"Friend of Sue, huh? Well, I suppose that means I don't have to introduce you... if we can save her, that is. I'm a little worried about her myself, so if you have any ideas, I'd be glad to help. There's only so much I can do, though..."

> Suggest we lure Balfrog to the execution chamber.
"Could we lead him to the execution... thingy?"

"Well, he seems to be mostly ignoring humans. Not that Kazuma's doing much of anything. I swear...
Anyhow, since you're a Mimiga, he'll probably chase you if you make yourself known. It'd be easy to lure him somewhere after that.
You'd better hurry, though, whatever you do. He's trying to buck Sue off now."

I'll bet Sue can take care of herself. And we need her to buck off if we're going to bash his head in with the execution chamber.

Alright Toroko, get down there while charging the bubbler. Get his attention with a big ol' blast to the face. And then start running for the execution chamber. If we can get him inside, yell for Sue to get off of Balfrog before hitting the instadeath button. It's gonna be a close call, Toroko, but I think you can do it.

"While he has not yet acquired them, it is only a matter of time. As You Know, Mimigas that eat red flowers become wild, weapons of death. The Doctor no doubt plans to use them to attack the surface. The flowers are apparently to be found somewhere in the Sand Zone. If we don't destroy those flowers before he gets his hands on them..."

"The truth is... no, I don't want you to go, because I know about your reservations, and... because I worry about you. I don't want you to get hurt.
But if the Doctor gets the red flowers, a lot more people will be hurt. Including all the Mimigas that live here. Every one could be doomed. And because I saw you defeat that monster. Even if just barely, it marks you as the strongest among us. So that's why I'm asking you to do this.
I don't want you to take as many Mimigas as you can. I don't want to lie or force them into danger any more than I do you. I want to ask them, and explain everything about the danger involved. I want anyone who goes to do so willingly. And I want to prepare as much as possible, in our limited time, before we do this.

But most of all, I want to stop the Doctor from attempting to craft an army of berserk, hyper powerful, insane cannibals to throw against the surface as he pleases. And the easiest way to do that is to destroy those flowers."

Kazuma is a coward. Not only does he want to leave, but he'll go to great lengths to achieve that goal, even if it means putting others at risk. You should take this time to make sure he understands that his own safety and health is linked to this task, that he is not able to leave until everyone does.

After that, talk with Toroko... privately if she'd like. Booster is basing his request for your help on the fact that you defeated Balrog, and Toroko saw just how close that fight was, how near you all came to disaster. She's probably worrying, so make sure to talk things over with her before asking her to help.

"That depends on your definition of easier. Security will probably be more lax while the Doctor searches for flowers, but there will still be guards present to prevent the Mimigas from just running off. Which there are likely to be quite a few of, so it may take some time to gather them all.
I suggested the flowers because it's the quickest, simplest way to stop him, and we're on a limited timeframe. But I'm not sure which would actually be easier. If you think you can release them in time, I won't try to stop you."

Bear in mind that you are still a mimiga, and if you return to the surface are likely to remain that way permanently. Do you want to go through life having to explain to people just why you are a four foot tall rabbit? Do you want little kids to freak out and try to randomly snuggle you whenever you enter a room? We can't help the mimigas right now, we'd have to get them off the island to be safe and unless it's over a giant natural pillow deposit, we can't do that.
We can get rid of the flowers, but we'll need a better plan. Ask the scientists and Malcolm if they can make any pesticides from what's available, without any regard for things ever growing again. Tell them we're looking for Agent Orange times nuclear fallout times super-powered swine flu Dutch Elm Disease.

I guess if we can whip that up relatively quickly(Lack of time, etc.), then that's our best bet. Just make sure to wear face masks, not only to keep the chemical out, but to keep from having red flowers shoved down our throats.

Actually taking down the security and attempting to incinerate the flowers would basically hand them to the Doctor for free. Instead have Quote ask people there how to increase security or block access to the flowers, or if he's feeling shy just tape a sticky note to his forehead with super glue.

"Doctor Date wants the flowers! How can I help, in a way that doesn't involve puppies?"

There's no way you can keep the Doc from getting access to the red flowers. Hopefully he'll do something stupid with them like use them on himself to try and grow more powerful, and explode into a gross cloud of blood or something. But if you can get the mimigas and GTFO while he's stalled at the sand area, all he'll be able to do is bawwww about it from that floating island of his. Then I don't know, a killer robot could show up to take him out or something.

Let's combine these. Quote and Malco will go after the Red Flowers, and they will seek to buff their defenses and stall for time rather than try to destroy them, because trying for that will just lead the Doctor right to them.

Meanwhile, Sue and her small army will go raid the Plantation for the remaining Mimigas, and attempt to form a ridiculous army and make Reka draw far too many people at once.

Team Robots should head to Sand Zone, and look for ways to tighten the security on the flowers there. See if there is anyone living there who can help with that.

Team Mimiga should head to the plantation and break everyone out.

Team Useless Older Brother and Old Man should secure a way off the island and also make jetpacks for everyone. If they really need someone to protect them, send Jack. Sue and King should both be on the plantation team, and I'm not sure how suitable Toroko or Chaco would be.

"Actually, if we clear the way to the flowers, won't that just be handing them to the Doctor? Maybe we should put up security to block him. You know, hold him off as long as possible, while we get everyone off the island."

"... I just... want to make sure we win."
"Well... I suppose that's good, at least. I'll tell you what: I'll send a note with the robots. Their orders are to befriend anyone they meet and explain the situation. After that, we'll have to trust their judgement, because we won't be there to supervise them."

