Hatman spotted some strange rectangular things moving below them. They were getting closer.

He wondered what they were, some of them were quite colourful.

This however was not the beginning of our tale, it is a time after that. We could go back, tell of where it all began, the white room, you wouldn't be able to really change anything, afterall, it already happened.

You can only change the future through the present.

And presently those boxes as Hatman sees them are getting closer...

At this point it would be useful to tell you this, Hatman's mouth instead of being filled with normal teeth was filled with triangular teeth, not unlike a shark's. The effect of him smiling and shouting help with teeth bared would be decidedly unnerving. Coupled with falling suddenly on somebody's vehicle it would be quite frightening.

The mousey haired uninteresting woman in the flying car(that is what we would know it as even if hatman wouldn't) obviously thought it was quite scary. She let out a scream and slammed her palm down on a large red button next to her steering wheel. This had the effect of the bonnet swinging up and catapulting Hatman. Lynk took up screaming again.

It occurred to the woman in the car with the modified bonnet that she may have sent a man to his doom, she shrugged and continued to inch through the air traffic, she was hungry and it was late.

The mage shoved a bunch of notes and some coinage into Hatman's hand. Then mage changed in a flash of magic into a bear.
With new strength he grabbed the body of the thug and went off growling.

“That money is yours you helped take this guy down, the money is equivalent to half of the reward, bye! And thanks again!” With that the transformed mage went off.

Lynk licked it.
“Blurgg!!!! That was horrible, I don't think it is supposed to be eaten, we should keep it though, that person seemed to think it was valuable.” Lynx said after tasting the coin.

He gasped at the sight that greeted him, as did Lynk quickly rising from her Catnap. Cars flew through the air. Tall majestic buildings pieced the skies, they were shining, in rainbow colours structures, they looked like wings going through the air. The buildings had plantlife spilling from thier tops and falling down the sides. It was beautiful. It was especially nice looking for a pair who had seen nothing apart from a large boring {WHITE ROOM}...

And lots of hats.

A few birds fluttered across the scene, the effect was spoiled by a car hitting one of the birds and swerving around a bit. The driver swore violently further spoiling the now damaged scene of beauty.

A few police cars came about and arrested the man for drunken driving. So the beauty quickly resumed, a butterfly rested on a nearby flower. The streets of the city were quite green, there was grass and flowers and trees and stuff wherever there was free space.

Hatman walked through the streets in amazement looking at shop-fronts and people. Tasteful neon signs looked lovely to him, though he could not read what they said, Hatman didn't even know that they were supposed to be read, is was possible he didn't even know what reading was...

It would have been difficult to say what he didn't know, mainly because he didn't question what he didn't know. He took everything in his stride, more than that he enjoyed it too. Everything was a wonder to him, and now that he had a companion he had nothing to complain about.

There was a strange flickering picture that spoke.
"... and there is futher reports of anti-dustblood riots all over Sunder, The Monitor of Dome has said that such incidents must stop if we are ever to move forward, however The High Prelate, expresses concerns that..."

Hatman saw a strange bird-like person going into a place where there were loud sounds of merriment, the one with the Green glowy sign.

Neon gave a sadistic grin, it was so much more fun to con card-sharks out of their money than it was to swindle poor unfortunate saps. Neon viewed his actions as a sort of justice, he was legally stealing from legal thieves who preyed on the unwary, the main problem with his logic was that the money he reacquired was often going into his own pockets. He did do jobs for people who had lost money to card sharks, he got their money back for them, but he got to keep any extra winnings and if he didn't get extra winnings he would take some of the money he had taken back for his clients.

Neon smiled, he was entering the final stages his victims were beginning to realise two things, Neon was not the sap they thought he was and Neon was much, much better at cheating than they were.

Neon glanced at his partner, a dwarf that even other dwarves would call tiny(Neon would only have called him so if he wanted to die) in steam powered armour on his back there was huge Ax, a second handle was connected by a chain to the handle connected to the massive sword. He would deal with anyone who started to look for a fight...

Not that Neon was bad at fighting he was actually quite good, he just didn't like getting his hands dirty that's all.

Neon noticed with interest the entrance of a man with an extraordinarily large nose, he was all in white like a hospital patient he was wearing a nice blue hat too.
