Now what?

I am in Belize. This is where I built my tower.

Anyway, I gotta check those radiation-levels first and do some tests. Let's see...

...There is radiation. Quite mild. And tests also indicates that there are tons of shit floating in the air. Fuck. After I left they started that nuclear war-shit I guess.

I have to seal my tower to make sure that toxins and radiation won't cause any problems...

Aaand done.

Hmmm. Internet seems to be working somewhat.

I thought that maybe there were other magical spots of teleport goodness around in your home dimension. But hey, where you built it is pretty cool too, I guess.

Speaking of building the tower, why does it do the V-shaped crease thing about halfway up? That seems like it would be really hard to keep structurally stable, and I don't think anybody's really asked about it yet.

Also also, see what's new on the 'net.

It seems that there was a nuclear war between NSU, USA and China. It seems that it ended pretty shortly. USA is mostly inhabitable, NSU is mostly radioactive wasteland and China is struggling to rebuild. Europe did suffer some blows as well, but not as severe.

And that V is my nincompoopery. I should fix it... someday. It doesn't cause any problems.

Anyway, this was interesting. I wonder if the facility I worked in still exists...

I was away two years and they already managed to fill large portition of my 200MB mailbox. What the fuck. Goddamn spammers.

Anyway! I don't need to hire henchmen or send a spycam. I hid a VTOL around here, and unless they found it. I have only one radiation-suit, but I can quickly fix up one for Doc or two other people of my size ( Helena and someone else... ).

And nah, there won't be any mutants. Radioactivity fucks pretty much everything as it causes mostly negative effects. So basically, I can expect to see really sick animals and lots of roaches and such.

This may be a basically magic-dead world, but the fact you brought the DOCTOR and the SOP and ORGANIST wit you from this world, as well as the construction of the Void Engine, tells me that magic and its effects are definitely going to be a problem.

The magic is almost completely dead in this world according to the Sister. She went very long way just to establish a simple communication with the demons ( well, that is when she was still young )...

I don't think I need more than two or one! At worst there might be sentries or something, but there is a very high chance that radiation has fucked them up. Not to mention most of powerlines are cut I presume.
Hiring other people is also risky. I am still wanted for my crimes against humanity, remember? It would not be a challenge to get workers, but getting fair workers that won't steal everything they come past? Oh come on. How many would I need?

How about you just get Helena to deal with the workers? She has ran a group of bandit mercenaries or whatever in the past so she can probably keep some Belizeans or whatever from making a mess and stealing supplies. Also it means you don't have to announce yourself until your nuclear missile launching robot weapon or whatever is done.

Have you got any allies that you could try to contact? Subtly of course. Don't let them know where you are until you're sure they can be trusted.

Allies? With NSU? Hahahahahehehehehihi! Let me laugh!
NSU tried to purge me after project ended so I wouldn't leak information or jump out of NSU. They did it with the staff involved in project метла. I managed to slip from their grasp and steal equipment, money and a VTOL. With money I stole, I began to build my tower.
So, basically, world wants me for my crimes against humanity and NSU wants my head because I worked with that project and stole from them. I don't have allies here.

Anyway, Helena has only two bandits left. That guy with the flat face and that annoying bird. Third guy ( if I recall correctly, his name was Vance ) died when Megamanta got destroyed. What a shame. He was pretty cool guy.

If your VTOL doesn't have some kind of anti-SAM defenses, you might want to consider putting some together real quick. All of you should bring sidearms, with Helena and the other guy getting rifles and you getting some explosives. Also bring a camera, a radio, and an extra couple days of provisions. Oh, and a spare pistol for when you get disarmed (in both senses of the word).

Got em'!
Weapons, medical supplies, anti-rad... Got it! The VTOL already has quite advanced missile-defense systems.

Did I say USA is inhabitable? Oops, I think my thoughts scrambled. Most of USA has been reduced to unliveable radioactive pile of shit. I read that NSU somehow managed to drop propaganda-nuke on the east-coast. Светящиеся дьявола. I worked little on that thing ( few days, I just did few electronical adjustments and moved on ), and it was supposed to be detonated in fucking space! A 1.2 gigaton nuclear bomb is something that just SHOULDN'T be used in war. NSU just wanted to create it to show that they could handle creating bomb of that magnitude and flying it to space!

Project метла... Was another abomination of NSU. We basically just researched and produced weaponry. We build few nuclear bombs for testing- and war-purposes. We also created ton of weaponry that was probably banned by Geneva Conventions. For example, the nano-rifle. Uses nanobots to destroy target's cells, basically it just causes a very severe necrosis that spreads like motherfucker. It was pretty slow though...
Guess how we know, we used some human test-subjects too. Doc and other medical scientists required many living human for their tests.
Then there was that genocide. NSU decided it was great fucking idea to use this weaponry to wipe out a city taken by rebels.
So, that's about it.

