Well keep on smashing until you can fit through the hole.

Yes, make a hole, large enough to fit through, if possible.

"By the name of all that is good I sunder this hole as it impedes my progress!"
Technically I am 'just' a knight, but saying that felt really good.
The base is quickly obliterated. From the inside I can see the mechanism to open it. Oh well.
The stairs lead into a rough room with what appears to be a primitive well in it. The room is very dark, even my elven eyes have a hard time penetrating the grim darkness of the cave.

((Bad picture is bad))

Use your shield to reflect some light into the hole so you can make out whats down there better.

See if you can see to the bottom! Maybe throw a torch down there.

I have neither, I had to ditch everything else to keep pace with the creature. I didn't need a torch so far, because of my superior elven senses.

There isn't much light to work with, not enough for a human to see its hand in front of its face, but I manage to illuminate the well a bit. I see that the well widens after a few meters, but the bottom is still veiled in darkness.

You should not jump or climb down there yet. We have yet two tunnels to check out.

By Al'ama Lylyn Tryim'Ral Tyrneaghymn, she who walked breathing on bottom of the ocean to purge it from the countless horrors of the deep, receive thy punishment!

The Mimic contained a bag of marbles! They appear to be filled with a milky liquid. They give off a faint glow.

>"Who is it?!"
My ELVEN VOICE fails to sound very impressive.

After a pause the same voice, high and melodic, so either a human female or an elf, speaks again:

Ask the person a question only a mortal would understand like.
"What is the duty of all?"
If they answer to serve the almighty, to serve the king, to live there own life, or anything a mortal would answer if they had anysort of creed to them they are more than likely some one who has been captured. If they aviod the question they are either the demon or a sinner stupid enough to be captured. In which case be on your guard.

Oh fuck, she's calm as hell. She's bait. There is a giant toothy fish in the water that her feet are connected to. Don't get in the water, oh god, don't get in the water. She's just like a Siren.

If she asks for you to come into the water and help her up, ask her why she just doesn't grab onto the rope and get enough of a grip that you can help her climb. Just don't touch the water.

I might be crazy, but I think there's something in the water on her left (your right). And there's something wrong with the lower half of her face. Looks... discolored.
