Discuss here.
But only if you do it in a cool noir sort of way, kittycat.

Timeline: Rose's husband goes looking for us
?
Rose's husband is shot.
?
Wake up in bar, quest begins.

Questionmarks are BIG PROBLEM. Can we afford to be arrested if we don't remember or have an alibi for those times?

Don't forget someone gets a beer mug to the face.

I didn't even consider the possibility that we might actually be guilty, but with blackouts how can we be sure?
Also, even if we're not guilty, you're right: we don't have an alibi, and if it's a frame job you better believe we have a lot stacked against us. No way we can just explain away a body in our office, let alone one we might have motive against (if it is indeed the man we were looking for).

they live in the same house. same house = same router = same IP address.

"Samefagging"?

It's been said before, but I guess it bears repeating: we have the same ID, but we are not the same person.

Welp, that's it for Chapter 1.

As this is my first shot at questing, I hope that you will forgive any errors or shortcomings (of which I'm sure there are plenty.) I guess it goes without saying things are going to be a little different from here on out...

Any comments or questions are of course welcomed and encouraged!

(And yes, I held off posting the finish on April Fool's Day for fear that people might think I was trying to pull a prank.)

I'd also like to take this opportunity to ask for your help. The name of this quest is not "Title TK" (a publishing term used as a placeholder). I was hoping something more permanent would come up in the course of the quest itself, but lacking that, I hereby humbly request suggestions for a decent:

1.) name for the quest
2.) name for the protagonist

Thanks, and I hope that everyone has enjoyed this thing so far.

Title TK is a perfectly fine name.

The protagonist should be named Piton Argots.

Ask for a name in the quest again. That's usually fun. You might even get a good name out of it!

Tiernan Keane. He goes by TK because it is less overwhelmingly Irish.

So, the fact that it teleported us god knows where leads me to believe it wasn't, but I was just wanted to make sure. Was being shot at the end of chapter one a result of any mistake on the suggesters part, or was it a forgone conclusion for the chapter. Was there anything we could have done to avoid being killed?

It was always my intention to finish chapter 1 by offing the protagonist, and although the manner of his demise wasn't set in stone, I thought that having Rose pull the trigger would give it a little more weight.

Of course I realize that having a set conclusion in mind takes away a degree of player agency, but it's not something I'm going to do make a habit of from now on - I just needed to do it this once to set the stage and get us where we're going.

well you did it well. the fact that people weren't sure if it was they that amde it happen until you just said so means they thought they made it happen, not you. reminds me of in nan where nan sees herself through the door and later we end up being on the other side of the door and it manages to sync up perfectly.
(again, good job with that weaver)
so yeah, i am looking forward to more of this.

To be fair, getting players to hug/kiss/trust a seemingly-innocent female character is about as hard as getting Ruby to hug Tom.

<Anonymage> taxi rabbit that is not your quest what are you doing in there
<starburst98> tk entered dive-verse
<starburst98> SOMEHOW
<Gnollykins> Taxi rabbit?
<Anonymage> yes Gnoll, Taxi Rabbit
<ElNakedo> But didn't she just say she wasn't at the place she belonged in either?
<Insomnia> Because she doesn't belong anywhere

<ElNakedo> You got a point there. She's like some interdimensional stoner that transcends space and time.
