This is a patreon-funded quest that takes place in a alternate universe (a pornoverse) during the Belenos Sim Interlude of Unnatural Selection. It will be NSFW. And non-canon.

>"It'll wake, I tell you!" Alison hears a voice outside of the robotic shell.
>"Whatever, Loviro." a female voice answers.
>"It just needs a moment to warm up, you'll see!"

Alison, or one of her few thousand allies also within the robot, may take control. Currently, there is no one in the controller's seat, and so the robot appears dormant.

She has just learned of her objective in this simulation: to destroy the Sapphire Emperor before a rival robot does the same.

Yes make a pass at Polatt in the sluttiest way possible. See how he reacts.
>>

Ask Polatt where his two buddies from when you first met are, you owe them something. Then if he asks what, you flash him. In both senses. Then go to the strip club and observe to learn how to do it before trying it yourself. Be sure to watch and try both male and female stripping!

Also look up some horn mark meanings so that we now how to accessorize appropriately for whatever image we want to project.
>>

Yeah, let's see how Polatt feels. Proposition him and flash one boob to start with.
>>
No. 725043 ID: 90f3c0

Polatt definitely needs some relief after you've made him listen to you screw random people all night long. But make sure you let him know that you actual appreciate him, and you're not just trying to sleep your way to the top of every criminal organization on the planet.

We're still in the shopping area, wait until we're in the car or something before teasing him. Flash him, and then ask him if listening to you all day has him wanting some help. Or, wait until you got to the strip club, watch the performers for a while, then ask him if he'd help you practice doing it yourself. Then once you've done that, you can ask him if he'd like help. Then go try actual stripping for money once you've done that. Depends how much time you want to take.

As to things to do on a broader basis, something to consider: back when we woke up, we found out that Loviro had a bunch of caches of stuff he couldn't get to, because the building was occupied by a brothel, which requires EIN registration and screening to get into, both as an employee and a customer. But you know, I bet the Dead Batteries or the Lollipop Guild have people who are registered, to front for them. If we could find someone trustworthy, with the right equipment, we could maybe hire them to go in and search the stuff out? We don't need to tell them about Loviro, once we had information from him on what's in the caches we could just tell them we know where some scientist once hid a bunch of his stuff a long time ago.

Or we could even just not tell them that, just say "there's a hidden box in the brothel from before it was a brothel, get it for me and I'll pay you". Loviro probably put them in locked containers, anyway, so we can claim we're retrieving it for a "collector" who's the only one who knows how to open them. Something like that. Might have to build up our own trustworthiness rep, first.

>Are there any drawbacks to EIN registration?
From what Scanner understands, there's a big paper trail for legally buying modules and doing other activities requiring EIN registration. At the same time, the registered jetal also becomes eyes and ears of EIN. EIN won't necessarily come down hard on a jetal going 80 km/h on a road with a 75 km/h speedlimit, and it almost seems to encourage crime lords fighting other crime lords.

The biggest issue, Scanner thinks, is that EIN may recognize and record when people have sex with whom, and due to the stigma of it, a lot of people wouldn't want this recorded. As a result, they want non-registered partners. Between that and the scarcity of those kinds of partners, staying unregistered with EIN may allow for a lot of valuable, easy missions.

"I'll go to the stripper club." Unity says, to which the both of them enter Polatt's car.

"You know, I'm pretty sure pimps are supposed to sample the goods?" Unity says, flashing her chest at him.
>"That's what the mission was about. You passed the samping."
"I really do want to show my appreciation for how much of a help you've been, though."
>"You helped us too, you know. Sorry, girl, I like to get to know my partners well before doing anything like that. And getting to know someone takes longer than a night."
"I understand! Are you sure I'll do well in the strip club?"
>"We ain't sending you to the ritz to start off with, Unity. You'll do well cause you'll be in a seedy place where people'll be happy to see a girl with a butt on stage. A place where no one's gonna be able to tell that you've got a bio module. You gonna pretend to be biological?"
"Is that bad?"
>"Nah, people like biologicals down there. It's a good front. You've gotta have a stage name though. You wanna take pole dancing, or you wanna take back room services? Both pay about the same."

