This takes place one year after the events of Tezakia Quest, and several months after Jiniki's Journey. It's not required to read either quest, but they provide a lot of backstory for what's going on.

"Sekani? ...Are you drunk?"

"Nuh uh! I only had one glass of wine."

She stares at him.

"You're a bird. It might as well have been hard liquor!"

"Sounds good let's get some!"

"No!"

Has it really been a year? Amiel's been so busy helping rebuild the FACILITY that she lost track of time. She never really had a chance to think about how she felt about-

Okay, one thing at a time. She has a drunk boyfriend to deal with. She can't drag Sekani to the SLUMBER PARTY like this, can she?

It would be better to keep an eye on him until he gets sober or passes out. Leaving him here alone might mean he gets in some sort of trouble, then you'll have to end the slumber party because he's in prison smelling of pickles with your name misspelled in a tattoo on his plucked bare backside.

What, his majibeast status doesn't add to his alcohol tolerance? Lame.

Well he only drank one glass of wine. Getting drunk quick probably means he'll get sober quick too right? Maybe some coffee would help.

Would you feel gross doing him right? Because if you 'do it', he'll probably just pass out afterwards. Might be a good thing.

But if you want him to stay up and detox, just keep him hydrated, don't give him any food, and try to occupy him till he processes the alcohol. :V

Alternatively, bet him that he can't use his magica to turn the alcohol in his blood into fuel to enhance his flame thingy. Promise sex if he can! Make sure he fires it off somewhere safe...

Ask him where he got the wine, then have stern talking to with the one who gave it to him (probably Dillia...).

Or if he did this to himself, punch him in the face, then drag his sorry unconscios ass to the slumber party with him already in slumber mode.

She's not falling for that again.

>why so sad Amiel? Is it because of your green glowing child in the jar?
It's the jar of ICE MAJICKA ESSENCE that Jiniki extracted from a worm months back. Drinking it would turn Amiel into a majibeast, but she isn't sure if she wants that. She's been putting off deciding...

"Is that booze? Can I have some~"

"No! Mixing fire and ice might make you explode or something."

"Sounds fun~"

>Sex him up!
>Would you feel gross doing him right? Because if you 'do it', he'll probably just pass out afterwards. Might be a good thing.
She has no desire to do that while he's like this. It'd feel... wrong. Like she was taking advantage.

>Well he only drank one glass of wine. Getting drunk quick probably means he'll get sober quick too right? Maybe some coffee would help.
This is why Tezakian drinks never contain more than .5% alcohol. To make matters worse, his metabolism is slowed by majicka. He'll be like this for a bit.

>You need some too! Everyone knows you can't go to a slumber party sober.
Hmm. It is the one-year celebration of Iiji's defeat and the formation of Zalika as a safe haven for all. Maybe this would be a good time to bring the Good Stuff. None for Sekani, though. He's been a bad bird.

>Got any terrible Lian sobering-up remedies that you know of, Amiel? (Maybe nothing like raw eggs, considering.)
She picks him up.

"Yay~ Now just take me over to the bed~"

"We're going to get you some coffee."

"nooooo"

There's only one person who would put him up to this. Someone who'd do it just to laugh at him while he makes a fool of himself.

Chugg that Majibeast essence like a baws and then chase it down with a shot or two of vodka. Come on, you know you want to. I mean everyone else is a cool majibeast or something and you're just lame old you, which is lame. But instead you could shoot ice and stuff. Would also make it so much easier to get cold drinks and stuff, which would be an awesome party trick at the slumber party.

I agree fully with this. This is going to be the very best thing ever. We should start drafting a plan... (Also that facial expression makes her look like a horse.)

>>375429
That sounds like a bad idea. Everyone who did that went at least temporarily murderously insane. Let's save it for an inevitable attack by a force that is defeating all of your friends for a dramatic transformation to save the day. That stuff looks a LOT more potent than any of the other stuff. The vials we had never swam around. Everyone else got pretty measured doses for their size except for Iiji. The worm that all that was pulled from was massive, so it might be enough to make you insanely powerful. With the emphasis on the adverb.
>>
No. 375434 ID: c2c011

>>375433
But that's why we should do it now so we have the murderous rage out of the way before the slumber party. We don't want to ruin the party by trying to murder everyone or something silly like that. And the vodka chasers could be made more powerful so she's knocked out before she can go into a proper frenzy. Or at least drunk enough that she can't really do much while in the frenzy.

And besides, everyone together can keep her reigned in if there's any initial danger—which there shouldn't be, since these are much safer and less morally ambiguous circumstances than anyone else had to deal with; there are no enemies around, and no reason to consider anyone else potentially hostile.

You don't want to condemn Sekani to a life of loneliness after your premature death, do you? You've always been strong—you should have no trouble managing the essence, and it'll be worth it for all the future good times to be had. The anniversary is the perfect time to cement your relationship once and for all.

Becoming a majibeast means alienating her country and possibly her family. Majibeasts live a lot longer, meaning she'll have to watch them age and die. The decision isn't as easy as taking a sip and being an awesome monster.

