I am pretty sure that setting it on fire will only make things worse. My advice - use a bolter. And then some more.

I seem to remember that the Synx is made of pure soft sci-fi failure. You want to vapourise the damn thing in its entirity. Settle for nothing less than a thorough plasma bath.

Plasma furnaces.

You basically have the choice of suffocating or being eaten to death by horrible flesh-melting nightmares.
But when suffocating, you at least have the comfort of said horrible flesh-melting nightmare screams.

Hah, no. If memory serves, these SPECIAL MAGICAL CREATIONS will instead dive into your skin and swim about in you for a while before bursting out. You know, kind of if you took the lifecycle of an Aliens Xenomorph, but instead of little facehuggers growing into slightly larger chestbursters growing into full-sized humanoids, they're already at the last stage when the jump in. And instead of going down the throat, they have some chronically bad science bullshit about microfibres allowing them to slip between cells without harming them. Although they can cut your tendons from within and wear you like a meat puppet, because that's cool and we weren't using enough bad sci-ci alien cliches yet.

I think the made-of-plasticine biology also applies to them; somewhere out there is an image of one of these things using vibrators, despite the lack of anything approaching a genital opening. It's decided to jam them into its body haphazardly.

This has been Fun Science Time with Anonymous.

(inb4 they end up in the Unified Setting and/or as a quest protagonist.)

I would use them... but as a hazard/enemy. Then again I'm running Lovecraftian modern dungeon crawling. It would would fit pretty seamlessly among those abominations.

ChimeraSynx is constantly adding shit to the already ridiculous description. The first idea was kind of cool. Sneaky rip-and-tear carnivore/parasite. Right now it has razorblade-like skin, can squeeze through every opening, rubber bones etc. It's ridiculous. It's like a reverse sparkledog.

Here, the author's own word were but a Google search away:
>Synx has something on it’s skin that resembles the tiny, clear hairs that are along human skin, but blue. These are not hairs, however, even though they feel the same. They can be compared to intestinal villus, and can be quite harmful when active. When they vibrate Synx can seem to ‘melt’ through soft flesh (Muscle, fat, etc). This is because those blue villus can utterly unravel the cells and sticky webbing holding soft flesh together. This effect is especially successful on the more narrow parts of Synx’s body, like the hands, fingers and tail tip. This ability is a key element in it’s survival because Synx is a parasite. It will use this ability to crawl into the sides and underbellies of large beasts and monsters.
Thankfully, nobody else will have read that bollocks, because they'll be too busy looking at the far more interesting image of one of these things jamming sex toys into its eye socket.
