Hey there, so your lot # 18… holy hair. Never mind then, I’m the ovnianam, pretty much the card collector and adjudicator of drivable machines. I came over here to get you smart about the situation your in, so as to get complete and agreeable obedience from you and ensure great quality entertainment from you.

You, for whatever reason, are detained here in the garage. How you ended up here doesn’t matter to me AT ALL, so don’t bother sharing. This garage belongs to a big corporation which takes convicted felons of the most extreme and pits them in a Grande royal annihilation race. The key to the race is to make it to the finish line without dying, but the viewers (who watch at home on their computers or televisions) are looking for skilled drivers to compete for the first three positions over the finish line. Now I won’t explain the details of racing other then kill or be killed and make it to the finish line.

The next part I have to tell you is about your vehicle, maintenance of said vehicle, personalizing the vehicle, personalizing YOURSELF, and the card/ currency system.
The vehicle you race with can be customized to any way of your liking, any vehicle you choose has a limited amount of customizations that it can take apart from stock, and all vehicles can be upgraded to take more customizations if you buy upgrade mods with our currency.

Vehicle maintenance will be upheld by your lot mechanic, which you will pick randomly here in a moment, and he (or she if that happens) will maintain and install your vehicle upgrades and customization mods. Be highly careful around the garage area when certain racers are around, some have a tendency of killing your mechanic if you don’t watch yourself… there’s one that comes to mind that will even murder racers outside of a race, so don’t cause any trouble here.

292535

Now personalizing yourself, you and your vehicle get a racer tag, which means this is the identity that is broadcast on the board and is your official name here in the race. I will let you register yourself in a minute after I get the paperwork, but remember… THE NAMES THAT YOU PUT DOWN WILL BE SET IN STONE so don’t be stupid about it. You and your vehicles look can be anything that you like, but at least keep a theme to match your name, the audience likes it when they can recognize a character by theme.

Finally about the currency… this is a stupid way we do things, but you have to play along to get ahead here. Our currency is based off of some trading card system that is generated through rarity. You win races and collect cards based on how well you race, these cards can be used to buy either food or clothes in the garage shops or they can be traded into me to collect card related equipment to modify and customize your vehicle. I’ll try to give you an example of how this works, our trading cards are called /QUEST/ , so all the cards are based off something or another and they have characters on them. A common character to collect is Dompag, if you were to go grab a bite to eat you’d have to pay multiple Dompag cards to grab… say a sandwich. Now, say you were needing a new item to slap on your shitty ride, then you can trade your dompag to me for D.I.K.
It’s an acronym for dynamic incendiary kannon so don’t give me that shitty look. Anyway, it’s a terrible weapon and I would have to say good luck to you after I got it for you. Moving on now, Dompag is a common card that you can collect from pretty much anyone, but there are different rarity of cards that will be considered higher on the monetary scale, so keep this in mind as well… it should say the rarity next to the name when you get one. The list of rarity is this, Useless, Common, Uncommon, Rare, Crazy rare, and Extinct.

In the beginning we had the same amount of copies made for all of the cards, and the theory was that after you traded them in they would go back into circulation. Sadly that’s not what happened, turns out that some cards when traded in related to a piece of equipment that was so intensely powerful or crazy that some racers ripped the cards up so as to not let it circulate and fall into other racers hands. One card I can think of is the Beardbeard card, if anyone traded it in they would get the DORFGODENJIN. The DORFGODENJIN was so ridiculously crazy that it would tear apart full blown chunks from the track in order to teleport full bounds ahead of the competition.

alright, done waiting, what's your name?"

>>
No. 300632 ID: 1854db

Funny... let's go with 4 out of 5. General enjoyment I'd say 6 out of 10, as it kindof went nowhere as you said.

Improvements: You could have tightened up the flow of the quest; maybe restricted where we could go and do next... Also while the infinitely long pompadour is hilarious, having the camera a bit closer to him would make it a bit less completely ridiculous. Make it have an unknown but very large size, rather than an obviously impossible length.

Also, giving the main character a little more of a personality of his own would've been nice. That's more of a personal taste of mine though.

I liked the quest, and I thought the main character had plenty of personality, especially with the scenes inside his head. Also, I like your absurdist humor.

As for improvements... I'd agree about restricting our options a bit. The best would be to make it look like we have lots of choices when we really don't, but that can be tricky to pull off. Keep it moving in the direction it's going, though! I like it.

The end of the hair must never be seen. This has a significant practical advantage, since that way we'll always be able to instantly see where he is in a picture even when it's horribly chaotic. He can even appear in a zoomed-out shot of a massive crowd without requiring a halo, dead zone, or other tricks to make him stand out.

It did have a bit of a meandering feel to it. And I actually liked the impossibly long pompadour, so I guess tastes differ there.