And there's someone else she'd be leaving behind. Someone who means just as much to her as Sekani does. Someone who supported her when Magic Johnson, a being of pure majicka, took over her body.

Dilia...

"Hey sweety. I was just getting some water before heading to the party," she says.

Dilia was there for her during her weakest moments. Amiel feels safe around her, like she can tell Dilia her deepest and darkest secrets. It's... hard to explain. It's a different feeling than the one Sekani gives her, but one that is equally strong.

"I'm getting Sekani some coffee," Amiel says. "Tayza got him drunk again."

"Again? We'll have to give her another talking-to."

"Oh, I have something way more awesome planned..." Amiel chuckles.

Dilia raises an eyebrow. "Amiel, are you planning on getting Tayza drunk."

Oh crap! Dilia really does know her too well! She could try to deny it, or try to convince Dilia that this is the best idea ever and will result in the best slumber party of all time.

Explain that you've known Tayza for a while now, and if we're going to get her to stop, the only thing to do is beat her at her own game. She considers herself an alpha, and the only way to make her do what we say is to one-up her, show we're better. That's right. It's time to dominate Tayza.

Getting her drunk just means having TWO drunked louts to deal with instead of 1. And besides, you guys should be setting a good example of Jini who, is very impressionable (given that she started out in TQ as kind of a serial killer, being careful of what you do around Jini is a good idea).

Just deck her without Jini being present. It'll be signifficantly less headache later on.

>Becoming a majibeast means alienating her country and possibly her family.
You've already alienated yourself from your country such that this won't make any difference: by allying yourself with Sekani, and by calling for peace. Don't ruin yourself grasping for what has already been lost.
Your family knows you. If you give them the chance—even if it takes some time—they will realize that you are still you and that nothing else matters. Again, if they're able to accept your call for peace and your relationship with Sekani, then you have nothing to fear, and if they cannot accept those, then your connection to them is a lost cause—and no big loss, at that.

>Majibeasts live a lot longer, meaning she'll have to watch them age and die.
Would you doom Sekani and so many of your new friends to watch you age and die for such selfish reasons? Simply because you cannot stand to be there for your family and carry on their legacy beyond their own passing? You're stronger than that. You know you are.

>And there's someone else she'd be leaving behind.
But this isn't true at all. You won't be leaving Dilia. You'll be there for her even in her old age, even when you would have otherwise became too frail to aid and protect her any more. You'll be able to do as much, and more, for her than would have otherwise been possible. Most of all, though, she would never want to be the cause of you limiting yourself—and of dooming Sekani, who has done so much for all of you, to the premature, preventable loss of that which is most important to him.

>The decision isn't as easy as taking a sip and being an awesome monster.
Finally, remember: whatever happens, you can always go back; there is more cure than anyone has a use for, and many good, trustworthy friends on hand to help you should you need it—but if you let that essence dissipate, you may never have another chance.

Kinasa is (mostly) a Tezakian. You're going to be daring Tayza to drink. What happens if someone dares Kinasa to drink? You'll have TWO zonked-out birdies to deal with. And who knows what they might do... with each other... if they were both drunk...

You can bring her along, just make sure she doesn't have any booze!

It might be a good idea to see if Grasshopper could come up with something to neutralize alcohol as it enters their system - something like an "alcohol vaccine". Speaking of that, have you ever checked to see if he had a cure for drunkenness before? You just kinda waved him off back there in the med bay...

GOOD STUFF has upgraded to BEST STUFF! Tayza's in for a very interesting time...

>YES TO KINASA
"Well... okay, but--"

"Oh no!" Kinasa says, running to Sekani. "Are you okay? You're barely standing up!"

"There is an epic battle going on inside me," Sekani says. "My fire itches. I don't even know how."

"Oh you poor thing!"

"He's fine," Amiel says, "He's just recovering from being drunk. Now go along and get some jammies."

"But Tezakians sleep naked!" Kinasa protests.

"yeah super naked help me out of this shirt--"

"TWO RULES, NO DRINKING AND NO GETTING MY BOYFRIEND NAKED." Amiel says loudly.

"i didn't mean um okay i-i'll just um go get something i'll be back okay see you" Kinasa mumbles as she rushes off.

Or do you just feel she doesn't belong with your elitist group of protagonist party and former antagonist? ...Or is this one of those things that girlfriends do about competition?
Amiel finds her highly suspicious! She keeps touching Sekani, insisting that's just how she is. She doesn't seem to touch anyone else that much! Maybe she's just really awkward around Tezakian boys, but... it's hard not to feel a little jealous. Maybe Amiel's projecting--

No, now's not the time to think about this. PARTY. WOO.

Amiel heads inside. Looks like Dilia and Susan went in while she was distracted.

"Okay," Susan says, "Nobody else can decide on what we should do first. Any ideas?"

"What are our options?" Amiel asks.