Ah, it's still here!

"In an hour fag."

Man, that flatface is goddamn annoying. From what Helena has told me, the bird is even MORE annoying.

Well, we kinda stopped developing the nano-rifle. One of the reasons was because it was kinda easy to develop counter-nanobots. Armies just would pump counter-nanobots in the soldiers, we would need to develop new ones etc. We just decided to develop energy-weapons, conventional weapons and other shit.
US had researched nanobots for warfare before NSU. Like NSU, they used lots of unwilling human test-subjects. During years 2030-2040 spies and media managed to uncover many secret projects. Nanobot-research of US, China's underground concentration camps, biological weapons of UK, Scandinavian nuclear weapon program etc.

I haven't been spotted yet. Great!

Well, there is another entrance, but I don't have access-codes for that door. Really stupid. I have the stupidest shit with me like passwords for kitchen, storage for radioactive materials and that huge elevator, but not for that single door. It was used for easier access so we did not have to use that elevator all the time when someone left the facility.

There is also tunnel underground witch we used to ship materials and products. It takes to another base 50 kilometres away, which I don't have passwords for.

He's kinda alright. He just busted his legs when landing. I think he's going to be alright.

I also noticed that radiation is very, very mild here, so it is safe to easen up these suits a little. There guess some sections might be flooded with radiation.

"So, Ezekiel or whatever your name was, can you stay here for a while?"
>E: "Yeah yeah. I guess. It still hurts, but no that badly! Leave me some food. I think I can kill time here with my legs broken."
I leave him some supplies. Food, drink and a blank notebook I found from my VTOL ( plus some pencils ).
>H: "Try not to die. I don't want to lose more of my friends and comrades."
>E: "Yeah yeah, sure."
"Let's go and do scavenge some shit!"
>H: "Very well. Bye Ezekiel."

Okay. Now I really have to think what to do next. Starting up backup-generators is pretty obvious thing, but after that I might have some security-stuff. chop-U drones activating would be the worst thing.

262136

Okay. The defense-systems are divided in three parts.
Drones, which mostly guard inside. Mostly Chop-U units which are armed with powerful laser and machineguns.
Turrets, which mostly guard outside and shoot down planes or passerbys if needed.
And the "Purge"-system, which basically wipes the whole facility out when needed. I really shouldn't worry about that as it needs to be manually activated.
So, I need to cut power to Drones first. After that I can either turn on the power as there are no turrets inside expect for really important areas ( IIRC there are none in the room where I can reprogram the turrets ).
Or I could just go around and cut power to both while at it, just to make sure nothing BAD will happen. The drone-overmind is on floor below this floor, which might be hard to reach because of doors. Turret-control is on this floor, and I think I can access it quite easily.
>>
No. 262139 ID: fa980d

Disable the drones AND turrets. Once the power is up, we can always come back later and reactivate as necessary.

Also, in case there are some things we have to worry about, is there any way you could jury rig a remote to wipe the facility that we could take with us? Leave no evidence behind!

Make sure Ezekiel is not in a turret guarded area. He's a resource and you don't have enough to waste them.

Then go disable the drone overmind. We can reactivate it once we have either got valid passcards or we have managed to reprogram them.
>>
No. 262143 ID: f2f452

You've got some time. Cut drone power as planned and make sure that you can get to the turret reprogramming room without encountering turrets on the way.

Also make absolutely sure that the 'purge' trigger hasn't been activated. It's the sort of thing you'd do if you had to abandon a base, setting the purge to 'on' after shutting down power so anyone who tries to steal your base gets killed.

Can you reprogram the drone overmind and turrets to recognize your friends and aircraft as allies?

First priority should be to check if this facility has any aircraft or vehicles available. Bigger crafts mean more loot. Also check the labs for ideas in progress and the research stores for discarded projects. The nanobots were discontinued on the basis that counter nanobots are highly effective, but on low tech, high magic worlds nanobots could be a subtle and terrifying weapon. There could be more ideas like that. Things like invisibility devices for aircraft discarded because they create huge radar signatures, microwave weapons that could be countered by reflective armor coatings or mech designs that have no place in modern warfare.

How long will the backup generators run by the way? It might be an idea to unlock doors if the power is inevitably going to go out after 3 hours or something.

