This is a discussion thread for anything relating to The Shouters. For those who are unaware, it this quest takes place in the same world/universe as both Peep Quest and Incense. I would be happy to answer almost any questions concerning the setting, characters, or story.

Or, if nothing else, here is a place to put Shouters things if you cannot find a better one.

So far I dig despise my minimal participation on what to do.
Kind of wish Lester would have kept the scorpion and named him Rudolf Schenker, but ah well what's done is done. Maybe the gods of future rock will have mercy and will send his soul on a journey like no other in search of unlikely companions all though the cosmos. Or maybe we can forget the scorpion and keep on groovin.

Also we need to play more as Raullo, just look at that sly motherfucker's grin.

can we get some background on the political history between artholl and serratia? and maybe relevant surrounding events? it seems like there's a lot of rich stuff there that hasn't been explicitly brought up in canon.

Artholl and Lutania (highlighted in blue) have not been directly at war for centuries, however their opposing economic and religious ideologies and rapid, parallel growth have bred mistrust and mutual fear.

As of the time at which The Shouters takes place (1962), both Lutania and Artholl have stockpiled large quantities of thermonuclear weapons. Currently in development by Artholl is a ballistic missile system capable of reaching Luta Nol or, at the very least, northern Tafarla. The enmity between these two nations stems not from any specific incident, but instead from self-defensive fear that the other may attack.

Augerna and Augan Sur have become a large pie to slice between Serratian and Arthollite colonialism. The absence of a global war has prevented the halt of direct expansive conquest into less developed nations, but military technology has still advanced due to relatively large but localized conflicts.

Everyday citizens of Bahm (the world) have grown accustomed to the constant fear of annihilation, giving rise to near universal fatalistic dread and all-night parties.

This is some real nerdy stuff I guess.

Soooo, somebody pulled out the word "kootje" like it came from somewhere, but I haven't been able to find it ANYWHERE else. Is there an explanation for that?

RML has mentioned bits of her setting before in the IRC channel.
The Serratian races are:
Puntams Serratians, the puma-looking cats
Kootje Serratians, the tiny striped cats

So, do you think RML is going to continue this after he finishes Coxwette?
I really liked this, and I feel it would be a real shame to let this Beatlemania-style quest go unfinished. I really liked the setting, and all the characters were fun and enjoyable to see interact with each other.
Also, Raullo predicted the best character in Undertale, so it has that going for it.

You and me both, little buddy.
But first, let's wait until Coxwette is finished before we spam the guy to finish this one, eh?

Nah, this quest is dead. RML feels it was a failure. No way she's coming back to it.
