Among the Dreffeshon desert tribes, the most commonly seen, and yet most mysterious, are known as the Wastelanders. These traders and go-betweens travel the deep wastes, able to take more direct routes that contain the most harsh, sun blasted terrain.

What few know is that these shon, wrapped always in thick linens and with lit lanterns, are not Dreffeshon but an exile tribe of Miskashon. They were cursed many generations ago to never see the sun. For them it is always night, cold and dark with no stars nor moons.

The curse is not passed down by blood, but by a ritual the wastelanders willingly cast on their offspring. And so they have outlasted those who wished them dead.

Adrianne Prower was as serious a scientist as you could hope to find. Even as her colleagues were experimenting with radically transhuman bodies and sexual mores she stuck with her original body, focusing on the work. And so it was to her eternal embarrassment that a single moment of pareidolia not only woke God, but made her a silly snake lady. Even now, long after her death and dissolution, her soul still carries a hint of a blush.

So sense the torch that is the quest...who will take it up? The torch is still hot, so it wouldn't be easy at all to do. Maybe one would need to make a few small torches to start out with, so one could warm up the to the heat before trying to bear it. Or maybe one should instead start their own fire with torches own flame? So that they can make their own torch that can burn bright, if not brighter then the original? All I know for sure is, if we let this fire sit for long enough, it will go out...

It would have been cool if I could say something like "I got married and had a child before this quest updated" but nah I'm still single

Appreciate as always, as for whether or not you've seen, it's kind of up to you all if you want to roleplay that or not. Obviously you're not all the same person and therefore might feel differently about whether you actually "saw" that or not, but I'll go with whatever feeling seems to be the strongest. In general, I'm cool with whatever outside knowledge people wanna bring to the table. People know what the king in yellow is and how it might influence things, (though I may be using the entity a little differently), but this quest is meant to be an adventure that suggestors shape. If the majority wants to roleplay as if they didn't see it, it's not going to be a fail condition or anything like that. The story will continue to move on and be shaped by that action.

So due to some shenanigans, I've found a thing that seems relevant to Aldequest... seems to maybe have some spoilers. Also, from what I know of GMing, the world as described in your worldbuilding notebook and what actually gets made are not the exact same thing. So presumably the actual quest canon overrides anything here that conflicts. And also, 'the map is not the territory' and all that.

a couple reasons, mostly meta ones

first, as you can see, part of the fun is making Lucy grapple with the taboo. gotta make you guys work for it a little

second, going for historical pseudo-accuracy, i don't think the average housewife was terribly kinky, nor pet chastity devices widely available

third, henry jess quest and my Toxic Yuri VN (as seen in the attached image) both featured major characters that were mostly sexually shameless, for good and bad. i like mixing things up.

Thinking about it, if she cannot 'autofilter' our voices like a lot of other quest MCs can, that's going to clearly be a source of...issues. I kinda implied that before, but I just want to be very clear about it since I've been thinking about the matter more.

On the side of entertainment, it really relegates the quest to either Maya stumbling through absolute madness the ENTIRE time and basically having everyone act weirdly as her mind breaks itself into multiple pieces trying to listen to everyone, or there is a soft practical cap on how many suggesters can do anything at a time, which is inherently unfun.

That's not to say this is all a horrible setup and it should be changed- but from what I'm seeing, this is something everyone needs to keep in mind- the more suggestions that are input PERIOD, regardless of content, the more fractured Maya's psyche gets trying to listen to and execute all of them, barring QM moments that allow time to pass without our input.

I would personally suggest that if we want to keep her sane, happy, healthy, and able to think about what's going on with her feeling cold and whatnot, we try to limit massive varying suggestions and just to go with one of the first 3-4 options of whoever suggested, just with tweaks at the worst.

I mostly liked what was here, and, of course, there are criticisms and you could definitely do it better now.
