What are the current stats of the protagonist? Taint, abilities, etc?

Also, was that 'coward' thing a momentary trait, due to the situation, or Sera permanently terrified in such situations?

Currently, Sera has 486 Taint.

SCIENCE: You understand basic robotic theory and how to properly dissassemble devices from pre-Calamity. (Gained Perk: Construction 1)

SHOOTING: You are proficient in the weilding and firing of small arms, but you're no sharpshooter. (Gained Perk: Lucky Shot)

MAGIC: You are highly proficient with magic and know several spells. However, past use and contact with the Taint has warped you. (Black Magic, Mutation. Perk: Mutation-inured.)

STRENGTH: You are physically weak, and cannot carry much. Melee combat is frightening to you. (gained Perk: Cowardly)

SNEAKERY: You are not very sneaky, in fact, your prescence practically broadcasts itself. (Gained Perk: Frightening Prescence)

PSIONICS: You were not born with Psionic power. In fact, you are bereft of psionic influence entirely. (Gained Perk: Null)

These are her current stats.

As for perks, they are only vaguely defined, but from what you've seen:

[Null]: Protects mind from 'interference' of psions or psionic creatures.
[Mutation-inured]: Mutations bring more boons and less penalties.
[Lucky Shot]: Sometimes makes an injuring shot into a kill.
[Frightening Prescence]: Allows Sera to intimidate foes effectively.
[Cowardly]: Forces Sera into a panic when in melee combat.

There may be more aspects to these perks, but this is what is discernable from the thread so far.

>>357849
Yes. Touching the terrible source of magical power in the world causes Taint - not actually casting the spell.

Maybe we could improve it to be even more Null. Greater resistance to psionics, maybe cause psis pain if they try to mojo us up.

From my IRC discussion with shot, as well as analyzing the rolls in tg.

I conclude that both psi and magic can be resisted.

Null traid provides a bonus to resisting psi, but is not insurmountable defense against psi.

In the last battle he kept rolling too low to overcome our null defenses, we on the other hand rolled low and got miscasts.

You know, thinking about it... i think the game would work out better if we were the subconscious of sara and the book was a separate entity. There is tons of potential there as with us vs external voices/mental influence and quests tend to get derailed and socially awkward when posters can talk to the characters individually
1. We would always be passed around.
2. Someone would always blab our secrets, immediately.

Although being a dominated demon book I guess that is less likely.

Select one UPGRADE (The selection will replace the current entry in the stat sheet):

SCIENCE: You understand more complicated constructions - the basics of wiring and mechanisms are at your fingertips, you just need the parts. (Perk: Construction II)

SHOOTING: You are proficient in the weilding and firing of small arms, and you're a little more confident in your ability to hit a target. (Perk: Double-Tap)

MAGIC: You are nearly a master with magic and know some spells. Past use and contact with the Taint has warped you, but by now, it's second nature to work with it. (Black Magic, Mutation, Perk: Mutation Mastery.)

STRENGTH: You've learned the limits of your physical ability. While not even truly a novice, you no longer panic in close combat. (Perk: Point Blank)

SNEAKERY: You're a little better at hiding your prescense. With some more practice, you might be able to slip by average people. (Perk: Simple Lockpicking)

PSIONICS: You've learned to capitalize on your psionic dullness, granting you further resistance to mental assault - and a small area of 'dead space'.(Gained Perk: Strong Null)

Standalone Perks (Select ONE):
These Perks do not rely on stats and remain static throughout.

Cherchez La Femme (Know better how to manipulate some women, additional tactical ability against females.)

Black Widow (Know better how to manipulate some men, additional tactical ability against males.)

Dance of Demons (While wearing light or no armor, you are harder to hit and have a better chance to hit enemies.)

Tainted Love (You can move one mutation from being external to being internal.)

Dance of Demons - Better dodging! My first choice.

<Shot__> You will notice internal mutations are not present on the mutation table.
<Shot__> Even moving ONE post-mutation is a huge boon.
Ok so... apparently we get to unlock a whole new mutation list to reroll in if I understand what he is saying right.

Also the mutation lists are posted in tg
>>/tg/317807
>>/tg/317810

As you can see they vary from "fucking awesome" to "detrimental" and widely advertise what type of magic you practice.
Rerolling the teeth was pretty pointless since the list it is in "mutation" is all cosmetic stuff. With the exception of fur (defense) and tail (balance)

The black mutation list on the other hand has some awesome stuff like "succubus trait" and "working wings"... we could actually FLY with the right mutation there. Not just that we might be able to get the little healer girl to fly too by giving her working angel wings.

