Rina suffers one of the worst prolonged pains she has ever felt. Her head feels on the verge of bursting and an immense, scorching heat engulfs her. The filling feeling she forgot she had when the Light entered her seems to be dissipating fast. Rina bellows in agony, feeling weak from the pain. She falls onto her knees. Rina can even hear screaming from inside her mind - multiple screams ranging in tone. Slowly they too started to go away along with the filling feeling inside her.

Rina commands constantly in her mind for the Light to escape from her body, but she can not even tell whether or not it is actually attempting to do so or if it is actually, God forbid, DYING.

Eventually everything suddenly stops - the screaming and the horrible pain. Rina collapses onto her stomach, hyperventilating with tongue lolling out. She struggles to get up.

The ram with the strange circular tablet makes a confused face and grunts as he makes thrusting motions with it towards Rina. Glade rushes over and throws his arm down, shouting, "Stop! What are you doing?! She's my friend! Don't you remember her?"

"Your friend? It's hard for me to remember a lot of things, Glade. The slab had a great effect on her, as you can surely tell. She is obviously one of them."

"No, she isn't! I know it!"

"Look, Glade, in these troubling times, you have to learn to let go of things, or it will get to you, and before you know it, you'll become one of them as well. Let's put an end to her meaningless life right here and now."

"No! I won't let you!" Glade says. Rina manages to get back on her knees, coughing hoarsely.

"The spirits are crafty. They can possess a living being now. I've seen it myself," the ram states. Rina's throat feels less tense, and she feels she can speak up now.

"I am not possessed. I accepted the help of its anti-thesis yesterday, about as soon as I saved Glade from the cliff. This was when whatever the fuck is killing everybody was weaker and couldn't posses the living. It's been helping me stun the possessed walking corpses"

Rina tries to summon the Light to see if it is fine. It does not answer her call.

"If there are evil spirits, there are good ones too...and you just attacked a good one," Rina says weakly.

"The slab does affect your so called 'good' spirits too, yes, but you have to be quite ignorant to think there's a good side in this mess."

"What the hell did you do to me?" Rina asks.

"I used this tablet. Like I said, it affects all spirits. You had one in you, and it was fused with your body quite well, I must say. I can tell by your overreaction."

"You better not've k-killed it...I had Darkness in me...but it didn't possess me."

"Didn't possess you? Then it must be trapped within another container in you. Two levels of spirits, huh?" He scratches his chin. "Regardless, there is no good side here."

"It's helping me fight off the Darkness!"

"Why do you call them that? Has it ever crossed your mind that maybe, like you, they are ignorant of an underlying, concealed truth? Do you really believe they may be simply demonic spirits? I've forgotten some things, yes, but everyone who is still alive who suffered through that incident at the forest has as well. I may be getting somewhere with this, however."

"No, miss, I didn't hurt your friend. I have no quarrel with her. You, however..." Glade intervenes.

"It's okay. Mr. Farrow, it's okay. I'm...uh...is it okay if Rina and I could...talk? Outside?" David gazes at Glade and does not respond for several seconds, but eventually nods.

"You watch your back, Glade."

"I will..." the wolf says. With that, Rina and Glade exit the room. Glade is looking very nervous, almost ashamed.

"Rina...the only way you could've found me here was going into my room. I'm guessing you've seen...you know..." Rina nods. Glade sniffs and continues. "I know you're embarrassed and...offended. Rina embraces Glade warmly. Neither say a word for several seconds.

"Oh, Glade. I'm sorry for not noticing the signs...I love you too, and you're my best friend...but understand that I am not in love with you. I'm really sorry. I realize it must be so hard for you, but you don't have to hide your feelings anymore." They retract from the embrace, Rina's hands still set on Glade. Rina smiles. "Just no more of that candid camera stuff, alright?" Glade smiles back, tears forming visibly on her eyes. They hug again.

A little bit afterwards...

"Mr. Farrow isn't a bad person...he's just really paranoid. He was at the forest like you and me, but he must know some things about all this. I don't know if he even wants to come with us to meet the crazy guy," Glade says.

"The sanitarium in Locust Grove. I'm not keen on going back there...but we have no choice. I didn't even know there was a sanitarium nearby." With that, the two go back into Mr. Farrow's office. The ram is just standing there, patiently waiting for them.

"He's someone who, uh, has taken something of significant value to us. He wants us to meet him at the sanitarium in Locust Grove-"

"That's enough. I already have a good idea of who you speak of. I would like for you to explain your little situation, however, and tell me everything you know about all this and your encounters."

