I guess you could call it a pre-emptive measure.

I was calling it HahaQuest, but it's all good. And I need to give props to the third party suggester bit, that angle wouldn't have occurred to me.

Woah hey what is this.

How about "Rick is a Giant Pussy: The Quest" or maybe "Rick is Terrible at Everything Forever."

Also hey dudes.

hey, he may be pretty terrible and maybe a bit of a pussy, but do you think YOU could fight off a horrible monster that wants to end you?

Hells yes, I would kick that thing's ass. You know slenderman? I'm like slenderman, but my arms are all cthulhus, and the cthulhus' arms are all dicks. I'm one scary-ass motherfucker, motherfucker.

I just sit here at my monitors advising pussy bitches because your mom is terrible at giving head and I get bored, OH SNAP.

Honestly, I don't see what there is left to do with this quest. An Alanna sequel is intriguing, but "Rick" really was the only loose end.

Also, when did the summoned automata become fratboys?

Advisor, are you really Baphomet?

I am merely wondering.

So whatever you're referring to tied up every loose end and left no question unanswered? Dang, I better look for something else, then.

>>335074
Who?

Wait, Bryce Photema? The Overseer? Naw I think he is busy leading an oversexed satyr around an island of Amazons or something.

So uh what sort of things should we avoid doing/saying to avoid this situation again?

A list would be excellent.
>>
No. 25331 ID: 919826

I dunno, dude. Seems to me the lesson we take from this is, "if you have some information about what is going on, don't just throw it around to show off how cool you are or Bad Things will happen."

If you don't have said information, then you learn nothing from this and continue doing what you do.

It's funny, but you'd think 'don't be a metagming dumbass' was a simple thing.

I don't think enjoying the prequel to this which happened more than a year ago and desiring to reference it for fun and giggles is metagaming. Really you should pay more attention to what you say because goddamn Alanna has got some issues and should be treated realistically.

Basically, I suggest reading what this is a sequel of so you can know what NOT to say rather than to say. Besides it is a fine story and would suggest reading it because of that and that for any other reason beside that is stupid. I can tell The Advisor is doing this tongue-and-cheek all the way for shits and giggles too, so it's all right to metagame once and while just for some form of entertainment.

Think of it as importing a Mass Effect save to Mass Effect 2 rather than metagaming. You need to import so you can get Conrad Verner and get a whole lot of cool and funny things you'd miss out on if you just played ME2.

Eh. I'm of the opinion that if we're told we're a seperate entity, and if it's not linked, the previous adventure should be ignored in terms of this one.
>>
No. 25424 ID: e3f578

>>335223
Don't ignore it! It's fun to read. Unless you've already read it then well... uhh. Fuck I dunno, I like it when the narrator says fuck you poster, fuck you.

I've decided against reading it for now.

Just not in the mood to slog through fifty pages.
>>
No. 25426 ID: e3f578

There's a compilation formed into 12 chapters organized for easy reading, includes MSPA forum posters that Alanna responded to and not every single post.

tl;dr.
>>335229
You're probably humans sitting at a computer. You tell me what to tell Rick and/or Tika.

My viewport does have a multi-character interface, but I'm not sure how to enable it. If I can figure it out, maybe we can get some of the other characters in on this. Maybe Allie in Rick Quest or Stevar, Florence, Darbin, and those two humans in Little Angry Fairy Quest. Ooh, or maybe we could just connect with the creepy spider leg guy or the kidnapped princess and make them kill and rescue themselves, respectively!

This thing is ridiculously user-unfriendly, though. Might take me a while to sort it out.

Hey I really can't figure this shit out. You guys seem more computer-oriented, help a brother out.

I'm trying to make it so I can talk to any of the protagonists in either of my adventures. I'm using LAF quest as an example, to show you what I've already tried. Okay, so the thing on the left column would seem to be the list of people I can interact with, but for some reason it won't let me add anyone to the first list. I thought maybe I had to make a different list, which I did, but I put the other three characters on it and I still can't seem to talk to them. I know this isn't tech support but I figure this is quest-related so what the hay.

okay, try locking on to someone else first in the viewport and then in the thoughtstream.

maybe try opening two instances of the same program? get a second computer and have it locked onto the same coordinates but have it be on a different character. use a second computer if you have to. could also try googling for help.

I can't really lock on to anyone in the viewport unless it's prompting me to choose a character or something to plant a flag on. The thoughtstream drop-down only has Tika in it, but presumably it will let me swap what characters I'm talking to if I figure out how to do this right. That seems to indicate that what I want to do is possible.

Opening two instances of the program usually freezes my computer.

If I click edit on the second box, it lets me change one of the names on the second list to someone I pick in the viewport. So far it's thrown up an error if I've tried to select anyone but these four, or if I try to add or edit Tika into the second box.

Edit is clickable in the first list but this is what it says if I click it.

Why would Google have anything? This program was given to me by some people and I don't really want to talk about it. I assure you it is either unique or secret enough not to have public documentation.

try changing the second box's drop down menu.

Like I said, it throws out an error if I select anyone but these four. Buncha different ones, I was trying this before I posted the first thing here. Most are Error: character of insufficient plot relevance or something, and I got Error: character's thoughts above clearance for plot secrecy on Chuck, Gunther, and the chief guy.

Hey did you ever put in the Dragon for the second list? That might have been helpful or a fun way to mess around with the program's options.

Also once you close the program after pausing it open it up for a quick second and put in The Advisor for the 1st list and see if you can make an echo