No secret messages. I did not feel like doing those kind of things back then.
And yeah. The photos.
That's I and my father in father's laboratory. I don't remember the time when this pic was taken. I think I was... four to six years old. Yeah. The other picture is me and Katy during my holiday in Moscow. Katy was assigned as my guard, which was very convinient since we had relationship. She was supposed make sure I did not leak information or try to escape. Fun times.
I think they moved my more important stuff to the vaults underground. I guess vaults are best bet when trying finding fun stuff like plans or weapons. Vault for nuclear weapons is one thing that I really want to check. They might have 20MT nuclear devices lying around doing nothing!
Then there is hangar. There might be some vehicles there, I am not too sure. That would be awesome. Biologic-sector is another thing that I might want to visit. I could bring Doc some stuff from there. Then there is the stasis-chambers which... might... have be offline because of power outage. Fuck. Fuck.

Well, stasis-chambers contain animals, zombies, zombies and zombies. Why am I worried is because we stored few 'super zombies' there aswell. One at least. Unless it has escaped.
Super-zombies were basically heavily modified zombies. There is one which I am worried about. Remember when I told that zombies can regain memories and consciousness? Well, that fucked did that and proceeded to go on a killing-rampage. I think he managed to kill 10 or 12 security-guards and several scientist before it was stopped. Officials insisted that it should be preserved for further research.

I will be heading for the vaults now.

Hmm, a bit of a crazy idea. But right now it seems like maybe it would be a good idea to not go any further until you have some more back up than a guy with a broken back and a fairly regular chick.

Just seal the place up securely. Go back to your tower, pick up Doc and the Organist, then go back here with a big sack of looting. That way you can be reasonably sure that you won't get horribly killed by some ungodly monstrosity that managed to burst out of stasis when the power went or something like that.

Uh? Most of zombies in the stasis-chambers are quite weak. And most likely dead. Well, they were simply test-subjects and probably can't break through the pods. Expect for that one. I still cannot comprehend why they gave it those claws.

Anyway, I am at the vaults. These gates are pain in the ass operate. They take like a fucking minute to open. There are around 30 vaults around here, so finding my possessions might be problematic.
01 has documents that officials felt like hiding. There is a failsafe that sets all documents on fire, but I don't know much about it. I don't think I have disarming-codes either.
02 vault is for weapons, aswell is 03. 05... equipment? 06 was for radioactive materials.

Oh, and add that if he had just been upfront about the whole zombie deal then things would have been alot easier for everyone. You don't have anyhting against the livingly impaired as such, but when it seems like they're trying to get close to feast on your delicious brainmeats then things get troublesome.

Shout out that you just want to talk HONESTLY and if he keeps trying to hide things and run off it's his own fault for making you shoot him.

Now if he'd stop trying to leave and/or kill you, can you just have a CIVIL and USEFUL conversation?

Also you have a helicopter and can take him wherever he wants to go if he'll help you out.

You could tell him that you're kind of wanted for crimes against pretty much everyone and actually knew what kind of shit was down here. Your first reaction to seeing someone walking around in here was pretty much "OH GOD! IT'S A FLESHEATING ABOMINATION!!!! I'M SO FUCKING DEAD UNLESS I GET IT FIRST!" which might win him over. I mean come on, mistakes were made in the past and all that, but it's not like you really caused any lasting harm or that you're not offering to make him better. We were worried that if he was a zombie he'd either remember for what you'd done and want to get revenge, or that he'd just attack you regardless of whether he recognized you. Given the nature of some of the experiments, we really didn't want to take any chances, so we opened fire. The way his arm came off pretty much confirmed our fears (he was an intelligent zombie who might recognize you) so we tried to kill him while we still could. You can tell him all this if you really want to.

Well, the VTOL can carry 1000 something kilograms of weight additional to it's own. I weight 49 kg, Helena, uh, 50-60? Ezekiel is probably 50-60 too, each of nuclear warheads weight 100 kg. Nuclear material found weights 250 kg. I could also take a CHOP-Us with me. That would weight 200 kg. About Jon; I don't know.
The space is probably a problem. Hm...

>>266938
God damn, those are some pretty light warheads. But I guess you can save quite a bit of room by only having the part that makes for a big nuclear boom.

Anyway, you don't need this place right now. But you might need it in the future as a base of operations for the glorious recreated Motherland. Just make sure the security systems are operational and that the power will hold up for a few years, should be good enough.

Anyway, seems like you got most of the immediate useful stuff from here. You can return in a few days with Doc to check out the cryo rooms and stuff. But for now you should probably return to the tower and get your new stuff stashed.
>>
No. 267017 ID: c0f679

Just bring some CHOP-Us blueprints. They probably suffer from the standard defense drone weaknesses with a few weak spots etc.

Bring some tools and lab equipment instead. Maybe you can get some teleportation related stuff so you can experiment on that Ancient teleportation tech? See if the info vault has anything on teleportation by the way.

