"That's okay. Gazzene's with us, and she's a cleric."
"... Sanya, must you really bring Conan along with you? It might be perilous for his safety. Can't I just bring him to your mother instead?"
"Conan sees me as his mother, not Sanasha. It might be stupid of me to do so, but I need to bring him just in case I find my father."
"... Well, I hope you are all okay, then. I will be staying in this tribe to do some merchandising for a few years, if things go as planned."

We didn't do anything! It was that creepy fortune teller's fault! She gave Gazzene a weird fortune relating to her tiara stone. Here, let me replay it for you.

---
Suddenly, the ball begins to emit some noise. It sounds like a murmur, but I cannot really tell much. What I do here is...

"... of this! Wake up to your own senses..."
"... promised me you'd bring her back! Why..."
"... I cannot forgive you for what you've done to..."

... I see an image of a gem.
---

The gem is a diamond-shaped yellow jewel. Most likely the final Stone. Do you have any idea what attribute the last one is? Honor, perhaps?

We are worried about Gazzene. I think she's been ordered to do something that she knows she's going to regret.

Oh... I'm sorry. It's just that you're prone to making people feel uncomfortable and...

Anyway, someone claimed that they saw the fate of Gazzene's stone, and Gazzene believed them? I don't get it... Did Gazzene knew that it's true? Whoever that is must have their credibility questioned.

Regardless, she really looks bummed. She never talked to anyone after yesterday. I asked Murdelp earlier about it, but he never said anything and just apologized.

... I'm confused now. I feel that we should do about it, but we shouldn't be distracted. We need to go to Alcardia.

credibility is established as she Gazzeene heard something that struck a nerve...

Might be the tone of the voices from the ball... I mean, we can't identify voices from one another generally.

On the other hand, it might be the gem itself, the words said, or the combination of any of them...

Since we have that stored memory, we don't need to head back to ask the teller. We can just cross-check with Gazzene as we walk along...

We come into a cave opening.

Gezzono: "The path's pretty straight-forward from here, but lately rogue goblins were trying to get their way into Alcardia. Some of them were aggressive enough to try and invade us."

"How long is the passage? Is it well maintained? Are there any guard posts or supply depots or anything?"

if he does look like he'll pass out, find out at least if he thinks it's a broad head or something.

Arrow types that are made not to be pulled back will have to be hammered through his shoulder, and then have the tail broken off. (other way means loss of tissue mass). This is much like the way you pull out a fishhook in your skin...

Only after that is done can Gazzene do her work...

If she can't do anything, Use fire magic to cauterize the wound, sling it up with cloth, use cloth to wrap the wound. (assuming fire magic can be used like a match or something)

If she had her teeth would have been clean. Blood doesn't stay in the mouth for long if somebody is eating, since swallowing and the mechanical action of chewing clear it out in seconds.

We need to move them to a secure location, but the blue one was guarding the direction you came from. That means she was expecting attacks from that direction. Sadly, we don't have much choice; take the kids back and regroup with the others, then establish a defensive position next to the mouth of the cave.
We need to buy time for both Gazzene to treat their wounds and for us to find out what happened. As far as long-term care for the children, if they don't have a home to go back to then I would suggest taking them to the King Yelims and asking him to have them escorted to the kobold villiage.

ask how long it was from the battle before agga's mom started attacking. that is our time limit. the one's who are infected will have to be at least tied up until the time limit is up. if they are still okay after the time then they are safe. if not then they are already tied up and what ever it is may be treatable, normally the hard part would be getting close enough to fix it, but they are tied up so they should be good.

"Hopefully not, Nurzu. Anyway, we'll have to do something about this whole 'goblin blood splashing' thing, not to mention tending to the injuries of your friend. We'll have to go to Alcardia."
"But they'll kill us there!"
"We have Alcardia's princess right here, and she's a cleric. Once she figures out what's going on, she'll find a way to cleanse this plague."

(A few moments later...)
Gazzene: "... A plague among the goblins? That is surely unfortunate..."
Gezzono: "You can do something about this, right?"
Gazzene: "Only if we can make it to Alcardia before the goblin kids get corrupted. I will declare them prisoners, unfortunately. It is the only way I can get them inside safely."
Sanya: "It's settled, then. I've tied the three of them together and did everything to cover their senses. Amina's carrying the one with the missing leg; she's also gagged, too. Let's just hope we can make it to Alcardia fast enough."

Maybe I shouldn't be the one holding the goblins; I might be the only one who can actually fend off ambushers. But then again, Gazzene's now holding Conan and Murdelp's still recovering from that attack...

Wait, if this plague is carried by smearing bad blood on wounds -- what are the chances of them starting to dip their arrows in infected blood?

I'm suddenly worried about Murdelp.

We could have asked one of the goblins to translate what the infected one shouted when she attacked us. That'll be a bit difficult at the moment, though. No big loss, just something to keep in mind for later.

Nice rope work, by the way. Speaking of which, ask them if they're comfortable. We don't want to cut off their circulation or something by accident.

I give the rope to Gezzono, and he understands what I want him to do. I grab my halberd.

As long as Nurzu or any of the other goblins don't stray too far from me, I'll be able to hear their thoughts. I haven't really talked to the others beside Nurzu; I only have him, his trust and his goblin language to clarify what we're trying to do to them.

"I hope you're not struggling with what I did to you guys, but it's what we need to convince them not to harm you."
"It's a little bit embarassing..."
"Uhh... Err... Don't worry, we'll try to get you out of those as soon as possible."

Murdelp seems to be fine to me, just a bit shocked from the attack earlier. Gazzene informs me that she has done everything to lessen the damage the arrow made, despite her mentioning that it hit his bone or something.

Those goblins could start moving again...

Better let Gazzene do the talking here. You want to look as hands-off as possible to keep from making her look compromised. Heck, don't even say anything.

We both know this, and thus stay away from each other whenever we're near or in Alcardia. It's for our own safety.

I keep an eye on the corpses for anyone who might attack us, but no movement could be seen from them. Gazzene, on the other hand, makes her move.

Gazzene: "Halt! I approach Alcardia with prisoners! We were attacked by goblins earlier, but the ones we carry are innocent youngsters!"
???: "And what about the traitor?"
Gazzene: "He is here on his own account. He brings to Alcardia the chosen one and her comrades. Surely the water bed has cycled once more to allow his visit to occur?"
???: "Finally, he does something right! We will lower the bridge for both of you."

Hey, Princess, can you order the people to stop insulting your brother? [using whatever stone that lets us talk to her]

Goddamn, piss me right the fuck off.

Why do they call you a traitor anyway? I know you failed the test and all but... that seems a little extreme.

I doubt that. My visits here aren't what they used to be when I still used to hold you, Wisdom Stone. But then again, you can't remember it now.

As much as we both want them to understand the reason I'm exiled, we wouldn't want to stir up unrest inside Alcardia. Council orders.

???: "Welcome, Princess Gazzene! The council has been expecting you."
Gazzene: "Can our meeting wait for a bit? The chosen one and her partymates need healing and shelter. I am pretty certain the council also wants to meet them with me, so they are also partly my responsibility."
???: "Duly noted..."

The guard looks at me.

???: "As for you, same protocol. You know the drill, and don't cause any trouble. You've given us enough to handle, already."

Sanya: "... I'm not feeling so well..."
