Right, I actually didn't have one.

So yeah, not to clog up quest with technical details or game system, ask shit here.

first of all, exactly what is with the options thing?

What you see in the image above. I made 3D crap, and thought it'll speed up some stuff at the cost of having to wait to rig a mesh for everything. (update rate vs "loadings") Also, the updates might've seemed slow so if votes were dominant, I would make crude black and white line graphics to speed up everything. I left the choice up to the fuckball.

About the slow updates, I'm developing a game alongside the quest, on the same canvas. The latter gets obviously less of my scarce time.

well, i'm not sure what exactly we were voting for and how it would effect things.

It's to determine whether should I do crude, simple updates with MSPaint or have a Maya->Unreal pipeline for 3D ready. Because I'm not sure myself.

i like how it looks now. the pixel style looks nice.

I really, really, REALLY prefer the pixels.

Not to say you're bad at 3D or anything, it's just... I like the pixels better. They have more charm.

3D also just reminds me of terrible '3D' 'porn' and I can hardly stand to look at it, but that's not here nor there or even your fault.

Also uncanny valley.

If you make that cellshaded it could work.

...oh as far as graphics options... Well, whatever's easiest. Tone the Environment slider down a bit, and leave resolution at 512x512 imo. Maybe turn color depth down to 16?

Switch between the two when combat happens.

Indeed.

Looks like there's more votes on old style, then.

As this quest is more of a system test, I'll have to exploit you a little more, fuckball.

which means I'm back to updating, least for now
