Welcome to Another Legend, a terribly drawn(for now) Quest! I am your host, Shotgun Shogun. You may call me SS.

You see, I am away from my computer, and therefore my mouse, so I can only do this with a Touch-To-Click touchpad. It's a piece of shit and I hate it, so this will be interesting, art-wise.

I suppose I went on long enough, however. Choose a selection.

Extras! Maybe it has an art gallery or a sound test to fuck around with.

Indeed there is a sound test! And a theater, apparently. However, the latter is empty due to the fact we have yet to begin.

Enter the sound test?
>>

Bugger the sound test, it all works fine anyway as long as yer Soundblaster Drivers are up to date, and the only thing in the theatre will be trailers and the opening credits. NEW GAME, EUROPEAN EXTREME MODE, FINAL DESTINATION.

You select New Game, and you are presented with this!

It appears you can toggle between text-only and text with art, music(the title theme is still playing, end it when you see a sentence in brackets) and no music, difficulty, which includes Story(Easy), Tale(Normal), Fable(Hard), and Legend(Dante Must Die!), and choose each character's names.

Choose, and choose wisely.

Do the sound test. And no way are we starting a new game before we futz with the options and try to continue a game we never started in the first place.

That's juts logic, man.

Laughter is good. Also, it's midnight in NorAm, so you're probably stuck with me for the time being.

No offense, but just doing a one man session isn't all that fun. I think I'll wait until tomorrow for an update. Mostly because my sister is pestering me to watch Batman with her.

SS out.

I'm back. Let's resume, shall we?

[Remember, cut the music when you see sentences in brackets. Please do so now.]

In the beginning, there was a man, an anvil, steel, and demons.

The man forged a sword from the steel and anvil, vowing to use the product to rid the world of evil.

Armed with his blade, he faced the demons.

The man faced the demons, and, fighting to the end, slayed them all. From the lesser imps to the ruler of hell himself, Satan, he emerged victorious, all from a single sword.

However, not all evil was eradicated.

"And that is how we eliminated the enemy known as free will," your teacher concludes.

"Now, Johnathan, what did we learn today?"

Simple. Free will is, as always, the greatest evil of them all.

"Very good!" the teacher praises. "Keep it up and you will graduate in no time!"

Ah, graduating. The entry into adulthood, a life of being led and told what to do.

Sounds like heaven!

"Now, you must return home," the teacher orders. "See you tomorrow!"

(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTTv-6ZceSQ A Glorified Prison: First City Theme)

You step outside, the cool air filling your lungs.

The City, as you called it, due to never knowing the name of it, has been your home for as long as you remember. It was a true utopia. The key was to make sure no one thought whatever they wanted to, only what they were allowed to think.

You wouldn't have it any other way.

However, there's a problem. You weren't told which way to go.

The scenic route, or the quick route. Given that all you do is read when you're not in school, like you've been told, you aren't in any hurry.

You realize you didn't have permission to think that there was no time limit, and feel terrible. You are such a bad person.

That aside, which path should you take? The upper, more scenic route, or the lower, faster route?

who are we, what do we have, where are we, when are we, and what is around us.

and i seriously hope you didn't really make it legend mode, people like to think they are hot shit, but trust me, you make a situation too difficult and everyone but the person that voted for it will leave, because seriously, setting something that important with only one vote is player count suicide. half hour wait minimum.

Puppet, we are here to guide you. OBEY US UNQUESTIONINGLY. Now, where your pants on your head, go back to your teacher, and inform him that you have received orders to acquire all his worldly possessions. It's technically true, and you don't have permission to think this is a horrible idea, so go forth and pillage!
>>
No. 512808 ID: bf54a8

ps, put a 1/5 or something in subject when making multi-part updates, tells us when we will get to the meat

ponder, you are told what to do by the teacher, who tells them what to do? and who tells that person what to do? and that person, and so on and so forth, someone is at the top and they think and decide everything.
>>
No. 512809 ID: bf54a8

pps, how you respond to things like One's suggestion will set the mood of this quest forever, will you take it an make this super silly quest, or ignore it and make t serious?

But you don't wear pants, so you can't obey!

You feel completely worthless now.

>>512806
You realize you left out some important details like the free-thinker you are.

You are Johnathan. You are a mostly obedient person, up until today. You just don't know what's gotten into you.

You have nothing, at the moment. All of your possessions are at home.

You are in, again, City. You don't know where you are specifically because you've been told not to think about it.

...FUCK. There you go again.

You don't think about time. You've been told so. For once, you manage not to cock that up and suddenly remember.

As for what's around you...
>>

also i vote Tale, because making it easier on us ALSO makes it easier on the OP because he doesn't need to sit there and think up like, a super awesome extreme crazy puzzle, just a normal one.

It's not much. The ever-present Wall preventing the rest of the world from attacking, the path, more of the wall...

You feel part depressed that the world is so barely detailed, and part furious that whoever created this is such a lazy douche.

God, if you had a ration for every time you beefed it today, in terms of thinking...

>>512808
Oh right, you never explained.

Certain individuals can achieve independency. However, this requires pure obedience, a quality you lack. Even then, the independency is limited except for the highest power.

You wouldn't trust yourself with that kind of power, however.
>>
No. 512826 ID: 91c1b3

>>512823
What would you do if you had that kind of power though? How do they enforce no free thinking? It seems like we need to go home quick to prep for a trip!
>>

I believe we should take the scenic route, It will be a good idea to look for secrets. After the plot gets moving we may not be able to return to this area.

I mean, I would hate to lose a party member because we didn't find the potion hidden under the rock in the park...

You should feel bad. Pants are the sign of a loyal drone.

Find out who goes beyond the wall. Then become that guy.