The conern I have is that mutations match your magic type so we are advertising our use of black magic to anyone who is aware of it... making mutation mastery an important goal if we want to hide it.
>>
No. 48146 ID: 44766a

For the Upgrade either shooting or magic

For the Perk Dance of Demons. Wait is our current set of armor considered light?

On a side note, I think Sera wouldn't be receptive to being outright evil in the first place. It sounds like what happened in the vault was involuntary, perhaps a side effect of using the White Book. I second the plan for just ensuring that she doesn't become stupid good.

<Shot__> MrTT @Shot, can the mutation reroll spell switch a mutation from the mutation list to the dark magic list?
<Shot__> Muddle and Grant roll on all tables. :V
<MrTT> oh wow... ok that is pretty impressive
<Shot__> You just got unlucky with dem ears.
<MrTT> that means we can replace evil looking mutations with angelic looking ones
<Shot__> You almost rerolled the same mutation.

<MrTT> any hint as to what master mutation does?
<Shot__> It's a better version of the previous perk. :V
<MrTT> what previous perk?
<MrTT> @Shot: I thought we rerolled using a spell not a perk
<Shot__> You did use a spell.
<Shot__> You rolled first on what chart, then on what mutation
<MrTT> ok... i am seeing a perk "Mutation-inured", what does this do?
<Shot__> Essentially someone guessed in the thread.
<Shot__> Namely, it makes mutations less troublesome even upon getting them
<MrTT> "An example on how I think it works: a second row of teeth was purely cosmetic for us, for other it would be a serious speech impediment from constant tongue biting. Same with the tail: we get a balance bonus, others would tangle tail and feet and fall on their nose quite a lot."
<MrTT> this shot?
<Shot__> Yes

<MrTT> @Shot, will mutation master retroactively improve our existing mutations or will it only affect future mutations?
<Shot__> That's a good question. :3c

My vote would be to upgrade Psionics. Being a null has allowed us to avoid one serious combat encounter already and saved our ass in another; we should capitalize on it. Magic would be my second choice.

The other perk I'd pick Dance of Demons, on the grounds that being shot sucks.

<Moralfag> Yeah, I was kinda gonna say that it doesn't make much sense to be able to muddle into types of mutations from magic schools you don't use, Shot.
<Shot__> Awwww'
<Shot__> Really?
<Shot__> Moralfag, you have rights to make that sort of ruling.
<Shot__> You can muddle into types you can access.
<Shot__> Which is... Black and mutation.
<Shot__> Mutation being a kinda shitty table unless you've mastered mutations.
<MrTT> Can we cross between schools we use
<MrTT> that is... muddle a "mutation" mutation into a "black" mutation?

>Internalize ears
Ok this is AN EXTREMELY SHITTY IDEA
We have a spell that lets us, at will, replace a shitty mutation with a random one for mere 3 taint. We can recast it on the ears until we get something good. And with Mutation Mastery all mutations will be good.

I suggest we cast it on the ears until we get something good. I am aiming for working wings because flying is AWESOME.

Internalizing is USUALLY harmful/worthless, unless we internalize something that specifically benefits form being internalized.
Internalizing extra ears meas we have ears physically on our insides. That is worse then worthless.

Actually, changing my vote to Magic/Dance of Demons.
The ears should be muddled to hell in the next chapter anyway. Also, we should increase our taint over 500 to get the next mutation in town, where we would be relatively safe, as opposed to in a fight, where it will cripple us.

Only when we are VERY close to gaining a new mutation, otherwise we are just racking up the taint pointlessly.
I am for muddling the ears until we get something good like working wings, scales (armor), or succubus traits (I think that one is progressive).

http://pastebin.com/0nJK5YdE
To summarize:
Magic is better than psi in several ways, but has the drawback of taint which is a real issue. Getting too high on taint leads to bad end. As in, taint makes you into a drooling vegetable rather then makes you turn into a demon.

On whether we could funnel magic through a victim to cast taintfree spells, the answer is no. Also a spell taint both the caster and castee (ex: healing, or offensive). And even using magic items taints you.

As to whether we COULD use taint to deliberately transform into a demon/evil instead of falling apart, as well as questions about magic source, demons, etc... the answer is "no spoilers" for all of those.
>>
No. 48164 ID: bd2a40

>>357963
I still say that being a demon in not always the same as being evil.
It is quite clear that after the first part of the story, Sera is not actually evil.
What happened in the vault is a glaring unknown(no matter how evil it was insinuated as) which she either wants to forget or has forgotten due to magic. The fact that do not know either makes me think it was magic or both.