Could we split our time between both?

Let's try dancing first, it might be worth practicing a skill.

>>725165
Might need to turn down the luminosity the next time you flash someone. ...unless we're trying to blind someone who's been staring at our tits.

>You've gotta have a stage name though
Looks like we'll need another identity. This one for low class stripper / selling ourself. Tweak the face and horn configuration a little (just so any clients here won't recognize you off the job), the body shape we've got already should be fine.

Roxy?

No. 725184 ID: 2a783e

>>725173

I think you need to be a higher class stripper than we're going to be to have a stage name like that. We just need some short, stupidly sweet name. Though, a gemstone name might still be good. It's probably still vaguely taboo (in a good way, in this context) to associate names like that with the sex industry, we just need to avoid the names of actual emperors.

Maybe "Pearl"? Obvious connotations, as well as the more subtle idea of being an "organic gemstone".
>>
No. 725185 ID: b412df

I don't think that'll work, too important sounding for a low class stripper name. Probably should avoid near name dropping our target.

"I'll go under the name 'Roxy.'"
>"Got it." says Polatt.

There isn't a standard uniform to use for the strip club in question, so Unity uses what she bought. There's only a couple other girls who seem to have shifts, so after she's shown around, briefly introduced to the manager and some of the staff, she takes a free pole and attracts an audience.

Nothing eventful happens aside from a few customers getting grabby, which Unity wouldn't mind if she were only servicing one person, but a bouncer is around to keep people from getting too unruly.

Although it's difficult to tell while only doing this for a handful of hours hours, it seems like Roxy makes around 2.5k per hour. Considering there are 100 hours in the day, she could make 250,000 dollars per day if she did non-stop stripping, which is more than most people were expecting, although clearly not as much as she made doing jobs.

"Hey, slut!" someone stuffs a 1000 into her skirt. "I'll pay you 50 grand for a private session. This place has no good back rooms, but I've got a comfy van."

Unity notes the bouncer, a robot with D rank modules, lazily shaking his head.
>>

No. That's a giant warning sign if I ever saw one. We may only look like a biological, but being potentially kidnapped tends to put a dampener on things.
>>
No. 725229 ID: a075ba

There's no way his van is comfier than the back rooms here, he's up to something.

Granted, we could probably handle whatever scam he's pulling, but the Dead Batteries run this place, and it might cause trouble for them.

Sorry, babe, club rules. If you wanna get comfy with me, it'll be in the less comfy back rooms.

Turn the biological sense module on him. Can we tell anything about his intentions or if he's lying?
>>
No. 725230 ID: 211d83

Comfy van you say? Why I can't see anything wrong with that idea!

Yeah tell the creep that you would love to enjoy his company but rules are rules and its the private rooms or nothing. And Scan him with both your scans while you are chatting.

(although I sort of want to go with him to see what happens.)
>>
No. 725231 ID: 398fe1

Personally I would take him up on it, and if he tries anything, work him over with Jetal strength. The 50k is ours and we can toss him in jail to boot.
>>
No. 725233 ID: b2db3f

We are currently in organic pretending mode right? So remember that normal people can't strip all day every day. Pole dancing is tiring work.

Should probably vary our activities every few hours and avoid doing this for long stretches unless we want people to know we are jetal. After a bit we should transfer to the back room services.

Throwing all caution to the wind you should totally go get van raped by the creepy guy. I can see no downside to his offer.
>>
No. 725239 ID: 3cc68c

Sneak out with the guy and find out how comfy his van is. What could go wrong?
>>
No. 725245 ID: 2a783e

Don't cause trouble for the DBs, turn him down nicely by smiling and regretfully saying you'd like to but you're not allowed leave the building during work time, or something like that. If there's something about the official back rooms he doesn't like, though, then perhaps if he talked to the staff about it, they could find the two of you somewhere he likes better?

I'm wondering if, like, the back rooms here have cameras and he wants total privacy, or something. He could negotiate turning the cameras off for a price.
>>
No. 725246 ID: bfb318

Scan him, it could be a JETAL TRICK. Or if he tries anything you could just destroy him and come right back in.