Rina does so, spilling out everything they've went through in a somewhat brief manner. David seems to have expressed interest when Rina mentioned the orb.

"The orb you speak of - it's in Harry's grasp?" he asks. Rina nods. "We must help him then. It is with the orb that we can stop this once and for all."

"But how?" Rina questions.

"We'll leave that up to him. He has more knowledge of the happenings and the orb than you think. We cannot lose his trust either, so if he asks for things, play along. Don't get on his bad side. We NEED this, or the spirits will grow too strong for us to handle."

Rina states that since they are willing to put their trust in Mr. Farrow that he do the same for them. He sneers.

"It's not wise to trust anybody at this moment, but you do have a point when you say there is no other option. We'll just have to hope Harry isn't feeling very needy at the moment. The sooner we banish the spirits the better."

> Oh, and we should mention that the... glowing spirit that was inside us was telling us to go find his car at the site of the incident.

Rina tells Mr. Farrow about the Light instructing her to find his vehicle.

"Yes, I was attempting to drive away. You think I was just going to stand around and get killed like everyone else? We were helpless against the rage of the spirits."

"The spirits did all that? But why? Why would they just..."

"The spirits have been bottled up for some time. When you released them, their rage flowed like a torrent, tearing down everything around it. If we dawdle any longer they will be able to destroy an entire city in less than ten minutes or so."

"How do you know all this?" Rina asks.

"I don't know everything. My memory is still foggy, much like yours, but you got the box from somewhere, and that is where we will have to probably go. Like I said, Harry would know what to do and where to go." David adjusts his glasses. "And keep an eye on your little spirit friend. As long as I have this seal and I'm close to you, it won't be able to come anywhere near you. We may even be able to save people this way."

Well, okay, let's clear this building quickly then unless we really need something here. We can ask any questions we need to on the way. Every second is precious. And I'm sure we can get more answers from an impatient Farrow if we're not standing around doing nothing but just asking questions. Lord knows people hate standing around just answering questions.
One of these questions that might be good to ask is if this has happened before, because it sounds like Harry has went through this whole thing before in a much shorter interval with less deaths. Did he like, let it out for a little bit? Does this thing have a cult dedicated to it being free? How the hell do you get all this information? Did this shit come from Mayans or Aztecs, Somalians, Mesopotamians or hell, whatever culture has the most documentation of it?

"Alright, we should probably get going. On the way, you can answer more questions," Rina suggests. Mr. Farrow grunts and nods.

"Very well." With that, he unlocks the front double doors and they leave the building. The night is young. The trio head over to Rasha's vehicle. Rina sees Rasha looking over at them, giving Mr. Farrow a strange look. Rina walks over to the passenger seat window and Rasha lowers it.

"We have the guy Harry wants to see. We can go over to the sanitarium now," Rina says. Rasha gives David one last strange look and shrugs.

"Okay. I have a vague idea of where it is-"

"I'll point you to the way. Let's make haste," David states. Rasha nods sheepishly.

"Alright, hop in then." Rina ambles to the back seats and sees that Leon is still sleeping.

"Did anything happen while I was gone?" Rina asks Rasha.

"Does your brother usually mumble alot when asleep?" he asks. Rina shakes her head. "Hmm. Well, there you go. I mean, everyone does it once in a while, but he's been doing it alot while you were away."

Rina reaches inside and, with great difficulty, props Leon up so his back is resting against the seat. She allows Mr. Farrow and Glade inside the vehicle while she goes to sit in front. They drive off.

"It seems to me like Harry has some history with this. Has he went through this kinda thing before in a shorter interval or something? Like, maybe he let it out for a little bit?"

"Harry was part of a small community in a desolate village. He was quite young when I first saw him. I can't remember my experiences with that place, but I do remember him. Poor kid was always afraid. He always looked hungry and beaten. I didn't take it upon myself to care too much, however. As for his connection with this entire thing, I really don't know, but if I were to guess, he may have been part of this back then, brainwashed and forced to do unpleasant tasks," Mr. Farrow says.

"So, you think a cult did this?" Rina asks.

"It's entirely possible. It's a desolate village. Would it come to much of a surprise?"

"I guess not..."

> "Here's the important question: Could the orb be used against us or to help the spirits?"

"Could the orb be used against us or to help the spirits?" Rina questions. Mr. Farrow scratches his chin and thinks for a few seconds.

"As far as I know, it was very important to the villagers for some reason. One thing I do know about the orb you speak of is that it was crafted, possibly, to be a vessel. It can contain spirits until somebody disturbs it, so perhaps Harry knows a way that we can banish them into it."

