Nameless is only alive because she escaped a sacrificial event that targeted your family for some sort of offense against a religious law. Only one other nameless escaped with you into the tunnels of Underdrought. While resting her eyes for a moment nameless lost track of her sister. She was not to be found anywhere near, but interrogating two assassins sent after nameless on different missions she discovered her sister was bought by a Tendrakki ‘corporation’ called Cavegulli Group. The journey continues east in search of the other nameless.

I breath in last lungful of fog from the cool waters of the gilded fountain. A weirdest feeling filled me a moment ago. As I posed in the waterfall a strongest feeling of pride overwhelmed me. I dress up and pose again to feel the newfound power from killing five enemies with overwhelming swiftness. My swiftness is increased. I consume both of the roundbreads to sate my hunger after so much travel and bathing in the cold water. My condition has increased.

What should I do with the two cave crocodili I claimed from the dead Tendrakki assassin? What about his weird pink beret? I am not going to wear it either!
>>
No. 747877 ID: 3e182c

Hold on to the Beret. Let it remind you of the virtues of silence and deception.

As for the Croc's, they are yours now. Ride one and yolk the other behind it.

So what now? I think if you wanted to join Cavegulli to get closer to your sister, you've certainly passed your employment application.

Of course... You could try to get a better lead on her yourself... but, what will you do when you find her? Will you run forever?

Killing people is rather fun. Being an assassin might not be such a bad deal.

>What should I do with the two cave crocodili
Eat them? Or more realistically harvest the teeth (might be useful for tools), the meat, and the hide (might be useful for armor, clothing, or other things made of gator leather).

>What about his weird pink beret?
Wrap food or ammo in it? It's sort of half-bag, half-sheet.

Crocodile-Beret Purse. You need a bigger bag, these are high-quality materials for the job.

keep one croc, harvest the other for useful stuff (food materials ect) and put the beret on the other one, if nothing else it might be a good distraction later on

I got a high quality hide, but it's too big to be carried and I don't have proper equipment to make it less bloody and messy for a new bag. Bites! Lost 10 bullets to that thick skinned bastard before it died.

What should I do with the high quality saddle?

could you maybe use it as a makeshift securing strap for the hide and lash it to the remaining croc?
also make a note to shoot tough-hided creatures through the eye next time, straight to the brain, no bone or skin involved

Oh. No knife.
How do you have 4 guns, a bunch a dynamite, and no knives.
This must be rectified at your earliest convenience.

Hold onto the saddle. If anything it's money.

Yuh, a proper knife is what I didn't have time to seek when we escaped with my sister. Don't remember if my sister had a knife with her either... We killed a couple of guards by surprise and took their weapons.

Keep the hide for now, you'll never know when you need it later.

Get on the second crocodile and ride your way to civilization! Then sell it to the highest bidder.

When you get somewhere with a crafting station, make a crocodile purse with the beret as the silk lining, then use the remainder with whatever armor you can buy to create a bulletproof vest and a bulletproof mask.

I need more time to find my way to crafting station. I narrow up the path by my underground instincts combining scents, warm vision and... well sense.

There are two waterways leading towards east, the Tendrakki territory. Two of them are flooded with brown or red water. There's something in the cavernsoil that makes both the cavern floor and water look red.

A third option is to walk the crocodile on ground through old river channel. This takes time, but I have a good feeling of where this plan is going to end up in.

>Two of them are flooded with brown or red water
Sounds like Iron. You can confirm that if a small sampling of it tastes like blood.
If so, you might run into a mining operation if you take the red waterway, but the murky waters could provide ample places to hide, and could serve to camouflage your croc. While I don't doubt you could hide in the tunnel if need be, I doubt the croc would.

I say Take the brown waterway. It's probably the least likely place you'll encounter trouble.

...Unless you're looking for trouble. In that case, I'd take the red way.

I follow the brown murky river, it's a boring shortcut that after a while connects back to the red river and I arrive in a place which I presume is a Tendrakki city.

Hmm, I wonder which place "CaveGulliGroup" is?

Should I roam around the city and do business with stolen goods before going for the employer?

Sure. They're burning a hole in your pockets otherwise. And money could be used to purchase addition weapons / hire resources.

You don't need all those guns.
Keep your Glass Grips, sell off the Revolver and the Tendraki gun, along with its ammo. Extra Saddle and Alga canisters too.
Get yourself a nice combat knife or Machete. Maybe some throwing knives if you know how to use them. Resupply yourself with rations and water and maybe get decent meal in ya, then go get yourself something to wear. Something functional but respectable. If there's a place where you can do something wicked with them teeth, go ahead and do that too.

Then go look for Cavegulli.

- buy a decent cave machete.
- sell all the guns except my glass grips.
- restock ammunition and
- sell the types of ammunition I have no use for.

Is there something to be added to one of these costumes? I could buy all of them or save 1/4 carryspace per outfit in my bag. I have 3/4 space left.

In which costume should I approach Cavegulli Group?

Should I hire a servant for a week now to just increase my carryspace or to gain cultural expertise or cannonfodder?

> Equipment
That wool duster will earn you respect at any corporation for being the appropriate attire of combat units.

And because it will protect you if they decide to just kill you.

Look around for gadgets. Find something that can give you an edge in stealth.

> Hire a servant
Don't. You're a drifter, not a professional. Unless you can develop a strong partnership, 2-1 your new partner is going to stab you in the back or screw up and die. Either way you lose the deposit and suffer an obstacle.

Too bad that girl died. If you saved her and inspired her to live she would owe you a life debt. Debts like that aren't the kind that people would betray to get out of.

I'd vote the Jacket. Death is most easily served to those ignorant of it. I'd normally say Coat but let's be honest. You cant really Talk the talk or walk the walk. Sure that worked for dumbass earlier but... He was a dumbass. You just aren't well read enough. You can't even read in the first place.

In fact, we should rectify that now. The ability to read and write is utterly paramount to any sort of long term success or survival in any civilization.

Hire a tutor or literate servant to teach you to read.

I enter the small outlet or mechanic's workshop.

A borrocka, a race that I'm used to seeing as a lowly slave worker, stands behind a desk on which instruments of unknown function occupy half the space. He greets me with reservation in underdrought common speak and welcomes me to his butique. He doesn't move and seems to stand erect ready to maybe grab something from under his desk.

>>750183

Yeah... t'was good idea to come in guns blazing! Not really after a reconsideration.

>>750191

I don't know the local culture, can't read, can't speak the dialects and language of many of the races I've seen in this multicultural intermingling of a place. Actually I have little idea how the slaves are capable of managing themselves on the streets and in the houses without drivers. So yeah... I'm not very comfortable starting a burglary yet with noisy approahces.

Anyway, while you're here. Ask the guy at the counter if they have anything. Strange or Deceptive and unassuming.

I wander off to the streets of the city. The streets and houses are mined out of the cavern floor. The Tendrakki seem to like glowing things and transitions from darkness to glow. Any brighter and my eyes would burn here. I move past a legendary-looking Inn and find drunken Tendrakkis outside. This district seems to be for the better folks in town.

"Hey slitherin' friend, not selling snake oil here..."

There's a male snakeman in an unlit alley. Doesn't dress like he should, overall a very shady person. Not an appearance too good to be true, but I don't know what the heck? What does he want? Why is he here? Wait...

They know I'm here?