"We could play the board game, 'Battle Fight'. It's about three races in strategic combat and we can control all of them. We use the honor system to prevent meta-gaming."

"Does that work?"

"Well... no, but we also have 'Awkward Twist', where you put your hands and feet on colored circles and the game goes until someone feels really weird. There's also a bunch of pillows piled up but I'm not sure what we'd do with them."

Dilia speaks up. "Hey Shela, what's this bottle for?"

"I'm not sure. Jiniki insists she read about a game involving a bottle, but she can't remember the details. Anyways, we could also watch a movie, or go eat food and drink punch. Any preferences?"

If not we could play one of the games where we make people do stuff and dare her to drink the whole punch bowl.

I like it how Tayza DOES wear clothes to sleep in. I would call it adorable if she weren't so scary. First thing's first, get the food and punch out and watch a movie. The other things look like they'd be more fun when everyone's drunk. We'll leave the punch without anything in it for the first hour or so of the movie so people will suspect nothing, then we'll get up and get some more punch. You get yourself and Jiniki a glass of it, then pour in the alcohol. Then poor a bunch of other cups of the alcohol punch, and bring them back for everyone.

Hanging all over Sekani or...well, probably Dilia for the sake of spite would be awfully mean spirited. Feeling up Kinasa would just lead to confusion, and there's an off-chance she'd like it. This thing's enough of a 'harem' as it is.

If you want to bring Dilia into this then Sekani will completely approve of it, but you should still talk it over with him before you extend the offer since communication is very important.
Honestly, Sekani wants you to be happy more than pretty much anything, and if I recall correctly you two were seriously considering including her until- well, she's clearly better now, and for the past year things have been going fine, so maybe it's time to give her a second chance as more than a friend?

After THAT talk, the two/three of you need to discuss what you think of that majibeast jar and how you feel about everything. Hopes, fears, that sort of thing.

Siccing your drunk boyfriend on Tayza ... sounds likely to end up with Tayza trying to sic him back on you which means paying attention to you. Since, you know, this whole plot is happening because Tayza is already dumping a drunk Sekani on you.
Not saying it's an out-right bad idea.. but unless there's something in particular you can get Sekani to do that Tayza won't try to dump on you to fix it's probably not a good idea. Or maybe you can say you're going to the bathroom so Tayza won't look for you while Sekani bugs her (or something along those lines).

The only person we need to keep from drinking it is Jiniki, and to do that we can just tell her that she's already hyperactive enough without a bunch of sugar in her, and for Shela to watch her. Come on, Amiel. If you do this once, you're never going to get do it again. We have to go all out and try to get the whole party drunk. It may take a bit of work to make sure that the tezakians don't get sick, but it's going to be so worth it. Do it because it will be really funny. Looks like it's Truth or Dare time. Make sure Tayza doesn't go until she finishes that glass of spiked punch. You want her good and fuzzy-headed to take your dare.

Suggest to Jiniki that she should stay by her mother's side to keep an eye on her; She's not looking so well after guzzling that booze. Hopefully that'll keep her away from the spiked punch. As backup, tell Dilia the punch is spiked, and to keep Jiniki away from it. (Dang, is there even any BEST STUFF left after that mighty chug?)

Let Kinasa have as much punch as she wants. You wanted to see if she'd act less awkward and weird while drunk, didn't you? Now is your chance.

As for Sekani... Uh... It would be bad if he got even more drunk on that spiked punch, right? Better let him in on operation Get Tayza Drunk. Emphasize that you're doing this to stop Tayza from doing this shit. Remind him of his hangovers from after she got him drunk before.

SUDDENLY, A PLAN:
- Claim you need to talk with Kinasa real quick; use the opportunity to steer her away from the punch bowl! Come up with some BS to talk with her about - how she's liking the party, etc., maybe talk a little about the whole Sekani/Majibeast thing if you feel like it. Consider telling her that you JUST FOUND OUT that Tezakians are allergic to the punch. :(
- Tell Tayza that you've got an idea for when you get back; everyone should just mingle until then! Or they can all debate what to do, you don't really care. (It'll take a while for the alcohol to have any kind of affect on Tayza; maybe 20-30 minutes? That's when we should spring the Truth or Dare game.)

Tayza isn't heartless. In fact, she's a leader. She must know that what she suggested might cause problems, but she probably sees this as an opportunity for you to figure things out for yourself. Look past the seething rage and think about how you feel about the two of them kissing. Happy? Sad? Angry? Jealous? What? ANd directed at which of the two of them?

I dunno... she makes a HUGE deal about our relationship with Sakani, then dares Dilia to kiss him like that? She acted like a leader when she gave us that hint; doing what she just did doesn't help anyone.

She knows full well that we love him (and Dilia still has a thing for him), so suddenly initiating the same back-and-forth that she was admonishing us for is hardly very nice.

But if we're so hung up over revenge, the least we can do is at least conspire with Dilia for a very creative "dare". If she just needs to de-stress, the least we can do is get back at her a bit and give her a less damaging outlet.