Apologize for accusing him of hiding stuff from you. Boy, you need to figure out how to get that oversized foot of yours into your mouth. He doesn't know about the Light and the Darkness, only that spirits have attacked him up to the point he met you. He can apologize to the Light later once it contains more of the Darkness, if it's still even alive to do that at all. No reason to think he knows something specifically about the Light that would make him attack, and then not tell you about it.

I don't know about you, but this disaster seems a bit more than just a bottle of spirits a unknown cult would toy with. Who could control such power as the Darkness? There's no precedent for even controlling a little something!

"Oh my God! Fuck!" Rina screams in surprise. A nearby tree has just whipped one of its branches down upon the vehicle, probably obliterating the engine.

"It just totaled my vehicle..." Rasha breathes out in awe.

Rina hears Leon shout in the back, his musky breath wafting around. "What in the fuck was that? Where the hell are we? What is going on?!"

"Mr. Farrow, what should we do?" Rina asks. He seems to carry a calm posture regardless of what just happened. He adjusts his glasses.

"The spirits seem to have found some way to take control of the trees it looks like. As long as I hold the seal and we stick close together, we won't end up like this vehicle. Let's head out, the sanitarium should be close by now."

With that, everyone gets out of the wrecked vehicle, looking around in constant awareness and huddling close together in a group. Rina can barely make out a building just up ahead, a cloud of fog partially shrouding it. As they walk Rina notices the trees are not doing much else.

"Are they not even going to try to attack?" she questions.

"No. It must take a lot of energy to control such a thing, but by now they must know about our new trick and are trying to find a way around it. We must make haste."

Eventually they do arrive at the sanitarium, which indeed looks somewhat renovated. The gates are open and beyond it, down the trail, Rina and the gang can see someone at the front door.

Janice? Rina waves in a friendly manner. Janice's eyes grow wide and she acts quick. She opens the front door and dashes inside, closing it behind her.

There are no boarded up windows, but as far as Rina can see, every single one seems to have strong metal bars on the inside of them, making breaking the windows pointless.

> call Henry or Janice to unlock it.

Rina dials Harry's number, but he does not answer. She then searches through the contacts list and finds Janice's number. She calls her.

It rings several times.

"Hello?" Rina hears the nurse's voice on the other end.

"Janice? Janice, it's me, Rina! Why did you close the door on us, we're friends!"

"Dear? Dear, is that you?"

"Janice, no, it's Rina."

"Dear, I've missed you so much...I have such great news. The pills...I'm over them. No more pills. I've been shown the light. I am not supposed to be here, but this is where it ends. This is where I can be forgiven...where I can atone."

The room is very large. There's still areas up ahead Rina can inspect, but first she scans the area she is in. There is a door that is barricaded by all sorts of things, such as planks of wood, barrels, and weird metallic objects. It'd take a while to push everything away to go inside. > You guys are silly. Sit down next to her, hold her tightly, and kiss her forehead. Whisper gentle things into her ear, like, "It's alright." Hold her, rub her back, etc for as long as it takes for her to stop crying. Then talk to her. Have an honest conversation about how she needs to find a way to move on, that you and she will never work out. That's what you gotta do.

Rina approaches Glade nervously. Rina was not used to seeing Glade so distressed. It is awfully contagious. She falls onto her knees and crawls over to Glade, tears slowly running down her cheeks. She leans her head forward and gives Glade a gentle peck on the forehead, then embraces her. Even though she is a projection, everything about her feels real. Rina rubs her back and whispers to her, "I don't know what to do, Glade. It can't work out...you and me. You have to find a way to move on. You need to be strong...for me." Glade does not seem to be paying any attention to her, but somehow seems to be calming down. The wolf lets out a big sigh, setting the picture down. She swipes them all away from her and turns away, curling her body as if getting comfortable. She becomes still. Suddenly, everything fades out of Rina's vision.

Rina goes in Rasha's door. She walks into another white void. Rasha is inside, wearing a sleeveless t-shirt and sitting on a stool. He looks rather distraught, his hands resting on a table with a cigarette between his fingers.

"Your rabbit friend seems to be greatly worried for you, for if you were to perish, his life would as well. He has no one outside of you. All his friends mean nothing to him, for they all involve themselves in events he wishes to never take place in. His own parents rarely communicate with him. It is you alone who holds him together, regardless of how strong-spirited he seems to be at times. The thought of marriage - it brings him elation, but it also makes him incredibly nervous. Judging by his terrible past, he is not sure he can carry the responsibilities of such a change in his life. But without you, he will ultimately lack any self-esteem whatsoever.

