As soon as Simon touches the tablet, the computer turns on. He then creates a pretty awesome drawing.

The buttons are simply inscribed with the 22 letters of the Cadmus Alphabet, and the Shift and Enter keys. Nobody really uses Cadmus anymore except the Kiln guilds. It makes them feel sophisticated and the Kiln can be rather pretentious like that.

Simon then peeks through the heavily tinted door window into the room to the right. There are a few lockers on the far end, but the room appears to be flooded in green goo and some rather insidious looking fumes are escaping from the barrel.

Simon swears that the guildmembers are just using this stuff just to inconvenience him.

Simon has obtained the WELDING TORCH. He also examines the trapezoid. He remembers Rob Oddard's book on the rocket, and realizes this must be one of the fins of the rocket. He has no clue what they are doing scattered all over the building.
