I couldn't set off a pressure plate at all, the holes are just small natural indentations in the rock. There is one tile that doesn't have any in it though. right in the intersection.

We get back to the room with the glowing mushrooms, where I treat his wounds, his leg is broken pretty badly, I'll try to keep him from moving around until I can find something to splint it with. He tells me we are in an old dwarven fortress, and that we can't get out the way he came in, because he set off a trap and closed the path off. That's also how he got injured. He points out the center tile on the hallway I was just in, and laughs when he looks at me. He laughs a lot. He says the "Kobolds" call him The Flesh Tearer, and that he's a terrorist. I'm not sure what all this is about. His real name is Heshka

There are more rooms down the archway, I can go in a few of them. Most of the stuff around here is rusted or rotten away, but I find some peices of armor that look like they're in good condition, this really really heavy hammer that I can't drag anywhere, and a solid metal crossbow with some bone bolts in a box wrapped in oil cloth. There are some bottles of stuff, and a bag of golden discs. (final update for tohight)

OK, there's a river or something around here, that water has to come from somewhere. These levers operate those doors to flood that room for some reason, and the other one drains it out into the chasm. I don't know what the other four levers do, but I can assume one of them floods everything with lava. I want to avoid that one.