Yet, I have my own life separate from yours, and you, as well, must have one separate from mine. We are two individuals bonded to each other by our love, and the strength of our relationship comes from the personal strength we carry within ourselves. This bond... It is a chain. A flexible tether that connects us yet gives us freedom of motion. You can't live your life for me; you'll suffocate me and cheat yourself out of all the wonderful experiences there are to have in life. Please, darling, nourish your love, but don't drown it. Darling, do you understand me?" Rina spills it out as lovingly as she can make it. Her realization that she is speaking to these projections make her think her words are somewhat empty, but she can almost feel the strange creature watching her...studying her words.

Rasha lowers his head and shakes it slowly.

"If...I live for her and her only...it will be dangerous. I have to get out there. I have to find something...a hobby...anything. I can't just cling to her all the time. What if she can't stand that? She's strong, and in comparison, I'm not. But I have to be. I have to expand my horizon." Rasha sits up, looking more confident, more radiant. Rina can't help but let a smile widen across her face. Before she knows it, everything fades out again and she is in the black void. She sees Leon's door in front of her. Before going in, she focuses into the void, thinking about Rasha. He never hung out with his friends? His family does not keep in touch? How could she not have known these things. He seemed so content with life as if nothing ever went wrong. "Leon, the first step to improving yourself is facing what you are already. You cannot hope to achieve any sort of success if you spend all your time hiding from your failures, because, by necessity, the process of hiding will cripple your ability to grow. You have to put down the bottle and process your emotions. Let them wash over you and through you--your shame, your guilt, your disappointment. Feel them,, really feel them. The pain is not something to fear, it is merely a report on your state of being, and you've been avoiding it. Only after you've done this and faced yourself, truly acknowledged who you are and where you are right now, can you heal. I believe in you, Leon. Life is long. You can still find your greatness."

Rina walks up to Leon slowly. Approaching him is different - there's some kind of "aura" wafting around and causing Rina discomfort. She attempts to console Leon.

"Leon, listen, I know...times have been hard for you...what with pressure and all of that, but you can't keep hiding from your failures. You know why? If you keep hiding, you won't leave any room to grow in your abilities. The first step to improving yourself is facing what you are already. You have to put down the bottle and really feel all those bad emotions flowing through you...the shame, guilt, and disappointment. You have to go through that pain so that you can face yourself and know where you stand...so that you can heal and get back on your feet."

Leon stands up, bottle grasped firmly in his hand. He paces away from Rina and then throws the bottle at the ground with a grunt of anger.

"It's no fucking use! I screwed up. I screwed up big time. How am I supposed to pull myself together after all the crap I've done. I've failed everyone. No one's going to care about me. No one's going to take me seriously. I told Rina I'd do good. I told her."

Bullshit. It's too small to even take up an inventory space.
I can tell you wear a bra, and you don't get far being a female without learning how to use those as tertiary pockets. It doesn't even need to be on the inventory screen just consider it a novelty item.

If not bra, the slip it in the backpack, it'll fall to the bottom of the mess.

In any case, show it to Glade, tell her there's a trail of them leading to a door behind you.

Also, I noticed a notepad and a cup of pens and pencils on the desk. If they are regular notes, just write, "Rina reporting, mothman inside seal, light still missing, found pills, found glade, rina over and out." and just leave it on the desk.
If they are stickynotes, do the same but take the sticky-notes pad with you. Leaving notes could be useful.

Also get that key, slip it in the backpack it's as small as a pill and you don't need to have it immediately available, then read that note, read the other note, check the brochures for info, check the drawers for anything (if locked, kick it once for good measure), punch gladeglass thingie, and then check to see how thin the wall is, it could just be drywall and old plywood, which means a bit of Muay Thai elbow work should do the trick, and ask Glade if there are any door in or out of her room that go this way, also get a good look into that room, also show her the pill and mention you saw them on the floor.

All those horrible feelings torturing me for the longest time - all that came from the love I had for you. It's so strange, but Rina...I think it's all over now. Of course, if the Moth spoke truth, it won't matter in the end, and everything will revert. So this is good for now; we can fix things naturally later... if you are wise enough to recognize that things need fixing, without being able to remember it.

Anyway, tell her you're glad she's not in pain anymore. Ask her to stay put and you'll try to find a way to get to her, or get her out or something.

"Glade, I'm very happy for you...but it's strange. In the dream, did you happen to see anything weird? Did you see this dark, half-man, half-moth creature?" Glade looks puzzled.

"I...no? No, I don't know of any creature like that..." Glade ponders on it.

I find it odd how they have such incredible wounds and are quite willing to aggravate the injury by doing things like this, yet you can physically beat them down to defeat them.

