So, what websites/tools/generators are you guys using when preparing and/or running games, aside from rulebooks?

I've only ever run/played D&D 3.5, so most of it is system-specific.

EL calculator. When I can't decide whether six CR 3 opponents are too much or not, I stuff the numbers and compare it with the party average ECL.

Mosnter and spell filters. Immensely useful when you want to make the next encounter have, say, jungle-themed monsters but don't know what exactly to pick to not make it unbeatable. Same with spells: it comes in really handy for navigating spells by something other than their name. Too bad it only has core spells.

NPC generator. Helpful for quick & dirty mook creation. The site has other gens too.

Name generators. Pretty flexible and requiring very little tweaking.

City map generator, picked up in /meep/ desktop thread. Not really a web resource, but it’s really just a single .exe after installation. Useful for getting an overall map if you don’t need a tactical grid of the entire city (and why would you?)

As being a part of the project that has an established setting, I find these to be a good reference guide for what characters can or cannot encounter in the world.

Also, as a metricfag, I also sometimes find use for these:

http://www.unitconversion.org/length/feet-to-meters-conversion.html
I know if I move over to Win7 I'll have them in the calculator, but it's often much faster to open another tab in your browser.

Pic not really related but made for a campaign I'm running.

Don't use many online tools.

http://www.d20srd.org
http://www.d20pfsrd.com
for rules of course.

One thing I've found to be a pretty valuable reference is this:
http://www.simetric.co.uk/si_materials.htm

Lists the weight of a cubic meter of various materials. How much does a sarcophagus lid or life size gold statue weigh? Now you have an idea.

(a large man is about 0.1 m^3, or 4 cubic feet. Other good thumbnail figures for Imperial - water is about 62 lbs per cubic foot, rock is ~150, and metal about 450)

Does anyone have a guide for faking an accent?

Though this seems to be more of a DM thread I'm gonna throw in what I tend to use as a player (also 3.5). The entire group tends to have laptops open when we play so these are more at-the-table things for players than for DM setup.

Everyone in the group has their characters sheets on this site. We just give the url to the DM.

Having the SRD on hand makes things very quick and easy, I prefer it to opening the PHB. I've got the google search to this as one of my firefox searchbar options.

http://www.wizards.com/dnd/dice/dice.htm
The official WotC online dice roller. Used if I'm feeling lazy or I forgot my dice.

http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/er/20040125a
Official errata. Helpful when I feel like being a rules-lawyering douchebag.

http://www.crystalkeep.com/d20/
http://www.imarvintpa.com/dndlive/index.php
Indexes of damn near everything. The first is used mostly for finding unique weapons for my special snowflakes, the second is searchable and because of that I prefer it even if closed content only has a brief description and a page number for the source.

http://www.pathguy.com/cg35.htm
As a group of lazy people having a quick and fairly-comprehensive generator is a necessity, if only because it calculates shit for us. The main site has generators for a bunch of d20 system games and for 4e somewhere, but I don't use them much.

Generates a cliche megadungeon by modular cells. It isn't all that useful to me but nice for inspiration every now and then.

http://www.anothercaffeinatedday.com/resources/default/inns.html?source=woc
Quick inn generator, if you want to go all detailed for whatever reason.

Thanks for the links. The spell collection at imarvintpa.com is just wicked awesome.