Sue: "Hey, why don't we put another egg on the incubator so it'll hatch later?"
Kazuma: "First of all, because the eggs weigh like three hundred pounds. And second because they're already in incubators. The ones outside are just more internalized than this."
Sue: "Oh. Right. ... then why aren't they hatching?"
Kazuma: "Sue you already know why that is."
Sue: "I do?"
Toroko: "I don't!"

Kazuma: "For the sake of everyone who came in late, it goes like this:

The eggs are hooked up to an incubation and life support system. In fact, a lot of the eggs are really old, but the dragons inside are miraculously still alive! We're trying to hatch them with the incubators, but due to the state of the eggs, it requires a complex procedure involving the gradual deactivation of life support, which is initiated by a password. But it can only be done when the eggs are ready to hatch.

There's no time limit after the eggs are ready (unless you take so long they go dormant again), but failing to hatch the dragons properly, either by hatching them early or all at once, could result in them dying or being born with severe birth defects, or any number of other complications. Sky Dragons are pretty rare, so we don't want that to happen.

Finally, there's no way to tell when an egg will be ready to hatch. Some might be ready in a few hours, a day... or never at all. Honestly that seemed like less of a hurdle before Mr Fuyuhiko went all crazy."

Kazuma: "You really need to pay more attention Sue. What're you gonna do when it comes time to choose your own proffession? What kind of scientist are you going to be? Do you even know?"
Sue: "I know that I can kick your ass!"

Toroko: "So we can't get anymore dragons?"
Kazuma: "Oh, no, we could. But we'd need someone to stay down here to keep an eye on them and enter the codes when they're ready. There's just no way to know how long it would take. But I can do it, if you want."
Jack: "Won't that be dangerous? You'd be all alone."
Kazuma: "Well... like I said... we're no more likely to be attacked here than anywhere else. Eventually nowhere will be safe, unless you stop The Doctor soon. You can take... Darrell... up to the Plantation with you, and I'll stay down here with the dragons. I'll try to join up with you as soon as anymore hatch."

...

Man. This is too complicated. I guess we could do that.

The thing is, as useless as my useless older brother is, he knows a lot more about animals and genetic stuff than me. Biology is kindof his thing.
Sky Dragons are really tame, but at the same time I don't think any of us know much about controlling them. So without Kazuma it might be hard to get Darrell to actually do stuff. Kindof like a horse, who's really nice and sweet, but you don't know shit about horses.
Pretty much exactly like that, actually.

On the other hand, Kazuma's the best suited for looking after the eggs, and extra Sky Dragons would be really helpful. They're really strong and they can fly. If we got enough of them, we could probably just start brute forcing problems. ... but there's no way to tell when that would actually happen, if ever.

What should we do?

The only better idea to accomplish both is to take Kazuma with you and help train Darrel how to do things and all of you how to do things with him. > oh it's Dr Itoh
Oh of course. Ha.. ha.. I knew that. I did!

King: "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!?!"
Itoh: "EYAAHH! DON'T KILL ME!"
Sue: "Leave him alone! Hey, Itoh!"
Itoh: "Oh! Sue! So you escaped, too. I managed to get away, but... That witch Misery turned me into this... And now I'm stuck here! You climbed up from the outside, didn't you? I'm deathly afraid of heights..."

I remember Itoh. He was one of the humans who came to the island with us. He's an Engineer. Of 'considerable talent' as he likes to say. He's a little concieted. But he's also completely timid. He had to ride in the middle of the helicopter and wouldn't look out the window for anything.

He specializes in... um... wiring and control systems and stuff. He was pretty cool when we first showed up, figuring out how to access all the ancient tech. But like I said, he's a total milksop, and a little self-absorbed.

Itoh: "I never should've come to this island in the first place. Oh, woe, woe is me..."

Sue: "Hey, Itoh! We're trying to rescue the Mimigas. You wanna help?"
Itoh: "And go back out there?! Hah... No way. No, I'll stay here.
Jack: "But you're stuck here! If you don't move, doesn't that mean you'll be found out eventually?"
Itoh: "Even so, it's safer than anywhere else! No, no, surely you have no use for such a pathetic, stranded little man."

... of course, when I say he's concieted, I mean he doesn't think about anyone but himself. Even when he's putting himself down, you see?

Itoh: "... listen, I won't go with you. But if you're going to go out, you can feel free to dig through these boxes. This is the storage room, so they're full of food and medical supplies, and some mechanical scrap, too. Just... leave enough for me, okay?"

>Mechanical scrap
Dang! If only Malco were here, we could try and assemble another bomb out of this junk. Ah well.

Let's grab some first aid kits and head on to the plantation. Itoh is useless to us with the party, but he might be useful later in getting off the island. As long as we leave him here, we'll know where to find him.

But if you punch King, then you're no lady.

So what the fuck is that red box anyway. Is that eye following you or is it just painted on?

It is a save point. We saw them in the first thread. They watch you, and they record what they see, but no one knows how to playback the recordings. You'd need to be some kind of robot or something. Also they are everywhere, and kind of sinister.

Oh man, that's true! ... But we haven't even used the one we have! I hope we're not going to end up being one of those teams that stockpile awesome supplies and never use them!

I'm no lady! I'm tough! Don't think I won't punch him just because I'm a girl!
... I just don't want to right now! It's not that he scares me or anything!
... I HAVE TO STOCK UP ON SUPPLIES NOW SO I'M JUST BUSY.

>>243508
> Is that eye following you or...?
It's definitely following me. Of course, the eye is made of hard... whatever it's made of, and poking it doesn't do anything. Not that I've repeatedly tried to do that or anything. It's just going to keep looking at me so there's no reason to be concerned, no matter how creepy it is.

I guess that's true. We'd probably have to drag him out anyway, and we have important stuff to do! So, I guess this is it. I sure hope we've prepared enough. Here we go...