Regarding the purge - There's no need to purge this place. It's a good hideout in an emergency and you could sell its location if you wanted. Make sure the purge is set to go off if someone else tries to use the base power though. That way you could come back and disarm the purge, but anyone else would probably just blow up the base.

Hmmm, I think the warheads were left over here by mistake. They most likely used them to build nuclear missiles, but those are either leftovers or defective. Or just forgotten.

I grabbed myself some CHOP-U blueprints. It is a fine model, and laser is very fearsome! I once observed when people tested it against zombies! Zap, zombies in half!
The problem with transportation is not necessarily the weight, but the space. I don't see how I can fit that bomb-material and warheads in a smallish VTOL safely.

As for using this as base; I don't know. I am not really sure I can challenge my home-world yet. Sure, I have warheads and materials and money, but problem is Europe and some other countries that still are strong. Some countries in Europe had been manufacturing nukes in secret against treaties. They kept their nuclear dick well hidden, unlike some countries.

I'm actually pretty surprised how empty this place is! We had over fucking 400 warheads or something here when I last checked, and man, that wasn't THAT much. We also had many many vehicles ( some were left unfinished. Which is kinda ridiculous, since some of them just needed minor adjustments in electronics ), weapon-prototypes etc.

As for equipmenOH MY GOD NOOOOOOOOOOOO.
EMPTY EMPTY EMPTY! EQUIPMENT WORTH OF MILLIONS, GONE! WHERE IS NANOTECH?! Oh god

I feel like crying right now. Seriously.

I created the best VTOL ever! It can carry up to 23 tons and can fly for very long periods! Yesyesyes. It is not very stealthy, but it is slightly faster than before ( according to my calculations ). Stasis chambers are too bothersome to carry around since it requires ridiculous work to get them uninstalled and reinstalled. What would I stuff there anyway?! Bread?!

>J: "Wooooah! That is so cool! Adventure!"
"Yeah yeah, help robots to unload gargo."
>J: "Uh."
>H: "Just do it."
>J: "Very well!"

Boring, but we have time to plan!
To be perfectly honest, absolutely truthful, I am not going to win against this world. Even after that war, it seems that SOME nations are standing strong. My bots are still mining in the world I previously visited.
Maybe I should jump to next world? I have nukes, tools, metal and resources, so it should not be even hard to destroy it!

Yeah sure lets go to the next world. After we find a way to bring along the VTOL. Oh, and do you have what you need to build a nuclear powered spaceship?

Hmmm~h! The Device still needs to cool down hour or two.
Almost done! What am I going to do with the Maximum Fuck? It would be so cool to use it in other worlds!

Either dismantle it in easy to put together pieces and store it in the tower or try to bolt it to the outside of the tower and see if it comes along with you that way.

Rush over and tell them to calm the fuck down. Inform Doc that we hired the guy, and try to get Doc to agree not to mess with him.

Doc is probably not in any danger. But you should probably still try to calm down the situation. Point out that Doc can help the guy get a somewhat better life or something.

Tell Jan to chill out. Doc only experiments as a hobby now. He's not on the NSU payroll anymore so he doesn't HAVE to take Jan apart and put him together again in the name of science so he is completely safe from harm.

Later on ask Doc one to one if he thinks he can do anything useful with Jan. Like clone him to create an army of raging, regenerating super zombies or something. Obviously they'd need to have a weakness as well as a perfectly reliable way of being controlled, but I can't see anything going wrong with a plan like that.

Run over and exclaim over how delighted you are that they know each other, it's good times all over the place. Also ask if Doc built Jan, because man, he is awesome! We blew up his head and he bounced right back, very impressive.

But now he works for us so only keep messing with him if he asks for it, please.

"Calm the fuck down Jan."
>J: "Butbutbut..! They are the reason why I am deaaad!"
"You don't look very dead."
>J: "Yeah, but...! Still...! This is not kind of life I wanted!"
"He is not on NSU-payroll anymore, so don't worry. He may even improve your life."
>J: "... Fine! But I don't like you! Remember that!"
>D: "Very well---"

Jan leaves to help others with the stuff.

>J: "So--- you brought him here---?"
"Meh, he might be useful."
>D: "He went--- on rampage--- before--- Remember---?"
"Uh. Well, I will make sure he will not anymore!"
>D: "If he does--- destroy his spine--- We attached tissues on his spine--- which ensure recover--- even after vital--- organs or bodyparts--- lost."
"Ah, yeah. Doc, is it possible to clone him and make super awesome hyper-zombie army of death?"
>D: "No. Cloning--- zombies---? I am--- quite sure--- that won't work. We--- even made modifications--- to him--- which make it very hard--- to replicate him---"
"Bummers."

So, I guess I have to get that VTOL inside and leave.

Remember to try to implant some microexplosives on his spine. Should make for a good control method.