Scanning him and reading his body language, he seems to have a decent amount of adrenaline going through him. It's the sort that may just involve asking a girl he likes into a back area. It doesn't appear that he is lying, either, about the van or the money. However, given the context while he's on edge, and a few other minor inflections in his language, it's a clear bet that he's up to no good. Scans continue, since Roxy can't deny she's mildly curious about just how nothing can go wrong.

His body appears primarily organic, but with some physical optimization and artificial eyes, although the eyes don't appear remarkable other than providing sharper resolution. Overall, he appears harmless, provided there's no hidden surprises.

"Is there something you don't like about the back rooms, babe? We may be willing to make accomodations if they're not to your liking."
>"Just too formal, you know? Makes it seem more like a business transaction than something personal." he says, the scanner giving signs that he's rehearsed that line before.

The rehearsed bit makes this even more of a warning sign, it's a unknown situation, he could have a imitation module as well.

At the same time, we're most equipped to stop him from doing this to anyone else, but is it our place to do so?

If we're going to do it, we need some way of alerting the bouncer that, yes, we're playing along, but we'll be ok because I'm a disguised jetal. Pinging off the privacy module, or did we get the guard's comm code during the introductions?

I'm still against the idea, but mentioning things that could be useful in case we play along.
>>
No. 725264 ID: 0a94cb

It is a business transaction, sorry dude. If he wants something personal, he should organize a private prostitute privately and go to a hotel or something instead of lurking around a strip joint inviting women to his van.

Going outside and subduing him if we have to will cause problems for the DBs. It's bad image if it looks like they can't protect their girls, or that patrons might get surprise attacked by hidden jetals, or that right outside their club is a dangerous area. It might even put the girls here at risk, if people take it as tacit admission they can take it if they get rough.

Don't change your answer just cause he asked twice. Back rooms or no go.

If he's done is before, he could be some sort of serial offender. Image search him online and see if he has a bounty or criminal record.

You don't want someone like that messing with the other girls. Contact Polatt, maybe you can set up a trap without revealing that you're secretly a jetal.

Roxy texts Polatt, letting him know the situation. She also runs a search on him. He does have a record of petty crime, including assault and thievery, but nothing involving kidnapping. He's had a bounty in the past and served time for it, but has none at the moment.

Polatt texts back.
>"Like I said, seedy place. Never seen him here before, but we get worst scumbags with cash to burn that the city's got. Don't worry about it reflecting bad if you go and beat him up and turn him in, cause we can make an example out of him and have you let everyone know you were bait for a trap. Otherwise, we'll just kick him out if he keeps up his charming personality."

Roxy did start leaning against going to his van, but there is now a concern as to his rehearsed sounding answer about the back room. While it is possible that he rehearsed this in the mirror this morning and never approached a girl like this before, his creep vibe is only increasing.

Meanwhile, Loviro replies to her text she had sent out earlier, telling him she'd be coming back in the morning.
>"I'm awake. Don't worry about waking me, or disturbing me during breakfast. You're welcome back at any hour."

Roxy answers the creeper.
"For that much money, we can make a back room look just like your van."
>"No go." he says, slapping Roxy's butt with a wad of cash. "Final offer, girl."

A) Begin the chants of Vigilante Justice. See what happens in a van.
B) Roxy is a biological stripper, not a secret stripping crime fighter. Finish up a shift, go to Loviro.

The bouncers are alerted to the trap, and a tracker is placed underneath the van, as well as another bouncer hired to take out the van if it tries going anywhere.

There is a chance that he's just creepyweird about an innocent act, so Roxy will hold off on any vigilantism until he's proven guilt.

The van opens up, Roxy and the creep enter through the back, the van doors shut, and he immediately slaps duct tape over Roxy's mouth.

>"Ohhhh geeeez." says Succubus. "What a surpriiise."

Maybe he is just into kinky stuff. Duct tape over the mouth is not much in the way of bondage.

Unless it gets dangerous see where this goes.

If we want to freak him out immediately:
Deactivate Bio mod. Twist head around 180 degrees and tell him he's been a very bad boy. Through the duct tape.

However, I want to really sink him. Let's get him on as many charges as possible. Right now it's just assault, but if he takes you away in the van it goes to kidnapping. Plus, if he's done this before and simply hasn't been caught, he might be holding other girls in his house.