Anyway, I think you should avoid a fight for now- we haven't made a huge amount of noise here yet and your only silent weapon is a knife. I don't think we should get in a knife fight... unless these things tend to be extremely uncoordinated?

> Keep heading towards the top, but ask him to explain why he thinks Mr. Farrow is the cause of all of this.

Rina makes her way into the stairwell and ascends while still speaking to Harry.

"Harry, why do you think Mr. Farrow is the cause of all this?" she asks. Harry scoffs and does not speak for a moment.

"David Farrow. He was the one who offered them the items. With those items, new ideas sprung...their little plans were all coming together so smoothly, as if it were fated. You're probably wondering who "they" are. Well, they are the very madmen who organized the ritual! The ritual to bring forth Nysindra!"

"Nysindra?"

"Yes, the demoness. They took so many people...oh...so many people. In the end I was all alone. It was all up to me to complete the ritual, but of course I did not want to. I didn't want to see Her rise. I ran away from it all, but I was followed the whole time. Followed by that treacherous Black Cloak. It was the Seal that had protected me from him."

"Black Cloak?" The first thing that comes to Rina's mind is the Moth.

"Yes. The Seal repelled him, but he was different from any ordinary spirit. With enough exertion of energy, he could break the force that pushes him back, but I was vigilant. I never succumbed. I didn't want to get involved in any of that horrible mess anymore!" He takes a breath and continues on.

"Mr. Farrow is a greedy man. He stole the Seal while I was living in the hospital. He wanted to return to the village to take back the orb used to contain their souls. That's it! That's where you came in, Rina. He disguised it as a geocaching trip."

Rina stops in her tracks, holding her breath, a cold, spine-tingling pang of shock coursing through her chest. Somehow what Harry said opened a door in her mind, a door that revealed a new and gruesome truth.

It fascinated, disturbed, and greatly confused her, but it was such an amazing find she couldn't help but be ecstatic. She returned to her camp, showing Mr. Farrow her findings. Mr. Farrow seemed to be pleased when she uncovered the strange box, but then he instructed her sternly not to open the box. Rina was overcome with curiosity. She wanted to take a quick peek what was inside. Unlocking the thing was a puzzle in itself, but Rina managed it. She got Glade and together they would reveal what was inside. She opened that box, and that's when the horrible incident occurred. The releasing of the Darkness.

Jesus Christ. Holy fucking shit. This was it. The Darkness wasn't screwing around. They were right...Rina DID cause all this. Is the Darkness this "Nysindra" Harry talked about? She disobeyed Mr. Farrow's warning. She wasn't sure what he was even going to do, but if she hadn't opened the damn thing, this probably wouldn't have happened. All those poor people that accompanied her on the trip. They would be alive if it weren't for her. Glade wouldn't have had to go through what she did either. It is her fault. All her fault. The clash of emotions causes Rina's body to stiffen. She leans against the wall, the tears flowing through like a faucet. She is not even aware that she drops her phone. Rina, for gods sake, it's not your fault. I mean, come on, i get the movie comparisons might be tiring, but do you personally think the people who unlock these types of things in fiction awful people? Those people who have no idea what they have in their hands. Is ignorance truly the cause of fault here? It was an innocent puzzle box, Rina. It looked fun, it looked exciting. You practically already knew the answer yourself this entire time, that you opened this box, that you let it out. Simply because you just know remember the exact moment and everything that happened you finally believe it's your fault?

Face it, you didn't do fucking jack shit, you got incapacitated and that THING murdered everyone. Here, in the mortal world, do we blame the witnesses if they see a murder or rape and do nothing to stop it? No, we get their fucking testimony and have them help the law book the fucker. What about the CO who gets knocked out by an escaping prisoner? Is it HIS fault he escaped? The Darkness killed these people. It's the murderer, the rapist and the prisoner. You're merely the witness, the CO. You're just a bystander, Rina.

If it's any mortal's fault, it's Farrow's fault at most because of his foreknowledge and maybe greed, I dunno, I think Harry's confused a little from being traumatized and still doesn't understand much of what's going on. He just fears all these unworldly things and thinks he can run from them. He barely understands anything here. But still, Farrow knew enough about the box to warn you. But the faggot apparently just let some ignorant, young student be in charge of the prison of one of the greatest threats to the mortal realm without even telling her "hey, if you open that, we could all die, so please, don't open that.", but he didn't tell you that. He just let you have that damn thing despite fully knowing the risks if you got curious and even took a peek. You don't let someone handle an important device they know nothing about, you don't fucking hand a plutonium container to an engineering intern and say "Oh it's a box. Don't open it." You just fucking don't. But he did. Hell, he probably wanted someone to open it, he wanted it to chase YOU. And so did Mr. Farrow for setting you up, and warning you with the hope that your curiosity would be too much to resist (if Henry is in fact telling the truth.) And so did Glade for helping you open the box. And so did the cultists for putting all those souls in the orb in the box. That still doesn't explain why you have to die for the darkness to be free. > Rina, for gods sake, it's not your fault. I mean, come on, i get the movie comparisons might be tiring, but...

