The creatures sound a deep unnatural moan, sending shivers down Mudy's spine.
It walks over the Serpentking's mangled remains on its toes, its pace unnaturally smooth, as if gliding along the ground.

So it think we're Raital. Now this may or may not be bad depending on her opinion on Raital. We must find her intention, for taking off our disguise may be the wrong choice if we guess her intentions wrongly. Thus we must fine her intentions.

Basically ask "What do you want?"

The question for 'dad' slightly confuses Mudy, but he quickly realizes this weakness is exploitable.
>"Taikah, Kurahl is the one keeping you away from Dad."
He clears his throat.

Taikah remains silent. Her lack of facial expression gives Mudy no way of telling her emotions, but the swirling flesh twitches into new shapes slower than before.

A thought just occurred to me.

If the Blutjaeger are so bad ass that everyone seems to think that only other Blutjaeger can match them, why was a lone bounty hunter sent by the Skullking (the one who should know their capabilities best) to kill Raitel?

Clearly, there are individuals who can match/exceed Blutjaeger, and we should probably look into that, especially since our Boldling charm probably won't work on the Skullking's sons.

I would imagine that our current situation DEFINES a terrible situation. Which then makes me curious, why do you even bother speaking to me instead of simply killing me? I imagine with your power it would be no effort at all, and you clearly are perceptive enough we could likely not decieve you.
I have a hypothesis: Either you don't want to kill me because you hold to the mantra I heard you chanting and recognize that I am not wicked, or you desire something from me. Would my assumption be correct?'

He closes his eyes tightly and holds his chin firmly on his chest.
"Yes, sir, it seems my plan may have backfired."

"I'm afraid you have me at a disadvantage. Who might you be?"

He suddenly feels a gentle touch on his chin.
The man lifts Mudy's head to face him.

"If Raital is so useless to you, why do you need to kill her? Doesn't that seem like a waste of time and resources that could be put towards trying to defeat the first heir? Frankly all this hunting of your weaker younger sister strikes me as more than a little baffling. Its a waste of your valuable time. There is no need for fighting. If you can help remove the sword from her possession, I can insure she does not fight for a higher point in the succession. You gain the same effective end as having killed her without having to do so, and have a boon owed by both myself and her to you for aiding us, which would most likely be very helpful to you to help deal with this nebulous heir. >>
No. 7873 ID: 6164e0

Way better idea. If we are going to get violent on Kuhrahl, I say we BITE HER TONGUE OUT.

I don't say this for RULE OF COOL, HURDUR, I say it for several reasons.

1: We have unrestricted access to her tongue, and the element of surprise.

2: Contract magic is likely hard to use when you can't speak.

3: If Raitel is real, it shows defiance and that we do not love her sister more than her.

4: It incapacitates, rather than killing, the holder of our contract, which may have some clause about 'killing her leads to our death' or 'can't try to kill her' This act falls under neither of these headings.

5: Kobolds have sharp, cut-capable teeth. We could have her tongue way faster than a human could, for comparison.

So, we incapacitate the Blutjaeger who has a contract on us, prevent her from issuing orders that we may have to follow because of the contract, provide evidence to Raitel (if she is really there) that we have not forsaken her, and gain freedom for the short term future.

I really see no reason why this won't work.

That's...
That's actually a really good idea.
>>
No. 7877 ID: cab532

>>7873
Indeed, a fair course of action. However I see two problems with this.
First, as some have pointed out, it is unclear who, if anyone, Mudy loves. So far, it was him being a Casanova to every woman he meets.
Second, if we do bite out Kuhral's tongue, she could pop our head off, among other deeds, just as quick, considering we are in such close proximity of her.
>>
No. 7882 ID: 6164e0

>>7877
Sure, but she could do that now, or the maybe Raitel could kill us.

Remember, we are a kobold. Pretty much anything could kill us at this juncture. So I say we do what we can to gain as much control of our own fate as we can. If we die because of this act, so be it, at least we got to have a hand in deciding our own fate rather than letting someone else do so.

It'd be funnier to tell them both we're latrahl.
>>
No. 7884 ID: 6164e0

And as to the first thing, we did just get betrayed by Kuhrahl, who has already been seen to enjoy torturing things in her control/killing people simply because it was easiest/desecrating the dead. Between her and Raitel, really no choice, both in terms of emotional investment and pragmatism.

So I say with complete confidence that Mudy cares a hell of a lot more for Raitel than Kuhrahl.
>>
No. 7885 ID: 6164e0

>>7883
Lets save that trump card for a bit, it seems like something to use after incapacitating Kuhrahl via KOBOLD DEATH KISS to make sure Raitel doesn't kill us and instead helps us escape, since she was so attached to her brother she would go against the Skullking to protect him.

Plus it might mean no nose rubbing with Raitel, so lets wait on that.
