Say "Thank you. Thank you, Raital."

Cough up blood. Then say "How far are we? I can barely see."

Try to raise your voice, to ask "Totenkopf? Darkmoon?"

>"Raital."
, Mudy whisper with his remaining strength.
>"You're a good girl."

He can feel Raital holding her breath for moment. She rubs her face on Mudy's head.
>"Oh, Mudy.. Thank you.."
She gently brings her hand to Mudy's nose. He can feel his heart start to beat faster despite the pain.. and it somehow disappears with her touch.
With her warm hand on his nose and her soft chest on his back, Mudy feels safer than ever.

"If we do not defeat the Skullking, there will be no world to run away to. Everything will eventually fall under her dominion."

Raital sighs and pulls Mudy closer to her. She gives him a soft kiss on the head.
The two remain in silence.

>"Raital.."
Mudy finally speaks.
>"Am I... Who is Latral?"

Raital's voice is calm, but the melancholy inside strikes Mudy deeply.
>"Latral... Latral is-- was my little brother. I told you about him. You.. You made me realize he was the only one I ever cared for, besides you.

Hah.

Just realized, Taikah has a grip on the sword of betrayal.

I imagine we have some time before they begin pursuing us.

To Mudy:
Buck up, do what you can to stay conscious, and try and tell Raitell that our comrades are somewhere nearby, and that we should hook up with them. If we want to be together, we have to work to get the Skullking and the other Blutjaegers to stop chasing us by either defeating them or giving them something much bigger to worry about.

Also, keep the whole 'Latral' thing under wraps for now, and ask Raitel more about the name/her little brother LATER.'

....Of course our luck is influenced by Reaver. He is the one who actually chooses what the ramifications of our choices are, as well as choosing which suggestions to implement. So, you could argue that Reaver is the god of luck/fate for Mudy Quest, so far as our viewpoint as readers/sometime manipulators goes.

Still, I stand by my claim that things went much more in Mudy's favor today, as opposed to other recent chapters. Which I think is good, since Mudy's luck (however you want to interpret said luck) has been fairly bad recently.

tl;dr Hooray, things look reasonably better!