Right. She was ignorant. There was no way she could've known about it. She did not even think such a terrible thing would have happened if she just let curiosity get the best of her and just had a little glimpse. Rina is suddenly angry - angry at Mr. Farrow for all this. Then again Harry could be a lying scumbag psycho, but somehow his words...they sounded so genuine to her. It all made sense, clashing with her memories, although there is still a lot to be learned. Rina just knows it.

> Also, if it wasn't going to be you that opened it, it was gonna be someone else. Maybe someone less capable even, and then the entire world would be under the mercy of this Darkness.

*SIGH* Who knows? All Rina knows is what's done is done, and there is nothing she can do about it except put an end to all this. But how? Fucking how? She does not even know who to trust here.

> and mr farrow could of not been vague as shit. he was GLAD you found the box. he WANTED it. he probably thought he could find a way to control it.

Control it? The Darkness? It makes sense. Harry just said Farrow wanted to get the orb back. What better way to do so than to divert the Darkness's attention toward her? She found the box again in the police station, but left it there. She could've kept the thing, but now Harry has it. Was the orb always in the box? It's clear now why Mr. Farrow even wanted to tag along. Both he and Harry have a mutual intention, and that is stealing a special item from the ritual from one another, and Harry is the victor it looks like. He now has both the Orb and the Seal. If he truly wants to stop this from happening, he would probably have the knowledge to do so since he's apparently been in the vicinity of his crazed populace for God knows how long.

> That still doesn't explain why you have to die for the darkness to be free. It seems just fine and dandy all by itself.

Rina realizes wherever she went, death and destruction followed, sometimes getting ahead of her. When she opened the box, perhaps the Darkness needed another vessel to cling to? Something more mobile? Or maybe the Darkness themselves are ignorant? Who the hell ARE they, really? Nysindra's cohorts?

> Alright, Harry seems to know a hell of a lot about what's going on. Did we ever ask him about the glowing being that approached us, that we called Light? We should ask him what Nysindra looks like.

Rina grasps the fallen phone in her hand. Her hand is trembling, her sweat cold. She hesitantly brings it up to her ear and speaks.

"Harry?"

"Rina, I thought I lost you there!"

"Harry, do you anything about some kind of glowing being? It took an anthro form. We called it 'Light.'"

"Um..." Harry does not speak for a minute or so. "Rina, I don't think I'm familiar with a 'glowing anthro.' Maybe it's Black Cloak? I don't know."

"No, I don't think it's Moth." Rina rubs her forehead, feeling heat slowly pour from her fur. "What does Nysindra look like?"

"I've only ever seen drawings. I don't think I've ever seen what She actually looks like, but by God I don't even want to."

"Well what do the drawings show?"

"It's hard to tell. No one in our village was particularly an artist, but it looked like she had these long, spidery, bony legs and the ugliest mug you could ever imagine..."

> We saw that before. It attacked us in the bathroom, and assaulted us in that dream, where we fought back. Hang on, Rina, you said 'we' called it Light. That's an odd way to put it. Further explain to Harry that this being seemed to have been helping you fight Nysindra's minions, the husks, and Mr. Farrow used the seal on you which banished it. Rather painfully.

"I think I've seen that...your description fits it pretty well." Rina takes a breath, remembering back at the hospital bathroom when she encountered it. That was Nysindra? "Harry, the Light has helped us in fighting Nysindra's minions and the husks that have been chasing us. Mr. Farrow used the Seal and banished her out of me...and it was very painful..."

"That's what Black Cloak does. He observes the earth we stand on, making sure the supernatural don't break through and clash with - Oh shit. Oh no. Rina, I have to talk later. She's here." With that, he hangs up.

"Harry!?" Rina says loudly. She runs to the top floor and goes through the door, emerging into a room with a corridor at the other side, forking left and right. Which way should she go?

Huh? So, Black Cloak could be Light or it could be Moth. Maybe they work together. Next time we see either of them we should ask about the other.

We DO know that Light was repelled by the Seal. Moth may have been, but I'm not sure.