The other point in this is that we represent Legion, a demon or demons that are bound to the White Book. Due to the fact that we are all different people with different opinion on how this story should go, it makes it seem that we, also, are not evil. Some aspects of Legion want world domination, some want to sacrifice everybody we come across, some want to help everybody they come across, etc.

No matter if demons are supposed to be evil or not, it simply does not seem to be the case that they all are and I do not think a physiological change into a demon will warp the protagonists mind into being evil. Insane, due to all mutations being horrible things to suffer, probably, but not evil.

Apparently we (the book) have infinity pages.
Also Sara memorized every spell she casts cause you really really should.

But since she doesn't have eidetic memory she will need to spend time to memorize new spells... copying them from book A to book B though requires just reading through it without complete verbatim memorizing

I propose we buy books on new magic, have her copy them into us and then sell it back to the bookstore (look to see if there is a "copy book" spell that will make if faster and easier).

I am convinced writing the knowledge of other magical fields into us will do SOMETHING interesting... just not sure what. It might not but its worth a try.

New Spells:

Shield: Erects a barrier between yourself and your opponent - can be placed and 'erected' by doubling the spell cost, allowing you to create cover. Barrier can be considered to have the stopping power of Level IIIA armor, and is relatively immobile against large kinetic blows. Taint cost 2.

Smite: Creates fist-sized, cross-shaped projectiles of 'holy' energy. Upon impact, these projectiles 'explode', each arm extending five inches. Each casting launches three. Taint cost 1.

Heal: Repairs damaged flesh. Can seal up gashes and cuts, stop bleeding, and if sustained, heal bone fractures. Cannot regenerate limbs. Taint Cost: Dependant on Application.

Mend: As Heal, but for constructs. Spell relies on SCIENCE skill to properly understand necessary repairs. Taint Cost: Dependant on Application.

Bare: Generates a blast of magically imbued wind that 'grips' weapons, yanking them free of weapons and shields. Also dispels cloth armors. Area can be doubled if cost is as well. Taint Cost: 3

If I understand the IRC log linked in >>357963 right, Sickness and Pain can be deadly spells, it just depends on what we want while casting them. So far we just cast them with a general and nondescript idea, which got us mainly random effects.
I am now convinced the Sickness spells on Greyface materialized as an aneurysm or brain tumor. If I understand Shot right, we can determine what form the Sickness takes while casting and can give any sickness we can think of.

For that reason I am for Shield or Heal.

the biggest advantage of smite is that white magic is so efficient.

They don't explode they "explode". When they hit something the points of the cross lengthen 5 inches. Which sound a lot like what the projectile thingies the scary dude shot did. Obviously, ours is a much much weaker spell, but it isn't unreasonable to assume a similar effect.

the white magic book is about 300 pages.
Not sure how complex each page is (manual transcription time varies with complexity).
But I am guessing 10 minutes a page which comes out to 50 work hours for the entire book.
Considering memorizing a spell is ~ 5 hours (spell matrices are surprisingly easy to memorize)... however the book contains much more then just spells, it contains a lot of magic theory too.

Okay, we got Smite. And yeah the train got hit by Smite as far as I can tell. But spells apparently are influenced by what the caster wants and thinks during the casting. For smite I think the something like righteous fury will have the most effect, but I don't think Sera has all that much righteous fury she can marshal for casting. That's not her character. Quite unlike the attacker on the train, who apparently didn't have much but righteous fury left to himself. Anybody has more ideas what mind state and thoughts we could use to make smite more powerful?

For Sickness I have some ideas already on how to describe certain things, like tumors, malnutrition and blockages, with mental pictures to give the Sickness spell more of a direction on what to cause.

Info on the three major types of power armor

[15:17] <Moralfag> Okay.

[15:17] <Moralfag> There's three major types of power armor. Two are around the same tech level, one is more advanced.

[15:18] <Moralfag> Blue Shield power armor is the first kind, and technically the least advanced.

[15:18] <Moralfag> The "power" portion is largely just to compensate for the weight of the plates. It's very, VERY protective, however. It takes a shitton to get through, for the most part.

[15:19] <Moralfag> Second is Vault Power Armor.

[15:19] <Moralfag> Created by the as-yet-unnamed engineering company that created the vaults.