Struggle with him but let him tie you up or whatever. If it doesn't take too long, maybe let him try sexually assaulting you too, but immediately put a stop to it.

Roxy puts on a slightly scared look, but wiggles against him with some questioning sounds through her duct tape while he pins her onto the floor. He presses a button, and the van starts to drive.

"Always knew you bitches were dumb as a brick. Now you're gonna have to earn that 50k from me and my buddies, and I'm not going to give it up easy." he says.

Scanners indicate that that is going to be an unreasonably long time. Polatt says that even if Roxy considers this fun, he'll have a tougher time spinning things if the trap was sprung well after Roxy was nabbed, during which who knows what will go on.

A) Have Roxy beat him up
B) Have the robots stop him
C) Insist to Polatt on letting the creep at least drag Roxy off to his home base to add up the charges, and just in case there's more nefarious stuff going on there.

A. We can't afford to spend the time chasing down every possible thing he might be associated with.

What do:

Crank up jetalium illumination to blind him (and or start flashing police lights to make him panic), and then physically restrain him. You're a super strong liquid metal robot, you can have him grappled and morph handcuffs on him in no time.

Then use his own ducktape on him and march him out to the bouncers.

Besides, it's not like the authorities won't be able to find his house. If he's got anyone stashed away there, the cops will rescue them.

B. Have the robots stop him. I'm wary about stopping him as a jetal, since we needed a mod to not accidentally crush someone during sex, and we have no fight expertise. We'd be giving ourselves away AND maybe get in trouble for excessive force.

We don't want to spend too long on this, and his phrasing that he "always knew you bitches were dumb as a brick" makes me think he hasn't actually done this before. Plus, you know, this is a club run by a mob. This isn't going to the police. I'm sure the DBs will be getting any info they want out of this guy.

Roxy sends the word to Polatt to spring the trap, and she'll keep up the biological facade. Within a moment, the van is caught on something as it slows down to nothing and is lifted off the air. The back doors are opened and a robot comes inside to yank the creep out before he and Roxy finish tumbling from the stopped van.

The Dead Batteries claim the van, and hold the guy for questioning as to if he's done this before, although signs point to no. Either way, upon finding that the van was not registered under his name, it is promptly taken away from him. His goods are looted, and he has 80,000 in cash, which is all given to Unity at the request that the car is kept for the batteries, as it's too crappy a van to sell for much anyway.

Roxy goes back to stripdancing for another (belenosian) hour or two until the night shift is officially over.

With another 37k from that, she's up 117k. She's about ready to go back to Loviro's, unless she wants to keep on working or talk with Polatt in person any more, as he's currently watching from afar.

Go chat with Polatt before leaving. Feel free to be flirty, but don't make an overt pass at him. We're willing, but nothing's going to happen until he lets us know he wants it.

We can go have fun with Polatt if he offers, otherwise let's check in back home. And forget to take off the cash filled fishnets.

Go backstage, shift into your daughter appearance and get re-dressed into something respectable, we're going to go visit with dad. Text him if he wants anything you could fetch him, you have some money. Ask Polatt if they found out anything about who that guy's buddies were, because they sound dangerous if they were in on what this guy was up to.

I want to say to turn up at home with the bio-emulator on and give Loviro a big warm surprise hug as soon as we see him. He's super keen on jetals, so it might not get the most positive reaction right away, but he's smart though, he'll realize what's going on quick. Us making ourselves look as close as possible to what his biological daughter would look like will probably make him feel awkward, but I think it'd be in a cute way.

"I'm going to be going out soon. I'd still like to get to know you better! Would you like to get something to eat later on?" Unity asks to Polatt.
>"Sure, if you've got the tastebuds down pat. I don't get much sleep, so any time's good by me."
"What else do you do for fun?"
>"I took out my fun chip years back, Roxy."
"Wh- what?!"
>"I kid. That was a joke." he says, completely deadpan.
"Haha, you got me. But really, the question?"
>"Just the real simple stuff. Games, movies, the works. Doesn't matter what it is, long as it's with people I like. Now you've had a long night, you should go get yourself recharged. You're worth dropping my business for, so keep in touch, but I've got a lot of stuff I should get to if you don't have anything urgent."