At a guess, it was eons ago with what's his name from the main quest =P Probably around the time they broke it off. She'd also probably have no problem admitting this at ALL either, since it's not pretty obvious but probably common knowledge. So kind of a waste of a question.

No, what'd really be embarassing is asking something more like "besides Jini, which of us do you like best?" Her hard ass attitude would NORMALLY just dismiss this kind of question saying "none of you!" or passing it off as sentimental garbage or whatever. But she's got to abide by the rules of the game (and the liquor), and it'd probably be plenty embarassing making her confess she actually LIKES one of you!

I vaguely recall her actually going into her relationship with whatshisname in main quest before, albeit begrudgingly, so a second telling would likely be just an angry retelling rather than an embarassed first telling =P

Don't ask what her greatest fear is. It would almost certainly be to be weak and sickly again; To be changed back. That's not particularly hard to guess.

Tayza's last sexual relationship, that we know of, was with Delkin, that guy who could weave illusions. When a female tezakian ki-jaara, Nesaki, showed up, Delkin broke off with Tayza and hooked up with the new girl, if I remember correctly. Nesaki was the one who laid those eggs near the inner gate.

Are we sure that we want to be talking about this kind of thing with Jiniki in the room? Actually, where did Jiniki go? ...Uh-oh... She's getting into the spiked punch, isn't she?

Amiel recognizes those sounds. It's the same thing he said to her a year ago when they were alone and scared. Sekani had been mutating, and neither of them knew if they'd survive the next day. There wasn't much to it beyond 'Help Amiel relax, possibly with booze', but this has been their plan since Sekani's distress made it obvious something needed to be done. Tayza wanted to demand she come out with it, but Dilia convinced her to do this instead and let Amiel open up on her own.

Dilia has no idea what Tayza was going for when she dared her to kiss Sekani, though. Maybe Tayza secretly has fantasies about them--

That's a creepy thought. Dilia's going to assume it's not the case.

>Demand everyone else make pillow forts. Declare self High Empress of Pillownia.
There's not enough pillows for that, but Dilia will declare herself High-Empress anyway! Tayza doesn't have a monopoly on alpha-ing!

"Hurry before the enemy army gets you!" Sekani says.

"They have like a million guns~" Amiel adds.

>Dilia how do you feel about having Amiel and Sekani as lovers good/bad?
Amiel's been good to her and vice versa, she likes to think. Still, Dilia's been wary of getting too attached to her since it's only a matter of time before Amiel decides she wants Sekani. It's probably what Amiel wants to tell them, and... that's okay. Dilia just wants her to be happy. Yeah...

Things are a little awkward with Sekani (or they would be if she weren't tipsy). Dilia's been so busy with setting up meetings and keeping track of finances that she hasn't really had time to talk with him. Their relationship isn't strained, but it hasn't really gone anywhere either.

Oh no! The MEGAFORT is under siege by an army of Kinasa! She probably wants to take Sekani for herself!

...Which would make things a lot easier, actually. Sekani could be with his own kind, and Amiel and Dilia could--

"You're trespassing in fort Kinasa! Come on out except maybe Sekani if that's okay with him I mean I don't want to make him or anything um this sounds kind of weird doesn't it? Forget I said that last part, okay? Just come on out with your hands up. Or down if you want."

This calls for some extremely complicated strategy!

"Aww-- wait. Dilia too?" Sekani asks.

"Yeah, I think so. This is probably a bad time, with Kinasa attacking and all, but I can't actually choose between you. I want to be with both of you."

"I... i dunno what to say..." Sekani says.

Amiel loves Dilia? Sure, they've had a good time together, but Dilia always assumed at the end of the day he'd be the one she wanted. But how does Dilia feel? Does she want to try and share Amiel with Sekani on a more long-term basis? This can't possibly lead to a healthy relationship, can it? What if Amiel's just clinging to her for support? Could Dilia really mean more to her than that? This is so complicated...

Sekani looks pretty upset. Dilia better tread carefully.

Amiel has some poor timing with this crap, in the middle of cute pillow fort shenanigans. Now Kinasa's sorta cutesy awkward demand is all ruined!

Anyway if you think that having both of them is even workable, you may as well try, for Amiel's sake. Sekani will just have to get over it!

Also you've done him before, it's not like you can't stand the idea DILIA.

But act like that's completely fine so things can keep going without a lot of crying and peeping and oh god most depressing slumber party ever.

Love triangles need solid sides. The Amiel-Dilia and Amiel-Sekani sides are solid. You need to work with Sekani to make sure you two are close enough for this relationship to work.

So you'll need to talk to him. He might feel like this is a kind of rejection, or he's afraid of what would happen between you two, like maybe... he's remembering what you were like before, and thinks you'll steal Amiel.

These are all maybes though. Instead of calling attention to his discomfort right away, voice your own concerns first. This will have a twofold effect- one, it will allow Amiel to explain and make things clearer for you, and it will also demonstrate to Sekani that you are not all gung-ho for it. It'll make you less of a threat. Also, he'll get some more insight into Amiel's feelings from her explanation.

