Build. Defend. Attack. Destroy.
Capture the enemy intel.

May or may not be inspired by a certain game containing blocks...

Try it, it's fun.

Also, BLUE ARE MASTER RACE. Watch your puny green heads.

There is an important piece of information that you did not include in your post.

How free is it?

No, that information you could find by bothering to click the link.

What he did omit was any indication of server or time if he was suggesting tgchan all bundle on and build a base together. Sorry, I mean UNDERMINE GREEN SCUM CONSTRUCTIONS AND STEAL THEIR THINGS, ALL GLORY TO SUPREME BLUE TEAM, together.

I played it for 3 hours. I thought it was an absolutely brilliant game. Nothing bad to say, other than it has limited to no cheat protection.

You get invincible players known as 'griefers' floating around being fags, spraying grenades all over the place, and wrecking everyone's hard-built shit.

Seriously, this.
Finding a server without hackers was nigh impossible.

I managed to find one, inconspicuous, small game which stayed clear for a while.

Played for about 3 hours as well.

It's in constant development and anti-cheat measures are being taken care of.

They just introduced votekicking in the 0.26 release. And it got way more stable with 0.33 beta.

I'm already addicted to this, but as soon as this game gets LAN support and/or servers with passwords, oh blimey!

Also, submachineguns, artillery and sniper rifles in the works, as far as rumours tell.

Actually, I just played it again. It's up to version .35

Best thing of all, there were no hackers at all this game.

Also, for a period, the game devolved into Space Marine roleplay. Made for an excellent time.

Given that people already shoot you at close to the draw distance, I'm really not sure what the point of a sniper rifle would be.
>>
No. 14698 ID: 8c73c8

>>14697
obviously they will add more spread to the regular rifle. so if you want to actually HIT someone at that distance you need sniper.

oh and can someone put the .msi file into a rar and re-up it somewhere? for some reason i can't download it.

All you've done there is make the rifle redundant, especially given >submachineguns

Watch where you point that "obviously".
>>
No. 14701 ID: 9e36d5

Sniper rifle could be a rifle with not tracer fire and a silencer. But less ammo and no damage to blocks.

Normal Rifle would be standard weapon.

Submachinegun would be useless on long ranges. but effective in tunnel fighting and trench cleaning. Or pinning down enemies behind cover (spray and pray).

I actually like that you can destroy blocks with guns. I enjoy picking apart enemies' buildings. Especially since you can topple structures.
>>

so are we gonna figure out a server or some sort of united team game?

I just play in the 'Gravy Rainbow' server. I helped build an awesome Blue fort, but knowing how things go, it's probably just a crater now.

Especially when people make fancy flag towers and you can snipe out the bottom block from a concealed tunnel.

(Sniper towers are usually thick enough to need pickaxing, but with the risk comes the reward of killing a bunch of campers with fall damage.)

At first glance this game looked like a Minecraft with guns. But after playing it for a few days I really enjoy how simple it is. While the game is just capture the flag, the way about getting the flag is the fun part. It's open ended; It's how you want to play your role. Defend, build a base, attack try to get the flag. But it goes beyond just basic roles how you want to defend and how you want to attack is what makes this game.(well at lest for me it does)

Actually, there was an awesome part yesterday.

One Blue member kept bitching about this massive bridge being built by the greens. I offered to rendezvous and help him take it down, since there were too many greens working on it to do it alone.

Anyway, I ran into another blue on the way, who agreed to help. The original guy got killed behind enemy lines while we were moving to him, but we kept going anyway. We tunneled into their base, communicating via teamchat, and co-ordinated ourselves efficiently and covertly, holding fire and waiting where necessary.

We got up to the bridge (big, tunnel-sort), and we hid on opposite sides. We took out the 4 workers / guards quickly (never recieving return fire), and successfuly razed
the bridge.

We all died eventually when they spawned and came back, but it was so awesome. They spent forever on it, too!

It also demonstrates how efective simple group tactics and organization can be (as opposed to "rush-and-shoot" style games like the recent Call of Duty).

Buddy system, spreading out, flanking, advancing on a path with the least possible visibility, using terrain as cover.

It's possible to take out a whole group of enemies just by having one guy shooting them and another taking them out from the rear. With no losses whatsoever.

Everything of this a result of the long-range high-letality guns.
Its simplicity is truly beautiful.

Plus the fact you can build or carve cover literally anywhere, plus resealable tunnels to reposition between sniping.

It's a reason to be iffy about the predictable drive to add things.

It's an unfortunate matter for some, but it's inevitable, really. Eventually there will of course be automatic weapons and all that. Maybe bazookas and stuff.
It would be cool if there were two-man operated weapons, and you couldn't use them without a partner. It would force cohesion. You know, best teamwork wins.

Imagine this game... playing with people you know and like... with headsets... or at least just the ingame teamchat... for organized efforts... against some nice opposition...
oh god, so much win.

When I try to play, the site displays the message "Beta Testing on Hold..."

Does this happen to everyone else or just me?

Yeah, the game's you know, on hold.

Because of this, I've taken the time to start some modding. The little VOXEL models are cool, and I couldn't resist defiling them.

I already shared this on /draw/, but I don't know if anyone here goes there.

the teamwork required for this is amazing considering the simplicity in it.

defend your base, get the other intel...

but wait! You can build whatever you want to achieve this!?
cue fortresses and watchtowers.
Seriously though, teamwork has never been this fun