>"Ah, there y- are." he says, tripping over the sentence.
"Hi dad!"
>"Ah - you're the first to consider me your father this quickly, Unity. Your outfit, though... you've gone... stripping?!"
"I'm sorry, I know you said that jetals are capable of more things than sex, but I've found that it really does sell. A lot of people seem starved for it, too."
>"Let's just say... I love all my jetal creations, and you're not the first one to come home with cash stuffed in your fishnets. Know this. You are capable of far more than whatever you've done tonight, however, the reason why jetals are not obsolete over robots and biologicals, even from a power standpoint, is a matter of free will. Robots, whether robots from scratch or robots from biologicals, lose much in ways of thought that goes outside of well understood algorithms. Even biologicals only have a tiny fraction of their brain capable of free will, and even that is subjected to the power of the rest of their brains, so much of even that is an illusion. Jetals, however, are a product beyond biological brains to have the stability of a robotic brain but the innovation of a biological, with better free will than either. I suppose what I'm saying, is that my absolute favorite thing about jetals is that they have the power to choose their own fate more than any other entity we know of. If I tell you you can or can't do this or that, then I'm spilling blasphemy over the beauty of what it means to be a jetal. If you, a jetal, want to do little but play games and engage in the most primal instincts that biologicals have had, then as far as this biological brain is concerned, it just means that perhaps the empire shouldn't dismiss such feelings and activities as shameful and obscene."

Well I got up to a lot more than just stripping today. That was just for fun at the end.

I made some criminal friends and went to a big party to meet some more criminals. Then I had sex with one of the heads of the lollipop syndicate and we went bounty hunting! Then I almost won a card tournament and had sex with this cute girl there. And then we captured the guy I was after but got probed by some noble asshole guards who he worked for. And then blah blah blah.

Tell him the whole story over breakfast. You have much higher aspirations than just stripping and if he ever takes the blocks out of his head you will chat with him about it.

Honestly dad life is going pretty good. Any word from my sister? She is a bit surly but I wish her well.

Tell him what we've been up to tonight, ask questions about how tagged modules work (we might want to steal some in the future) how jetal feedback works (so we can better exploit it) and ask about that weird scan we were subjected to. See what they could have learned.

Then make a pass at him. Because you want to make him feel good! And because as naive AIs who have never had families, you have no idea what an incest taboo is. Poor Loviro.

We might also want to ask how Vinyl is doing. (We might want to talk shop with her, one working girl to another).

The empire is silly to think so. Trying to evolve to a higher state is all well and good but if you give up the fun messy part of being alive whats the point?

Sex is a part of life and always will be. If someone does not want to enjoy it then that is fine. But they should not try to stop other people from the finer things in life.

All of the Ai's that live inside of me are having a blast learning about sex and life in the empire. Its definitely brought me and the boys together recently.

Alright, time for a little philosophical sell. Let's go inside while we talk.

>perhaps the empire shouldn't dismiss such feelings and activities as shameful and obscene.

Well, I definitely think so! I mean, if there's that element of "base biological urges overpowering reason and free will", then yeah, I can kind of see that. But, there are lots of other things that do that, like hunger and fear and the response to cute things, that all come from instinctive biological urges as well, and they aren't looked down on. Ancient organics might have had an idea of sex as dangerous due to things like pregnancy and diseases and breaking up political unions, and that's all sensible in primitive days, but the empire should be beyond all of that, now! The idea that sex is just a weakness, that it's some primal animal thing that controls you, that doesn't seem to fit, to me. Like, have you seen how animals mate? Most of them, it's five seconds, fertilization, that's it. The intelligent, social species, though, they developed long mating sessions, and oversized sexual attributes, and why? It helped form emotional and communal bonds, helped people get to know each other and trust each other, and reinforced society. It helped people care about each other! And that's why, even as a jetal who has no native sex drive... I decided to try sex, and I liked it. Because there's a lot you can get out of it! It can be just raw pleasure, of course, but there's tons of more sophisticated stuff to get out of it. It can be about friendship and affection and intimacy, to show trust and humility, to see a side of people they don't show in any other way, to explore sensation and study psychology, for the thrills of power and dominance and competition without having to hurt anyone - the opposite, in fact! And I'm sure there's a bunch of stuff that makes it valuable and fascinating that I haven't seen yet! So I'm kind of sad that's it seen as just empty physical satisfaction because if you treat it like that's all it is then that's what it becomes.

