Oh! Hey, there you are... been awhile, been quiet actually. So Madware and I are still here and-

"Ey! Why are you just sitting there?!" "I'm thinking Madware," "Better be thinking of a way out!"

So I am locked up with Madware down in some secret bunker of Eddie's, crazy son of a glitch got so paranoid he suspected me. So, what's up with you guys?

> Madware now companion, adress Madware with M1 and Volt with V1 if need be.

Volt are your couplings compatible with Madware? Could you donate an arm or some other parts to Madware if needed?

And does either of you have some kind of light source or built-in night/infrared/x-ray -vision that could be used to examine your surroundings?

Can't. His arm sockets are bigger than mine, thus our arms aren't compatible.

"I got some Night Vision," "Excellent!"

"Give me a moment, and there! Empty room!" "Well maybe there is something we can use down here..."

We're going to need a plan, we got a intercom, a locked door, a table, and I think Eddy is using some sort of zip tie to restrain my arms.

Easy enough now that I am free. Just gotta break the zip tie, much easier when you have usable hands and your wrists aren't bound. Alright... to cover the next bit.

So Madware, it seems you are sharing my madness, "Seems that way," So how about this. I only want my reactor core back, it was stolen from me and I needed to preform a odd job or two to get it back, "Alright..." Help me get it back, and maybe you can come live with me on my base crawler. If not, then we can go our separate ways, "Deal."

Well that was easy to deal with.

And Volt you are some sort of servitor bot? So do you have like a built-in vacuum cleaner or music player or something?

Well that explains our brain friend.

'As for the plant! It was one of the things I got in a trade of info, it's supposed to be a genetically engineered bio-electric power source, all the way from Metro!'

Oh boy. Metro, I have that place marked in red, not supposed to be a easy or nice place to get into.

The Archivist and the Mixer are a duo, a partnership of sorts, they sort through all the old databanks and hard drives and recovering it all.

The Archivist is a borg from before "The Fall", last I saw she was just a brain in a jar and a face on a screen.
> "I can relate to how awful that is."

The Archivist takes recovered data and, well, archives it. Sorting it into different categories based on importance and whether or not it is currently useful in this state of the world.

The Mixer then proceeds to edit what files she hands to him to clean them up as many of them suffer from bugs and glitches, his job is to sift through that and recover it. Good thing he's a old communications warbot so it makes his job easier.

Welp. That's new... the coding just changed into something else.

It's asking me if I want to leave, I don't know if it means leave this specific location on the driver or finally unplug myself.

Should I say yes?

Sillyness aside, I kinda need your help. I found you in a old wreck, your body rusting away helpless to the sands of time, you were low on power and would have probably suffered brain death. So I saved you.

"State Purpose for AI recovery. Eurasian Army Property is sacrosanct under article 15 of the Federated Union Wartime Conditions. All Military AIs must be returned to their proper field operators in case of Body Frame Failure."

Eurasia? Federated Union? By the hand of man what is this Guardian saying?

Reason: Helping a brother out. Query: Are you still at war. Does this Federated Union or its enemy still exist. What if no operator is available to take your call.

Eurasia is the name for the entire continental mass of Europe and Asia.

That's on Earth.

I have no idea what exactly humans are... how do you know? But yeah giant... Guardian AI system. I backed you up to save you and now I wish for you to run my crawler. As for Eurasia and it's Federation, there's nothing but sand.

"Recovery failure. Will delete self to-"

NONONONONONO! I'm not going to hurt you. I'm giving you a new purpose... I swear the Guardians were supposedly smarter than this.

"New Protocol engaged."

But I'm on Earth, and there's nothing but sand as far as I can see... I think... do you think it still exists?

Let's say we're privileged to some old information. It's relevance may greatly vary given that was a long time ago.

Also isn't Ziggy a preserved human brain?

I'm sure there's ocean somewhere. Just because you're in a giant desert doesn't mean the whole world is. Like >>755384 said, the water has to go somewhere.

It's quite possible that all the land has been desertified though... Depending what exactly happened to make the world this way.

>>755410
You could be parts of my previous iterations still stuck in my hard-drives, as for Ziggy. I unno, she hasn't said anything, some Borg brains don't even recall the world before. Others are formed from carbons who need new bodies because theirs are dying.

I think we've covered everything here, right? If so, are we ready to get going?

Good to know we're possibly the phantoms of hand-me-down positronic data.

Are we able to communicate with the guardian while walking or is this 1:1 cyber neural interface whatzit going to occupy all your cognitive power until we can just stick it in a floating drone or something?

Guuuuuuuuuuuh... ow... is that what it's like? Why does it hurt so much?

Okay... we got Ziggy a body, Madware's on our side, we know where to go next... The Guardian's mind is functional and willing to work.

Any last things or can we go now?

By the way Volt have you heard of any kind of working flying craft? It just seems that flying would be a much better way to get around the wastes than on wheels.
