So much money and I don't even know what to do with it all. Just sitting around until it runs out seems kind of boring if I do it for too long, so I think I should use it on something that will keep things interesting.

I can't even think right now. There's so many options when you're stupid rich.

I wonder if, in this universe, Minotaurs can navigate their way through mazes? If so, Thodren is the guy to take on a ruin expedition. Think of all those twisty turny tunnels.

"Punish" our minotaur friend by demanding he comes with us on our next adventure. He'll not only be useful, but we can get him back for being a dick and ruining good bacon.

Oh, and bring puppy-head. For picking locks or molesting. Whichever comes first.

Have Thodren and Jehral along. They can fight over you, maybe.

Jehral, Thorden, and you would be a great, well rounded team.

Jehral would be sneaky and traps.
Thorden is meat shield and damage.
You are a red mage with healing, damage, utility, and good physical fighting skills.

But Rynh is already a mage, fighter and thief in one shapely package!

We need a cleric or something.

Your merc guild's fairly diverse. Perhaps you should look around for someone accustomed to working underground? And dwarves, or other subterranean folk you could think of that would be an asset in a deathtrap temple?

>Escorting some archaeologist through some ruin he wants to check out. Apparently, he doesn't want to deal with anything that might be in there himself.
Wait... "an" archaeologist or a team of them? I remember there was a posting about a bunch of archaeologists checking out some ruins. Is this a different one? Or did the rest just bail on the poor guy?

>>288102
Sounds like a good idea to me. Depending on what being an "archaeologist" is here (searching for knowledge?... or searching for loot?), it might be worth it to bring someone a bit more scholarly, as well. They're less likely to get bored and stumble into something nasty. If you think you can handle travelling with that many nerds at once, at least.

Branch out a bit. It's good to have pals, but there are hundreds of mercs around; no need to always default to the ones you know best.

>get Thodren to come... along.

:rynh: "... and they generally don't have crossbows."

:thodren: "I guess that's a good point. I'll think about it."

So, other than Thodren, I could probably get Jehral for sneaking around and maybe someone used to the underground. I'll check around a bit.

289659

Repostan from chapter five.

There's Thodren for a meatwall. He's pretty huge.
Shera is a catfolk, she's big on running around and throwing things. Kind of like Jehral with bigger tits...
Stark, he's an archer. He shoots arrows from a bow. I don't know what else to say here.
Kryssa, shoots bolts from a crossbow. Yeah...
Gustav is a mage. He's better at magic than me, but I could break him with my bare hands. It all balances out.
Jehral, tiny target with throwing daggers. He flips out and stabs things.
Dagnyr. He's a gnoll, so he likes stabbing and biting things.

Gustav, Thodren and a guide. That's enough.

>>289659
thodren, as our warrior meatshield
I'll assume Rynh as a mage/cleric thing... we can heal people, right? If not, we can learn before that. right?
Dagnyr is our slashy slashy fighter
Jehral is our rogue for small places. Sometimes small is better.
And Shera, cause lets face it. Rynh needs people of her own gender to talk with. plus two rogues are better than one.

Possible replacement of jehral with Stark for ranged support?

Thodren for brute force
Jehral for Jehral
Shera... also for Jehral
>>
No. 289675 ID: 6ba8b3

Thodren for muscle. Gustav for proper magic. Shera to steal all the attention from you if even for a few seconds. It will be a welcome relief.

No Jehral, never again. Take a goddamn break from Jehral. Preferably forever.

No. 289676 ID: 383006

I don't care who else they take, but leave Jehral and take Shera instead. Jehral is a useless twat.

Jehral might not even want to come. Who knows what's going through his head these days. If he wants to, cool. Leave the touchy feely confusion behind, though. You've definitely shown YOUR interest enough. It's up to him to decide if he wants to reciprocate, and some guys are slow at that. So just leave that stuff behind. (If he's not up for it, go Shera, but don't tell her she was the backup)

I'd recommend Gustav, if only so you can talk nerdy about magic and get on the other party members' nerves. Plus, perhaps learn a thing or two that you could adapt to your magic style. Adaptability seems to be one of those things we're going for, right?

Is this a four-man band we're going for? Or getting another? Dagnyr could be the fifth wheel, for the lulz, if possible. Or Nako, if she's up for it. She's a gobbo. Gobbos know underground, right? Plus, she has fun explosion stuff.

292002

I got Gustav, Thodren and Shera to come along. It seems like a decently balanced choice so I don't have to try to half-ass my way through everything.

I wait for my sword to be completed, gear up and wait for word from the client. Let's get going already.