As for which way to go, check the sign. Go left by default if it is not helpful at all.

It is not a lighter, but the small bottle of unknown liquid she found in the basement. Rina takes a close look at the clear liquid and all around the bottle, but there's no label or anything.

"What a great idea, huh? Letting some random, curious college student keep hold of some weird box carrying unimaginable horrors without telling her a damn thing about it. Did you even know what you were getting into?" Rina growls.

"Those horrors were not yours to release at the time. Who told you this? Harry? I bet you're sided with him as well, hm? We don't know if he has allies, and we don't know if he has strange powers like what Light gave you.
The black goo sealed Janice in, but what's to stop it from unlocking the door for him?
What if one of your friends comes here looking to help? He could easily convince them to let him out of a cell, and then he would once again be able to muck everything up.

Besides that? He's an unrepentant murderer who enjoyed what he did. The justice system is meant to keep innocent people from being punished and find the people responsible for crimes, as opposed to mob justice where a whoever is convenient is punished to slake a need for vengeance.
Punish the guilty in accordance with their crimes and protect the innocent. That is the core of justice.

We remember what he did. He has admitted to it. His only regrets are that you lived and his plans didn't work. His guilt is known beyond a shadow of a doubt, and there are no mitigating factors for leniency.

In practical terms, he has to die to ensure he doesn't have a chance to escape and cause more damage. In terms of justice, he deserves to die.

Mr. Farrow made his decisions, and he definitely deserved punishment for the horrid thing he's done. It may not have been Rina's choice to end his life...but it's too late to think on it now. Rina gathers herself up. She still needs to find her friends...and Janice.

Rina presses forward after covering Mr. Farrow's body with some of the clothes in the bin. Thankfully, Rina does not encounter anything else as she makes her way to Block 6. Inside the Block 6 chamber, Rina finds a small room in the corner at the end of the block. She goes into it.

Janice is there and, fortunately, still alive and stirring. She looks like she's asleep though.

Rina puts her weapon away and nudges Janice gently. She doesn't wake up at first, but a couple more nudges do the trick. Janice's eyelids snap open suddenly, her eyes dilating. She looks dreadful, almost like she was sleep-depraved.

"Alex? Alex?" Janice says in a panicked quickness, her eyelids twitching. She furrows her brow and stares with disappointed realization. "Who are you?"

It appears the bottle is filled with painkillers. Rina is not sure how much Janice consumed, but a lot is spilled out of the bottle, which is toppled on its side.

"Janice, it's Rina! You remember? You took care of me in the hospital."

"R-Rina? What...what are you doing here?" the dog asks.

"We came to meet with someone. Listen, my friend, Glade, is downstairs. She's trapped, and we have to stick together. Can you focus?" Janice blinks a couple times, looking confused, but then she lowers her head, looking away from Rina.

"I'm not going anywhere, Rina," Janice says. "This is my stopping point."

"Janice?!" Rina steps forward, aiming to make Janice vomit so that she doesn't die from overdose, but Janice knows exactly what she is doing. Rina thrusts her hand out, only for Janice to catch it and hold it still with a surprisingly tight grip.

"I didn't overdose, Rina. In fact, I don't take these anymore. The pills...they won't do anymore good. I'm done with them."

"You know..." Rina says, anger starting to well up in her, "you didn't become a nurse to sit on your ass while people die!"

"People dying? Where? I don't see anyone else! My world is spiraling out of control. I can't help anyone if I can't help myself!" Janice yells.

"If you want to be selfish and just off yourself, go ahead do it after we stop this fucking apocalypse! Right now I need your help, Janice! You need to get up and lay everything aside."

"I found this in the police station just near the hospital. The one you worked in," Rina explains.

"It was...it was to be...oh no." Janice starts to shake. "Why? Why would you give me this? I...I wanted to...." Janice then looks like she's forgotten something. She drops the ring box and quickly folds her arms around her stomach, grimacing in pain.

"Janice, you're wounded! I know it might make you uncomfortable...but could you just...take off the jacket real quick? I need to see it...I need to make sure it's not something bad." Janice stirs around, obviously uneasy, but to Rina's relief, she complies.

Janice zips open her jacket. There's a hole in her shirt, the wound peeking through it shyly. Rina carefully lifts up her shirt, Janice wincing in pain as she does so.

There is a gash on her belly. She's been stabbed, the wound leaking blood.

"Do you know how deep the wound is?" Rina asks Janice as she slowly rolls her shirt back down. Janice zips up her jacket and sighs, keeping a hand pressed on her wound.

"He stabbed me. It went in pretty deep I'm sure," the dog mutters.