[15:20] <Moralfag> Mostly found in mostly-intact vaults.

[15:20] <Moralfag> The assisted movement actually has some power behind it, boosting strength and agility, but the plates aren't as protective because they were mass-produced as a commercial product.

[15:21] <Moralfag> However, they're still more protective than anything unassisted you'll ever wear.

[15:21] <Moralfag> Finally, there's Whitewash power armor. Barely more effective than standard platemail, though it has extra ballistic protection against, y'know, bullets.

[15:21] <Moralfag> However, the assisted movement is incredibly advanced.

[15:22] <Moralfag> It's more power than armor.

[15:22] <PriceisMagic> So its mostly sleek like Fallout power armor not like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. exosuits?

[15:22] <Moralfag> I would say

NEW SPELLS AVAILABLE.

If you do not wish to learn new spells, simply say so - and suggest inthread actions to be taken during that time, such as dialogue or the like.

FROM THE WHITE MAGIC BOOK (White magic has not been Mastered. If you select this school, only one spell may be learned.)

FROM THE RED MAGIC BOOK (Red magic has not been Mastered. If you select a spell from this school, you may only select 1.)

Enflame: Creates a fire above the palm of your hand. This fire persists until dismissed, or used in one of the following ways:
To light something else on fire.
Cast at an opponent like a profectile.
Snuffed out, as by lack of oxygen.

The spell costs 1 Taint per hour to persist the fire. If one hour is not spent, then the cost is 1 Taint.

Heat Metal: Heats a single metal object within 20 feet to softening point. The process can take up to a minute, and objects larger than one foot (cube) cannot be effectively heated in this way. Costs 1 Taint, can be persisted at the cost of 2 taint per further hour.

Pyrotechnics: A present source of fire may be shaped, snuffed, or violently magnified very briefly. Each use is 3 taint.

FROM THE BLACK MAGIC BOOK: (Mastered school: you may select 2 spells, if you do not select a spell from another school.)

Black Lightning: Lances of dark energy crackle from your fingertips, causing debilitating, full-body pain to those in their way. Costs 2 Taint, inflicts 1 taint on the target.

Wicked Hands: Generates 3 constructs of Darkness for as long as you concentrate - three floating hands. Each hand can lift 20 kilograms of matter. Each hand can exert similar pressure on living beings, switches, and the like. You cannot see through the hands. 2 Taint for every ten minutes of use.

Summon Greater Demon: Summons a greater demon. Said demon is not bound, restricted, or prevented from action in any way. Costs 15 Taint.

Lesser Binding: Pours dark energy into a prepared binding circle. The binding lasts for 2 days, and is not extinguished by your death. Costs 3 Taint.

Dark Empowerment: Adds a Boon of 4 to your STRENGTH, and erases fear in the target. Said boon may enlarge the target artificially for a period of time. Costs 10 Taint.

I forgot a spell from the RED MAGIC book.

Fireball: Casts a sphere of tightly concentrated fire at the target, which then unleashes its bound payload to the surrounding five feet, dealing damage. Area may be doubled with the cost. Costs 3 Taint.

Void: Casts forth Black Magic - small dark spheres that consume matter before dissipating. Three per cast, at 1 taint per cast.

Tentacle Pit: Summons forth a ten-foot wide zone of black tentacles. With effort, you may control them, without direction, they will simply inhibit movement. The tentacles are 4 feet long each, and the pit lasts one minute. 5 Taint.

Dark Armor: Protects you by destroying matter that moves too close. Lasts 3 minutes, or until magical power is exhausted - 15 taint.

>>358206
Good question. The repeated referencing of magic theory in quest, magic research, and the fact that most of a magic book is magic theory and only a little of it is actual spells have lead me to thus far assume that it is the study of magic theory but we all know about assuming so...

Hey, maybe its a combination of all 3 things.

One of the three, whichever happens first. :3c

Either you cast the school often enough you understand it better, you learn enough about the school's magical theory, or you commit yourself to it, though the last one is highly unlikely.

IN OTHER NEWS: Rapid-fire muddling is highly not reccommended. The first time, it's mostly painless, but soon each muddle becomes just as painful as a standard mutation - in other words, it's a ticket to Crossing Over.

Let's not Muddle at all. Our current wings aren't that bad- and there might be a better version of the Muddle spell in our future somewhere, if we can increase our mastery of related magics. Maybe we'll open up better mutation options or even get to choose what mutations our taint expresses as, if we can get enough mastery.

