We're about a third of the way to a Clan Shigu fort. The Kishir Matadia mountains are to the west, we're currently in the eastern fringe of the Clan Shigu lands of the Tatola. The fort we're going to was a major headquarters back in the Reono-Shigu war a few years ago, luckily we weren't all that effected. Shigu scouts are known to patrol the area, recently it's been a group from the Nira tribe. I've run into them a few times before in my travels.

Ikar and Hatch don't appear to be here. Either they haven't gotten here yet or they've left already.

Aruuchi is very clearly growling as he walks around the area. He finally emerges from behind one of the tents and very plainly says "Javinn and Kishi are dead."

If I remember right, Javinn is... well, was his wife's sister, but I don't remember who Kishi is.

There are some older sergal tracks and several fresher agudner tracks everywhere. I can quite clearly make out their hooves where the grass is thinner.

The first priority should be figuring out where the kids are.

Aruuchi says that the carving is a mark they use to let each other know of the route to take back to the fort in case of emergencies like this. Specifically, this one is used for some nearby ruins. He says that the ruins contain a tunnel that leads straight to it. Ikar knows the way to the ruins and the tunnel, if she sees this marking she'll lead Little One to us there.

There's no way to tell who took what.

He reassures me that these ruins in particular aren't haunted, though it's been a while since he last went through them.

He says we need to get moving.
