617058 No. 617058 ID: 265534

ITS Maultier automated emergency transmissions have been received. No response to return signals. Ship is currently in a decaying orbit around 372-E. Potential piracy attempt. Deploying recovery agents to secure assets.

Karthan: "Looks like the lights are on, but nobody's home."
Garret: "If they are home and they're looking for help, they're going to be disappointed that we're just a bunch of assholes with guns."
Madrazo: "Unless there's a bunch of assholes with guns in there. We're probably going to get a varied reaction, based on the circumstances."
Silpher: "Shut up. We're going in."

Liability Assessment and Recovery Agents Joness Karthan, Kerna Silpher, Burgen Drotha, Killian Kurgos, Darak Madrazo, Vela Gyrran and Zolen Garret have entered the Mautier.

Gyrran: "I'm not filling out paperwork explaining why one of you stupid fuckers blew a hole in an old lady the size of a grapefruit, so check your fire."
Garret: "Yes, mom."
Gyrran: "Fuck off, Garret."
Madrazo: "You know what I love about this job? The sense of camaraderie."

Madrazo: "Yeah, yeah... Let's just get this tub flying again. Falling into some shitty gas giant in not how I want to go out."
Krugos: "Just remember to say something funny when you die. Aren't these things mostly helium most of the time?"
Silpher: "I hate to interupt the sixth grade science lesson, but can we get to the engine room or bridge and get this thing moving? Finding someone who actually knows what they're fucking doing might be the best bet, because if we have to rely on you idiots, I don't like our odds."

Head to the bridge first, If the lights are on then the engine might be working as well and even if it isn't if there are hostiles onboard this ship then it's probably better to make sure they can't take the wheel and drive off. Plus the bridge is the most likely place where you'll find crew members so might as well start off heading there.

Head to the engine room. You can fix anything that needs fixing there, and control the powerplant and engines directly. If anyone tries to futz with things from the bridge, you can cut the control runs.

Madrazo: "Let's get to the bridge. Hopefully we can get it going from there."

Moving toward the bridge, there is no noticeable signs of life. Until they come across a sealed blast door. A human torso has apparently been cut in half when it closed.

Krugos: "We finally find someone and the motherfucker's dead. Perfect."

Drotha: "You think workers comp covers this?"

Krugos: "I don't think he's worrying about it either way. The fuck happened here?"

Gyrran: "It looks like they had to seal off the fore of the ship, but nobody is back here and he was trying to come this way."

Silpher: "There wasn't any visible damage. I doubt everybody got spaced. Might just be an accident because of the system fuck up."

Krugos: "So should we crack it?"

Silpher checks the blood to determine a timeframe for the death.
Silpher: "It's been a while. It's starting to dry."

>Maybe we should try visiting other accessible areas of the ship first.
Garret: "We need to keep moving, before this thing's orbit turns into a suborbital trajectory."

The blast door is manually overridden and opened.
Garret: "I can't help but notice there are no legs on the other side."

Silpher: "I hope we all noticed that."

Gyrran: "Maybe the rest of the crew took them away after the accident..."

Drotha: "Maybe they accidentally sprayed the guy down the entire hallway doing it."

right then, some shit went down and people are dead. Could be pirates, could be slavers, could be something else. In any event keep your guns up, check your corners, and stick together. Play this one by the book as you make your way to the bridge, don't want any fuck ups and if these ships have a black box it would actually tell us what happened so we don't have to play 20 questions with the corpse.

Gyrran: "We're with ITS. Do you know what happened here?"

Gyrran: "Let's see it."

Kaori brushes her hair aside and a light is used to take a closer look

Madrazo: "It looks like a mildly infected injection wound. You were probably drugged with something, then in your complacent state, made to move the ship into it's current position, probably for rendezvous with another ship to offload stolen goods."

Garrett: "How do you figure?"

Madrazo: "I watch a lot of crime investigation shows."

You'll have to get the power back on but first make sure this lady is alright. You've only found one and half of the missing crew so don't rush. Clearly something's going down and it is best to take it slow.

Double check the status of the lady, ensure her wound isn't something more and see if anything leading up to the point where she blacked out sounds suspicious.

Set up a command post in the Bridge, secure the area, leave a couple people and the lady there and send a small team out to restore power to the engines.

how long would it take to get the cameras up and running again? be nice to actually see whats going on out there. Other then that just have at least 1 guy watching the doors so you guys can pretend you're not just slacking off.

>all video data has been erased. The whole security network is wiped
Anyone got enough IT specialization to figure out where or how stuff was wiped from? Any digital fingerprints on how it was done? That's maybe a clue.

Ask Kaori if she knows that guy who got cut in half by the blast door, and if there's any way to remotely check for blocked air vents.

Go around and rig bells or chimes or something on all the nearby air vents, make it impossible to get in or out of the ducts quietly.