Get Heal for our spell.
>>
No. 48432 ID: 32e092

We've already got mutation mastery, so there doesn't seem to be much reason to believe that we'll get any better. We should muddle until we get what we want, but not rapid-fire: with a comfortable delay, such as every half-hour or something. We're not in a hurry.

Bare is one of those spells with pervy applications, isn't it.

Get Heal though, it can save lives.

As for Muddle, well... we might be able to get lightweight enough to use the wings and that would be AWESOME, but there are other issues with the things. Like, bigger profile, balance issues, getting them snagged on things... But personally I'd just rather muddle a few of our useless mutations, to replace them with Mutation Mastery stuff. Be cautious with the muddling, no rapid-fire.

Rapid fire will be FINE... we have a 1/15 chance of getting proper wings.
At most put a cap on it like "no more then 10 attempts".... but still we need to actually use it and rapidfire mutate until we get regeneration and working wings.

I don't understand people insistence on getting rid of useful mutations for the most useless ones. Or getting so attached to non functional cosmetic ones.

No. 48449 ID: 338c67

>>358247
>Rapid fire will be FINE

No. It won't.

It's not the NUMBER of mutations, it's the speed of occurrence. Mutation is something like feeling your very body reshape itself in a few minutes flat. It's surgery without painkillers. Once or twice in an hour, an experienced spellcaster can soldier through it, but more rapidly will cause them to flat out pass out or worse. This has been stated before - and it hasn't changed.
>>
No. 48453 ID: 18e515

I am against rapid fire muddling.

First there are a number of mutations I find more useful than the second pair of ears, but less than working wings. I'd rather keep them than the ears.

Second we have already over 500 taint. Shot said there is only one not insane person with 10+ natural mutations. That is somewhere in the linked IRC log in >>357963. Shot also said here that rapid fire muddling is the same stress as mutation from advanced taint. Put that together and 5 rapid fire mutation put
Sera under the same stress as getting 1000 taint
. That pretty much guarantees crossing over and Rose will kill a mindless Sera. Even two rapid muddlings are dangerous by now.

>>358247
Aside from the stress you propose to put Sera under, I don't think you understand the statistics. Read up http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geometric_distribution

#<MacroDaemon> Pain and Sickness do not exactly have that many possibilities
#<MacroDaemon> Though I have been meaning to ask, can Sera aim and localize the spells?
#<Shot__> What does 'sick' mean, really?
#<Shot__> Yes.
#<Shot__> She can cause pain in specific limbs, and specific KINDS of pain.

The control might be limited to mastered schools. But in any case when telling Sera to cast spells, please give her more than than a 'cast X'. Try to think of a specific effect you want to generate and give Sera something to hold onto when the casting taint goes through her.
>>
No. 48461 ID: 3947e9

I think there has been some miscommunication.
I don't know about others but I meant "rapid fire" as in "repeated castings in reasonable timeframe" not as in "cast it without any rest in between castings"

Also... is there any reason we cannot take some painkillers before casting muddle mutation?

>>358261
I'm still arguing against repeating it at all. I mean, at least repeating it until we get the desired result.

We know what happens to people who accrue too much taint. Let's find ways to work with what we've got instead of risking our remaining humanity trying to make ourselves into some kind of supersoldier.

For example, maybe instead of trying to focus on flying we can turn our leathery wings into some sort of coverage. Get armor SPECIFICALLY for the wings so that we can use them as a total defense option in a last resort by wrapping them around ourselves or someone we're trying to protect.

Also, as to painkillers: Speaking as someone who's had a family member get addicted to those, BE FUCKING CAREFUL WITH THAT SHIT.

Technically, the word is the final say. Such bindings are physically impossible to defy - if Sera had, for instance, commanded Harumda not to impregnate her, he could still have sex with her, but would find himself shooting blanks.

Smarter demons are able to exploit loopholes, and all demons will seize the opportunity to ruin someone's life with a poorly worded command.

Only incredibly loosely.

Due to the ending of the Hatverse series, Legion is, technically, a universal constant. However, he manifests differently in each world, or at least, he can.

Harumda is just a beloved character. His appearence is meaningless. :3

so... Shot just told us in IRC that Shot is short for "HowDoIShotTrip"

Which makes him a veteran quest author... also raises the question of how to reconcile the two names on the wiki.

She's probably not married though. So it's like, she doesn't want to panic Rose in case she isn't keen on raising a kid.

