So, I was sifting through my pawn shop recently, when I came across an interesting looking game system--7th Sea. Gonna be giving it a try tonight, if only to check it out and see how it is. The only thing I have left to set up, however, is music to fit the mood. It can be video game music or film music or whatever, but aside from Pirates of the Caribbean/Alestorm/Running Wild, what would be good music to play for a pirate campaign?
Monkey Island music, see if you can't find some recorded sea shanties.
Here's 50. http://preview.tinyurl.com/33bqzoc But basically, the Decemberists and Flogging Molly are your go-to guys. You can probably pick up an album of drinking songs cheap or free too.
>>8119 I played a character with somewhat loose morals in a campaign once, and the DM had someone chasing him as per the Mariner's Revenge song. He'd start whistling the mother's refrain as the character's leitmotif, and it was quite effective.