Are you feeling this way towards Amiel 'cause you've been so buried in work that you haven't had time to connect with anyone else in a romantic way? How do you feel, deep down, about her? Would giving her up in that way leave you with lasting regrets?
Is what you feel worth strengthening your relationship with Sekani to be with Amiel? It could be a strong friendship; Non-romantic, non-sexual... ...Or do you still have feelings towards him...?

Urgh! Amiel must have had this kind of mental logjam for a whole year! That'd explain all those times she got that blank look and thousand yard gaze when you were around.
Wish you had more time. An hour. A day. ...A year...? OK, if you catch "Amiel's disease," Tayza might get exasperated enough to just lock all three of you in a closet until you work things out. You're going to have to figure this out now. ...Somehow.

But now... it's complicated. All she knows for sure is she doesn't want to do this forever. She wants a healthy relationship that'll last her till her golden years. If it means letting Amiel go and finding someone else, then that's what she'll have to do.

Then give your little girl a big hug and let her know how much you love her.

Oh, and help everyone else up afterwards.

>Hmm. Why are you guys all embarassed about being naked now when you were previously running about the facility like that?
Majicka has a tendency to... remove one's inhibitions. Like booze, but with electricity and fire. And a way worse 'hangover'...

Everyone was naked and nobody questioned it. It was kind of nice, really. Dilia ran around without a care in the world. It's not like she had much to hide, anyway. She got so used to it that even after being cured her only real worry was getting some 'support'. It was really uncomfortable running around with her new 'figure'.

As time went on she started getting her modesty back, largely because of the new faces showing up at Zalika. That's not to say she doesn't mind being naked when she's by herself, or around... certain people, but otherwise it's just kind of weird.

They get settled and play another movie. Amiel leans on Sekani while holding Dilia's hand. Neither of them object to the other. Near the end of the movie during a particularly romantic scene, they both lean on Amiel. She's never felt so happy or at peace. What's wrong with loving two people, she wonders? They both make her happy and neither of them are demanding or controlling. If there was ever a three-way relationship destined to be, it's this one.

Once the movie's over, Amiel heads to the restroom with these thoughts in her mind. Dilia catches her on her way back.

You deserve someone who knows how they feel, like Sekani. He really loves you, and I think you'd be happier with him than you'd be trying to have both of us."

Ask her why she was leaning on you at the end of the movie, then.

Also, ask her how to think about what life would be like without you. That's actually a pretty good way to figure out if you love someone.

On the other hand you could just say she can take things as slow as she wants. If she wants to be sure, fine, but... not to give up. She shouldn't run away from love.

Note that Sekani apparently doesn't have a problem with it anymore, and that you don't have any problems and clearly love her too. Now that Sekani's come around, the only person who has any objections is her. She needs to stop trying to push any qualms about the relationship she has towards other people and just come out and decide for herself what she feels.
>>
No. 382980 ID: fc72e1

Tell her that feelings can be hard to understand, and remind her how awkward you and Sekani were when you first were sort of getting together. Then say to her that relationships aren't based on what a person deserves, and people can't just be categorized as being better like that. Love doesn't work like that either, and you can tell that there's something here between you guys. Just because monogamous relationships are the usual doesn't mean they're the only kind that can exist, it would be no less abandoning what could be true love to not pursue Sekani than it would be to just pretend that what's between you guys isn't there.

...Also tell her that it wouldn't be fair to her not to be with you two, just because she hasn't figured herself out yet. She's always going to be your friend, and you can't let jealously and sadness at not going for it drive you apart.

YES YES YES

Also, remind her that she's only had ONE evening to think about it. You can understand her reluctance, but ask her to give it a shot for a while. At least a few months. See if it works or not.

Also, make sure that both Sekani and Dilia know what the fallback plan is. If everyone agrees that, if things don't work out, you'll stay with Sekani, then Dilia doesn't have to feel guilty about separating you from Sekani. Sekani will also feel more comfortable by your affirmation that, no matter what, you'll be his life-mate.

At this point, the main issue is actually the relationship between Sekani and Dilia. The possibility for feeling left out or jealous is bad. You need to make sure that you don't do anything with one without the other being cool with it. No secret sexytimes. Oh, and let them know that you don't want to FORCE them to get intimate, but you won't mind if they do. So it's OK for them to try it, and they shouldn't feel awkward about it. But as soon as they're comfortable with the idea, you want 3-ways, dammit. :V

Go for hugs.

Don't try to force any love for Dilia that isn't there. Last time I checked, you guys still had something of an awkward friendship because of what happened when she was a majibeast. You don't want to send her the wrong signals. Just make it clear that you want to do what's best for all of you. You need to let them know that you respect the love that they have, and if this is what Amiel wants to try, you'll try it, too.

The most important thing to do here is to NOT PANIC and think that it's going to fail right off the bat. You know that Dilia is a good person, and doesn't want to take Amiel away from you. Don't try to rush things.