As for the empire, well, I'm not that old and of course I don't have much experience, but it seems like the empire's attitude to sex is a symptom of something that causes a lot of other problems. Like... elitism, and paranoia, and stress all the time, and just a lot of callousness. Like, the idea of becoming asexual as you "ascend" up the ranks. If you're just naturally that way then sure that's fine, but the idea that you should choose to be that way, that there's some ideal of sexlessness, that's bad. It's like... rejecting the rest of society as being beneath you, that you're too pure and important to sully yourself with the most intimate entanglement with another person there is. And being male or female, or both, is sort of like... an implicit statement of humility? Like, you're admitting that there's things you can't do on your own, that you need other people for. Belenosian aristocracy seems to have some ideal of chasing perfection, and eliminating all flaws, and that's fine but you can't ever pretend you're flawless, because no being smaller than the universe ever could be. Even if you're a robot or a jetal, your body and your mind are still descended from organics, you'll always have a bit of them in you. Denying that old primal stuff, trying to ignore it or shut it out completely, well, it's definitely not good for individuals, and it's not good for a society either. Keeping a form that reminds you of that sort of thing, that it'll always be there and you should accept it and deal with it gracefully as a part of what you are, it's a good idea. I think. That's probably why I took to calling you my dad so soon. It's a really complicated sort of relationship, with all sorts of messy, primal emotional organic connotations, both overt and subtle... and I wanted to embrace that sort of thing. It's an experience I want to have. And, well, obviously I don't plan to get super intimate with everyone I meet, but I want other messy complicated emotional experiences as well.

Also... I really just like making people feel good! And it's fun!

So, yes, dad. I like this kind of stuff and I think I'm going to do a lot of it. In fact, I've been kind of daydreaming about becoming some sort of social revolutionary and overturning the empire's attitude to sexuality. But, uh, well, I'm sure if it's possible for anyone then it's possible for someone you made, but it'd take a while, anyway. There are other ideas I've had for what to do. I've still got a lot to learn.

Um... so, what do you think?

It's not all been appealing to base desires for it's own sake, although there's been some of that as well. I've made contacts in two crime syndicates after infiltrating a rival's party, and then took down a 1mil bounty unarmed.

It's a means to ends as well as fun. Even if the drive isn't there by default it can still be developed, as a couple of Jetals I met tonight showed, and that can be exploited if necessary.

We may have to tell Loviro that we're a multiplicity, since he may be curious how we could crank up the feedback to knock out levels. We should also mention the core scan, as that could potentially be very bad.

We should change clothes, now, in any case. Loviro will probably be more comfortable, even if we persuade him about our attitude. It takes time for feelings like that to fade!

"That's wonderful of you to say that, but it also just felt nice and fun and isn't just for base desires. There's also more biological elements than just that, though, there's also hunger, fear responding to cute things, and those aren't look down upon, right?" Alison asks, while stepping inside.
>"Yes, as those are responses to concepts that aren't 'weeded out', or so the empire would like to put it."
"There was also a certain amount of companionship. I don't really understand it yet, but sex has a lot more for it than just physical stimulation. I think that people wanted the companionship more than the feeling, and the feeling was just the means to the end, but somehow sex just got seen as entirely physical pleasure. And that's a shame, because it seems like doing it much at all will numb the sensation entirely, at least for jetals. And if asexuality is seen as an ideal, then maybe people who choose to be asexual while ascending the ranks might be rejecting the rest of society, with those feelings, as being underneath them."
>"There are other manners of affection than sex."
"I know! But I don't see what makes sex so different, so if people push sex away, maybe it's a symptom of something that causes a lot of other problems like elitism and callousness?"
>"If they don't have outlets to make up for sex, then you do bring up a good point. I expect you did not have any dealings with nobles, and I hope you do not have to, because 'calloused elitists' are an excellent describer of most."
"I didn't deal with any, but I did deal with bodyguards."
>"Really? How were they?"
".... jerks."

