This is a quest about committing crime, in space. Let's determine what kind of CRIMINAL you are.

Killer
You don't necessarily get off on violence, but it is your go-to problem solving method.
+Good Somatics and Willpower
+Start with an illegal gadget or weapon
-Poor Savvy
-Anger Issues

Wiseguy
There is no space mafia (least as far as you know) but organized crime is still very prevalent, and you have all the connections.
+Good Savvy and Intuition
+Start with two employable contacts
-Poor Cognition
-Substance addiction. You're on space smack!

Specialist
Up until now you were a fine upstanding citizen, but that didn't pay well enough. A life of crime for you!
+Good Cognition
+Start with splice morph (customize your appearance!)
-Poor Somatics and Willpower
-You're a damn coward

Killer - Kidnapper
Starting Gadget: Taser (Nonlethal takedown weapon)
Takes targets alive. Kills everything else. Sometimes that includes the client.

People don't die when they are killed, making killing slightly more socially acceptable! Killer.

Someday...

>KILLER
We have a winner!

>Starting Gadget: Taser (Nonlethal takedown weapon)
It's small enough to fit in a pocket and fires two electrode darts at close range that deliver an incapacitating shock. Works fine on normal people but useless against robots and tougher morphs. Does this sound good, or does somebody want to suggest a different starting gadget? Just about anything is plausible as long as you can carry it on your person and it can't cause serious damage to the habitat on which you live and draw breath.

Plascanno-
>Cannot damage the habitat

Blah.

Get a Vortex Gun then. It's got more rounds, can knock anyone on their ass from a hundred yards and it absolutely cannot break space stations.

Buzzer launcher specifically programmed to eat anything that isn't a spacecraft hull component. Or an eyeball. You can get good money for those.

>Vortex Gun
Bulky and loud, but might be good in an emergency.

>Buzzer launcher specifically programmed to eat anything that isn't a spacecraft hull component. Or an eyeball.
Spacecraft and habitats have too many diverse and modular components to be able to program a nanoswarm so discerning. Instead it ignores cheaper, non-nanofabbed metals that habitats are usually made of (like steel) while still targeting the lightweight alloys that you often see in synth morphs. As a Killer and not a Specialist, you won't have the technical knowledge to reprogram the swarm to target anything specific beyond its broad functionality.

What's our final choice?

1. Taser (self-explanatory)
2. Buzzer launcher (shoots out a swarm of nanobots that eats people, but not their eyeballs I guess)
3. Vortex Gun (non-lethal, knocks targets over)

Buzzer swarm.

If our victims' eyeballs are uneaten, obviously we're collecting them and storing them in a jar or something.

Vortex Gun, because then we can torture them at our leisure.

Alright, let's get this show on the road.

This job is simple. All you have to do is scrap somebody. But you can't find him. Staking out his apartment, you haven't seen anybody enter or leave in days. You've heard he likes coming to this bar though.

The place is pretty full. A few people seem kind of spaced out, which is normal. That guy on the floor isn't breathing, which isn't normal.

Suggest an action and I will roll percentile to see how well you do. Lower rolls are best.

Give the guy on the floor the Heimlich maneuver with your foot.

I'd say we should ask the other patrons about the guy on the floor, but we probably don't wanna be too visible if we're tryna off someone, in case they wise up and scram. Try to act natural I guess, order a drink and sit near some punks who are riding a nice high so they won't bother us or remember us.

Walk up to the bartender and ask, "Who's the stiff?" while taking a seat. Buy a drink but don't drink it just yet.