Speaking of that, how *do* you feel about Dilia? Do you think something could happen between you two? Now that Amiel's essentially given you the OK... are you ready to start seeing her as more of a romantic interest than just a friend?

But you wouldn't want her being miserable and alone just because you two are gone, huh? You've probably been berating her this whole time for nearly breaking things off with Amiel... just because she was afraid of replacing you.

But she's not replacing anyone. Dilia sees now that she has room in her heart for all three of you.

...And Sekani, too. It won't be easy, but they've always worked things out in the end, haven't they?

Aww, Jiniki is super adorable. Also is making some really good points. Those scientists are dead, but they clearly took lots of notes... You probably COULD make hybrid babies work.

I think you should take the majicka. Either way you're going to be with Dilia for her whole life if things work out, and if you take it you can be with Sekani for all of his. Not to mention that you can help out with Jiniki. You're obviously a bit better-headed than Sekani or Tayza. Plus, who wouldn't want to live forever WITH SUPERPOWERS? There's nothing that can possibly be a negative if you get the power. Are the reservations you have worrying that you'll live to see her die? Because that might end up happening anyway.

Would you want her to keep going on without you if she were in your place?

If not, finish the bottle.

In my opinion, theres are pros and cons to drinking it. Let's list them, shall we?

Pros:
Get to take care of Dilia when she gets old.
Get to live forever(Although, can be a con.)
Get to live with Sekani and he won't have to watch you get old and die.
Of course, the powers.
Similarly to above, can communicate to others using Magicka.

Cons:
Have to watch family die.
Lose normal talking mostly.
Easy to get drunk. Hard to get sober.
Insanity.

Overall, my recommendation is to drink it. But, talk with Dilia and Sakani and discuss with them what they think on the subject.

I mean, they're opinions are the final decision. If they say to drink it, drink it. If not, don't. If one says yes and one says no, meh.

I think trying to share a diluted solution with Dila is still your best choice. If she wants to do it that is. Less power seems to mean less crazy to cope with. And the crazy is temporary. With out Iliji to keep you messed up you should level out after a day or two of being bipolar. Dila stayed nuts because she had issue going in. Also your motivation and state of mind seen to have an effect on your condition. You wanted power befor. Do this for love. The bird of your life motivated his final transformation with freedom and compassion. Look how he turned out.

Definitely do not drink it =(

So far as I can tell, magicka affects people's personalities rather drastically, often even makes people crazy! Just look at the track record…

Shela/Iiji: Went insane and wanted to take over the world, more or less.

Dilia 1.0: sex hungry and also pretty crazy.

Tayza: We haven't seen non-magicka infused Tayza, really, so it's hard to compare her to her past form, but look at her now! Granted, she's one of the least extreme cases.

Jini: When you guys first met her, she was perfectly fine with just killing you guys. Despite just being a big kid. Do you really think that Magicka didn't affect her inhibitions there?

Delkin: Oooooh boy Delkin. Again, we haven't seen him unmagicka'd, but Delkin's pretty out there.

Jayseph: Poor, poor Jayseph. It's quite likely that part of his insanity was caused by his chimera-ness, but how can you be sure Magicka wasn't a factor? It certainly doesn't look good.

Sekani: We're not sure how much Sekani has changed, it could be very little, and he's certainly the most tame of the major magibeasts we've encountered. You could probably ask him how much his personality changed before magicka, assuming he knows.

And of course, there was when you were powered by Magic Johnson. How could you forget the personality change that caused? You hated what you became! Do you really want to risk that again? You don't know how much of that was Magic Johnson, and how much of it was just magicka in general.

I know it'll mean Sekani having to watch you grow old, and all that other stuff, but if magicka changes your personality so drastically again… you wouldn't be the same person Dilia and Sekani love. And that's an even -worse- thing to do to them. So no matter what you do, don't drink it!
>>
No. 383978 ID: 1b0f2f

Who has the same personality from one day to the next? Sometimes you have to take life by the horns. You don't have to hate what you become any more than you have to hate what you are right now. Are you happy with yourself? Do you ever regret being purged of that power? Of course you do; you're doing it right now. You're just the sort of person who regrets, whether you take it or not. Is that the kind of person you want to be, someone who regrets who they are? If not, then drink and be merry, and have no regrets. You can take this world by storm.

Amiel, lay down what's stopping you from downing that right now. Is it the possibility it'll make you insane? Change who you are? Or that you'll outlive everyone you know who isn't a ki-jaara? That you'll just be generally "different?" C'mon, tell us what's running around inside your head.

That... stuff... is the cause of literally every problem you've had. You've done it once before, sure, but you went a little crazy and power-hungry. You'd just end up hurting the ones you love, and besides... They love you the way you are, not the monstrous way you could be.

Amiel, when you got majicka'd up before, it was under duress, in a horribly stressful situation. It's no wonder you went power-mad, but you did manage to pull back in time.
However, now, you're in a safe place, with friends, and your two beloveds. If you take the majikca, they'll care for and watch over you. Plus, Jiniki can keep an eye on how things are going in the transformation. These are just about the best conditions for taking majicka there have been, for a quite some time.