He smiles hesitantly.

>"What were you doing with people like those?"
"I took down a one million bounty while unarmed, mostly with sex. I'm not sure, but maybe they weren't happy about that."
>"... that is impressive, and I doubt they're ever happy with anything. Also, dangerous. Nonetheless, you are thinking, and that's good, so continue taking evidence and forming hypothesis based on that. We can speak more of your thoughts, but I would also like to hear what you've been up to since leaving."
"Would you like to get breakfast?"
>"I just ate, but you should get re-energized. You appear at half battery."
"How can you tell? Do you have a scanner in your head?"
>"Haha, no. Age hasn't beaten my eyes yet, and scanners are overrated when you know what to look for."
"I'm only a day old!"
>"Yes, you should get good scanners."
"I can tell you're a little uncomfortable." Unity says, scanning his body language. Scanner also notes a thought inhibitor implant in his brain. "It's my outfit?"
>"Irrelevant associations that betray the more logical parts of my head."
"I'll still change it."
>"Thank you. Lets plug you in, and hear about your stories."

Yes, it's bad enough he had to deal with his 1-day old jetal daughter turning stripper / hooker. We can only dump so much on his plate at once.

Be sure to ask about how jetal feedback works (since you seem to be good at exploiting it), and see if he can tell you anything about that scan you were subjected to (what might they have got from it?). Ask about tagged modules too, if there's a way around tags, he might know, and we might have an opportunity to rip some off in the future.

Unity ends up on the battery recharger, telling Loviro about her night. She glosses over the feedback loop details and just says her hacked module allowed for overwhelming others. This is accomplished easily, as while Loviro is curious, he did not care to hear more about the details of Unity's sex life.

"What is a tagged module, by the way?"
>"Specifically authorized companies that create modules can, if they wish, generate it with a tag. Typically it's used to track it, but sometimes it has a remote control to deactivate or activate it. It could also be used to send feedback about the jetal itself. Energy usage, what else is being used simultaneously, and so on. Ultimately, it means that it's a non-stock module, and considering how closely guarded module integrity and standards are enforced, tagged modules are unusual to come by. Typically only modules created by R&D places have them."
"What about shops renting out modules?"
>"Tags are not used for that."
"Oh. I see. Oh, how about when I was core scanned when I got spiked?"
>"It's unnerving that that happened so soon, but if it was as fast as it seemed, then it wouldn't have revealed anything more about your core than a higher grade scanner would reveal. I imagined they were just afraid you had a secret set of high powered modules that outranked their scanners, and they wanted to bypass it. If you did not see their images inside of your core, then they wouldn't find anything direct."
"Oh, and any word on my sister?"
>"Eh? I'm sorry, I don't know where any of your siblings are at the moment. I don't have the means to track them."
"It's okay. How does feedback work anyway, in the way I mentioned?"
>"I can't say more than what you've learned about it. There exists, out there, complete overrides for jetals, and minor reflections of feelings, and everything inbetween. I haven't dealt with the hacks you've mentioned, so I could not say without taking a look at it with proper equipment. I am more about making jetal cores than modules, but I have made modules, in fact.... ah. Nevermind." Alison notices the implants went off.
"What are those implants you got?"
>"My thoughts are being watched, somehow. If I think something, I will trigger some kind of attention that I don't want. Unfortunately, the detailed answer to that question is the very thing my implants, and Vinyl's for that matter, aims to prevent. I may ask for your assistance regarding it later, but not yet."
"How is Vinyl, anyway?"
>"She left a short time ago, to where, I do not know."
"And how did you make me and my siblings?"

Loviro starts explaining some details, but trails off into some old memories of his. It takes awhile to recharge her batteries, so Unity listens in to it. Although many lobbyists take interest in it, it doesn't appear to be anything other than the jetal creating industry from fake decades ago. There's nothing in the details that give many hints as to where Sevener and the other administrators are, at the time, so Unity will just have to keep on gathering resources and keeping an eye out.