I never read any quest by How Do I Shot Trip so I had nothing to work off of.
When it came up I looked him up on the wiki and found out he was a prolific author and started reading his older quests.

Speaking of, I managed to find the final chapter of Rune Quest and added it to the wiki, but it is missing at least 1 chapter between 3 and the finale which I cannot find. Anyone kept a link?

List of current spells with description, because I always forget some.

Inflict Pain: 3 Taint, causes target to suffer pain of 4 on a 1-10 scale.

Summon Minor Demon: 10 Taint, summons a minor demon to the Material plane permanently.

Cause sickness: 5 Taint, Induce vomiting and nausea in the target.

Darkness: 6 Taint, causes a zone of darkness to appear and persist for 10 minutes. The zone cannot be penetrated by mundane light sources, but will be destroyed by sunlight in ten seconds.

Muddle Mutation: Cause (free) or reroll (3 Taint) a mutation in a target (including oneself).

Enflame: Creates a fire above the palm of your hand. This fire persists until dismissed, or used in one of the following ways:
* To light something else on fire.
* Cast at an opponent like a projectile.
* Snuffed out, as by lack of oxygen.

Fireball: Casts a sphere of tightly concentrated fire at the target, which then unleashes its bound payload to the surrounding five feet, dealing damage. Area may be doubled with the cost. Costs 3 Taint.

Shit. I knew I forgot something. Due to my mistake, you're getting a bonus spell.

DEEPER DARKNESS: As the spell Darkness, but the darkness cannot be removed by sunlight. Costs 10 Taint.

SHADE: Prevents others from recalling distinct details regarding shaded body parts - commonly used to hide one's face more properly with a hood or hat. Costs 1 taint to maintain for one day.

LURK: Silences sounds within shadowed ground. Costs 3 Taint for five minutes.

If I spoke here, Rose wouldn't hear it, would she?
>>
No. 49062 ID: 01ec94

You were directed here because >>/quest/384955 was pure discussion about the past. No relation I can see to suggestions what 'we', as Legion, or Sera should, or shouldn't, do and say.

The issue with >>/quest/384951 isn't Rose, it's Sera. Or rather Rose isn't the main issue.

Whatever happened in the vault did damage to Legion and Sera, both. They are both missing something aside from the memories. Neither knows what exactly is missing. Only a feeling they lost/left something in that vault crops up from time to time.

Second Sera's mental health is very important. Whenever she reaches a full hundred of taint, she undergoes a crucible. If she can't keep herself together, if she doesn't has the will to endure, she will be a mindless husk attacking anything around her.

The way you spun it will alienate everyone but Harmda currently with Sera. That means nothing outside herself to hold her in this world. Add the caring and friendly character of Sera and even just telling her she willfully killed all those people, people she knew, will devastate her. Where would she take the fortitude to endure the next crucible from?
>>
No. 49073 ID: 1854db

Oh, I got their names mixed up. I meant Sera.

You know, we'll eventually figure out what happened there. It will be less of a shock if she thinks about it a little here and there.

No. 49090 ID: f70e5e

yes think about it, maybe even tell her some of our theories once we have more evidence to back them up. but telling her it was her fault is not going to accomplish anything but aggravate her survivor guilt and stir up her buried fear she may be a monster after all. this is something that will have to be approached with great care, and could emotionally cripple sera if handled carelessly. you have to understand that one of her greatest fears is that she was somehow responsible for the death of everyone in her vault, so even talking about it when she is listening in is a bit risky. if your not 100% sure she won't take something about the vault massacre poorly say it here and not in the main thread.

Hrm, a thought:
Angels/demons use holy/dark magic (or the same basic forces at least), but neither group seem to be affected by the taint like mortals are. (It might have caused the angels' insanity, but all the demons we have seen appear to be completely unchanged from their previous selves.)
This seems like something we should investigate by asking Harmuda and shadow-guy.

Questions on spells:
-What is the casting range of shield? Can we cast a standing shield around an enemy to delay them?
-Am I right in thinking that Dark Empowerment would increase the target's running speed through its combination of enlarging them and making them stronger?

Some people were asking if Sera looked like a demon.

The answer is that yes, yes she does.

Some notes - The scales turn blades for the most part. This is including the frontal ones. However, the front ones aren't quite as durable. The Mutation Mastery gets around the fact that it's a little harder to move with them, and also covers maintenance. Sera knows how to properly clean herself behind and between the scales.

And yes, she shaves. :V

As for her age - she is now roughly 19 (I think), and naturally looks young for her age.