> Pick her up and carry her to Glade. If we're lucky there's still a first aid kit in the security room.

"Janice, I have to carry you back to Glade. Maybe we'll find a first aid kit along the way."

"Carry me? No...no, I can walk. I will just slow you down. But don't carry me. That's not safe..." Janice slowly lifts herself up. Rina quickly goes over and picks up the ring box. She then walks over and aids Janice. They place their hands on each other's shoulders.

Together they walk out the room, heading to where Rina had come from.

"Janice, what are you even doing here?" Rina asks.

"I had to get...him. I had to make him pay. I heard the news of the police station. It was demolished, my love being one of the people inside. I saw the crazy bastard being taken to the station not long after I met you. He must've done it. He must've killed my love. He has a horrible face. I can't stand it. I just had a strong feeling he was responsible..." Janice explains.

"Are you talking about Harry?"

"Yeah, I think that's his name."

"Janice, it's dangerous to be walking around here, let alone outside!"

"I know. I've been seeing other awful things. Sometimes I think to myself perhaps Harry is doing that too. Ugh!" Janice stops and groans in pain, bending over slightly. After several seconds, they move on.

"I definitely can't say he is trustworthy," Rina says, "but he seems to want to stop all this craziness. I don't think it's him that's causing this though."

"Hmph," Janice simply scoffs, looking off to the side.

Admit that you're the one that started this, accidentally. What happened at the police station was what happened at the cabin you found. A big thing is hunting you. Destroying places that you've been previously, especially buildings. A ram who organized a geocaching search tricked you into locating the object that held the big thing and opening it, without telling you what was in the box or the consequences of opening it. He's dead now though.

Harry's just insane from everything that's happened. It's apparently happened before to him, but in less extreme measures. And he doesn't have the mental fortitude or support structure you have to keep yourself from going nuts like he has.

Harry is literally nothing but an insane man now. There's nothing left but to think about him how you personally thing of other insane people. Pity, anger, whatever, but he didn't start this. Now being pissed at him for stabbing her? Yeah, totally allowed. That was a dick move.

"And...it wasn't Harry who caused that building to get destroyed. It was a man named Mr. Farrow. He held a little geocaching trip. Glade and I went along with it, and I happened to find the box that held those...things. The Darkness. Mr. Farrow never told me what was inside but ordered me not to open it. I guess this was my fault too...because my curiosity got the best of me. I opened the box...and then all this shit happened. I'm sorry, Janice."

Janice doesn't seem to respond, still looking away. Rina thinks the only reason the dog is still grasping onto her is for the sake of not helplessly being sprawled on the ground bleeding to death again. Blood drips slightly between Janice's fingers. It's silent, and Rina feels an overwhelming aura from Janice. Rina knows she's trying to hold back bitter anger, trying not to lash out.

"Harry's just nothing but an insane man now," Rina says.

Together Rina and Janice finally make it back to the room Glade is in, luckily avoiding any encounter along the way.

"Rina!" Glade says behind the glass. Rina feels her chest swell with relief. "Who is this?" Glade asks.

"Oh, this is Janice. She was my nurse back at the hospital. She'll help us. Janice, do you know how to get this door opened?" Janice takes a moment to respond, her eyes fixated on the table. She leans over and presses something on its side.

"You didn't know about this?" the dog asks. The door slides open with impressive speed. Rina just stares, almost speechless.

"Er, ah, no."

"Well, you probably still wouldn't have been able to open it. It's a special sort of button that detects print patterns on one's finger," Janice explains.

We have spoken with the Black Cloak; it takes a good person to solve this mess.

I'd amputate his index finger off, he'll never be able to fire another gun in his life, but still'd be useful if he cooperated.
However we do that depends on the tools we'd have at the time and how'd we'd be able to get him to cooperate after.

I'm not going to feel too bad about what happened to Janice, it sounded like she's in the same boat as Harry with her own psychosis and dangers to deal with. We can tell she's hardly innocent herself from this event, still didn't deserve a fatal shot, but well... she got problems. I got the feeling she'd probably would have her own claim of self-defense if she was the one with the gun and Harry with the knife wound.

No. Self defense is based entirely on the person being a threat. She was unarmed, could barely stand, and he had a gun. All the threat factors were in his favor, not hers.

That thing he just did? That was murder. Premeditated murder, in fact.

Aim your gun at his back and tell him to drop the gun, put his hands on his head, and make no sudden movements. If he fails to do even ONE of those things then put a bullet in him. In his spine, if you can; partial paralysis would keep him him under control but still able to answer questions.