...And if worse comes to worst, there's always the LIGHT BLUE SOLUTION. It won't come to that, but it's there, just in case.

Those are pretty much the things to consider. She also has to consider that her family might consider her a monster, and she might not ever get to go home again. And yeah, she could lose the ability to talk to anyone who's never had majicka in their system. There's no saying for sure if she could talk normally or not.

Of course, the CURE means she could change her mind later, but since there's only one chance at this, she would rather pretend the CURE doesn't exist so she can be sure of what she wants.

It really sounds like what you want is long life, not necessarily powers.

Talk to Tayza and Jiniki. Tayza has crazy healing powers, and Jiniki has crazy magicka control powers (and knowledge). Between the two of them, maybe they can figure out a way to extend your life (and Dilia's) without you becoming Magibeasts yourselves?

If not, Jiniki is a great person... err, bug to talk about the transformation with. She (with the emotional support of Sekani and Dilia) can probably help guide you into becoming a relatively sane Magibeast. But getting her opinion on things - especially on how hard or easy it might be to retain your personality after transformation - is probably an important thing. You should talk with her before making any final decisions.

If you don't drink it then you risk dying first and leaving behind two sad people whose relationship with each other had been built around you.

If you're blessed with a long life, you could become the last important person inevitably torn from Sekani's life by an uncaring universe, leaving him with the knowledge that should he ever manage to find anyone he loved as much as you that they would be taken from him in the same way.

Alternatively, you could drink up and save Sekani the worry of you leaving him, and still enjoy Dilia's inclusion in your relationship until she passes on and joins those awaiting her in the afterlife.

That's an interesting way of looking at it. If Amiel uses the majicka, then she will prevent Sekani from losing BOTH Dilia and Amiel at around the same time. If she doesn't use it, then she gets to grow old with Amiel... that's the only benefit.

This isn't just about choosing which of the two to grow old with. It's also choosing who has to grow old without someone.

It makes sense to use the majicka in some manner. It benefits the most people.

Also, something I'm not sure of- how long will Dilia live WITHOUT majicka? What are your estimated lifespans right now?

Amiel, whichever way you choose, your family still deserves to know everything that's happened to you; The fight with Iiji, your feelings towards Sekani and Dilia, all of it. Pour your heart and soul out into that letter, recording, or whatever form your message takes. If you ever hope of seeing them again on decent terms, this is your first step, majicka or no.

If you do choose the majicka, you're going to want a record of your transformation. It will show to anyone, that whatever form you take, you are still Amiel. That you chose this yourself, of your own free will. And it should be recorded for posterity anyway. You could very well be the last person to take majicka for a long, long time; Possibly forever.

As for outliving your family, well... It's good odds you would have outlived your mother anyway, and have a high chance of outliving your brother, if he was born before you. However, if you take the majicka, you could be there for your neices and nephews, and their children, and their children's children, and beyond. You wouldn't outlive your family, even with majicka, as long as you're part of it.

It sounds like it's coming down to a single question.

Do you WANT to be an awesome ice monster? Honestly Jiniki's behavior can be easily explained by the fact that she was a little kid. Little kids don't understand death and pain very well, and their mothers have a LOT LOT LOT of influence on their behavior. Tayza and Sekani's changes can be explained by the fact that they became awesome, and thus gained confidence in themselves. Honestly, Sekani barely changed at all. You might change because you'd be stronger, but I doubt majicka will outright change your personality if the process is done right and for the right reasons.

Besides, remember what you did last time, even when you asked for the most corrupting thing- power. Hmm. What if you asked the majicka specifically for some way to help Dilia live longer?

Just out of curiosity, what is Dilia afraid might happen to her?

... because maybe this is something we should worry about for ourselves. And if this is a big deal, let's get Sekani in and ask him if he feels Magicka changed him at all, and if so, whether or not he feels those changes were worth it.
>>

As far as you yourself are concerned, remind yourself of everything previously discussed in >>375578 .

As far as Dilia goes, it's her decision. Think about how she feels about the affair. She has powerful negative associations with it, and if she does take it, she'll have a hard time getting past a constant worry that she might hurt someone again.

But don't let her concerns drag you down. Magicka cannot be responsible for every single change anyone has gone through.
People going power-mad like Shela is a known phenomenon for entirely mundane reasons, and won't be a problem for any of you thanks to the large group of equally strong friends you know you can rely on to check and balance eachother—in fact, your own participation will help ensure that.
Jiniki had been led astray by her own mother, in whom she had ultimate trust—and even then, when her error was presented to her, she realized and accepted this, and modified her behavior accordingly.
Sekani's newfound strength and confidence is regular growth of maturity and a result of having been tested by a challenging situation and having suceeded.
Tayza has simply finally attained what she long wanted, and is no longer forced by physical weakness to be anything but truly herself.
And finally, Dilia accepts her responsibility for her actions. This is part of why she fears returning to Magicka.

