"It's forming up next to the roadside, coldmas is coming and we gotta figure out what we're gonna do."

The radio tunes into the local happenings of the city-

"- That's right, I said ICE! Coldmas has made it's terrible move on us yet again. But wait, there's more! Lately krobin folk have turned up missing, vanished out of nowhere, leaving their stuff behind looking like they were abducted by aliens. Rumor has it that the Berkin have returned and are gathering people up to use as their fire wood. Keep an eye out for any bear looking people and remember run as far away as you can when you see one.

In other news, the benefacto enemy of the people has escaped aquadavia. That's right, Pyrina herself is running loose somewhere- and as we all remember from the judabist attack she still has followers. So not only do we have to worry about the lack of water and being turned into firewood, there will be a gang of arsonists trying to terrorize the few of us who are trying to survive this season.

Now to some good news, Lady Helio is holding a public commune again in Junk square. For those of you who moved into the city earlier this year, Lady Helio is our local heritage user that emits a heat source that isn't fire. As usual she has her little garden set up for everyone to pile up in there. I would go, but last time I saw a helio gathering it looked like a huge naked dogpile.

eat a fuckload of sugar to thicken your sap. will improve cold resistance. will make you slower as well i suppose...
you could also jury rig a radiator, letting you use fire without the flammability.

Duct tape can solve most problems; you can insulate the house with it. Also, if you have a ton of blankets or something, say, salvaged from the houses of those who no longer need them, you have warmth on the go.

Then again, your species isn't exothermic, so IDK.

Wait, you have radios but no tempature control? Wtf? Just run electricity through a metal with low conductivity and viola a heater.
