there was a flood of fapfics something would be done, but a single thread is fine.

At least the option exists here. I'm not going to say that lamia writefaggotry thread on /tg/ was the greatest ever, but fuck, it was worksafe and people were being entertained. Also, threads last a long time here, so one could potentially get a big one going and keep them consolidated (or write a really long one and post it in increments).

>>11488
>trolling
Not always. Usually just if it's really blatant and not even a good troll.
>vehement arguments
If that were true, the anon thread would be empty. It's only when things like that fuck up somebody's quest thread that it's a problem.

>>11493
If a major influx of writefaggotry were to occur, there's no reason there couldn't be a /write/ parallel to /draw/.

No offense guys, but I don't like quest threads much. I like certain ones, but all of the ones I end up interested in just sort of die. So I ended up drifting away from the board and back to /tg/. The discussion doesn't really happen here.. so I'm eternally bound to /tg/ proper.

Though maybe I can use this as a drawfag launch platfo-

Say, would you say there is any need for, say, a background drawfag? As in a drawfag that [attempts] to draw good backgrounds useable for establishing scenery in a game.

I can do characters, but I usually don't feel inspired enough, or motivated enough otherwise, to do them.

There are certainly quest authors who hate drawing backgrounds. I don't know how practical collaboration on something that's a strictly ad-hoc when-you-feel-like-it unpaid hobby thing works, though.