You know you can handle this. Even under the influence of Johnson you were able to keep your priorities straight, and simple non-sentient magicka will pose no such threat to your self control.

Dilia is afraid she will repeat her earlier errors and hurt people. She's since overcame the motivations that caused that in the first place, though, so her concerns may well be unfounded. Even so, it's her place to decide; pressuring her to make a decision will just put unnecessary strain on the relationship we only just now finally began to stabilize, and it is better that Dilia be gone after a normal, happy, lifetime, than that she spend centuries with you under duress.

Amiel, you don't have to force the issue. Take half the majicka, if you want to, and leave the other half for Dilia, if she wants it. If she doesn't ever want it, then take the other half yourself. Or not, if you don't want more.

In fact seeing you come through your transformation alright might be a better argument in favor of her joining you than words.

Every one is right pressuring her is wrong. But you really have time on your side here.

You really need to take it yourself what ever happens. Sekani said don't do it for his sake. But it's going to eat at him that he will loose you to age while he's still young. If you really love him then that pain he feels will torment you. If you want to be happy it the only real viable solution.

Seconding/thirding/whatevering the talk about talking with Jini. And Delkin too. As skewed as his opinions may be, that doesn't mean his insight can't be useful. I'm pretty sure those are the only active Kijara still wandering around though. There's been a lot of good advice in the previous comments, but I'd still like Jini's and Delkin's thought's before making a final decision. And, uh, anyone else who is/was a kijara for a signifficant period of time.

As for Dilia… don't press the issue at all. Hug her and say you won't force her at all. And that you'll still need to think about it a little more yourself now that she's declined.

Oh, and if you're going to talk to your parents, you should probably do it before downing Mr. Green-Jar-Turned-Blue-Jar. Preferably via skype or whatever equivalent you guys have, but make sure you guys can see each other. I know how important it is to you to resolve things with your family, so you should do it.

"I don't think they changed because of majicka, not directly," Amiel says. "Jiniki was just a child who believed what her mother told her was right. She's since learned to think for herself. We all go through that growing up. Tayza was always headstrong, from what little she's said about her past. It sounded like they had to tie her down to keep her in a hospital bed. Majicka gave her freedom, and underneath her anger you can tell she's very happy.

"Sekani... I don't think Majicka alone is why he's more confident and brave now. He went through so much a year ago and got stronger for it. I saw him learn and grow into who he is now, and majicka had nothing to do with it."

"Maybe... but I'm not strong like they are. I couldn't handle it again."

"Dilia, you helped me fight Magic Johnson despite how easily I could have hurt you. You could have run and hid, but you stayed with me. You're always helping people and never asking for anything. You've gone through more than any of us, but you don't let it get to you. You're the strongest person I know."

Dilia smiles slightly. "That's sweet of you to say, but--"

"No buts! It's absolutely true."

"And Jiniki would be there to guide you. It's okay if you honestly want to live as a normal Diuban, but if you're afraid you'll hurt someone, don't be. I'll be with you every step of the way, helping you like you helped me."

"Does this mean you're going to take the solution?"

>Drink it, is basically the theme of what we're suggesting here.
"...Yeah. I want to live a long life, helping my people and Zalika. There will be some problems, but... I'll get through them as long as I have you two supporting me."

"I'm glad you figured out what you want. Maybe you're right. Maybe I'm just afraid of hurting someone, and maybe I shouldn't be. But I need time to think on it, okay? I at least want to stay normal long enough to get Zalika established. When we have more people and someone else can be an ambassador, I'll let you know what I decide."

>Don't pressure Dilia
"That's perfectly fine. I don't want to rush or pressure you at all. Just go with what you want and don't worry about anything else, okay?"

"Okay, sweety. Thanks."

>Talk to Jiniki
"Oh, did it work?"

"Yep! Mister robot and I split it! We also made it better so you should be able to use majicka even with half of it~"

"Ice powers, huh? That's awesome. And I'll be able to keep my mind? I'll still be me?"

"You'll still be you as long as you want to be you. I'll help you like I helped mister birdie so everything will be super okay."

"Um, if Dilia decides against it, what would happen if I took the other one?"

"I think you'll mutate a little more and have way better majicka. It should maybe be the same as if you took it all now. Tell me first though okay so nothing goes wrong."

"Okay. By the way, what are the odds of this letting me see colors?"

"Pretty good!"

"You weren't planning on drinking that without us, were you?" Sekani asks. "We're here to support you!"

"We want to help you with this in any way we can," Dilia says.

"We'll get through this with the power of love!"

Dilia chuckles. "I forgot you were so dramatic, Sekani."

"I'm all about the dramatics as long as Tayza isn't around."

This place sure looks familiar.

"Amiel... tell me, what do you desire most? Is it POWER, using Majicka to achieve your every desire? Is it STRENGTH, so that nobody can ever push you around? Or do you want SWIFTNESS, to go faster and further than anyone's gone before?"

Amiel considers her options.
